Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Anthony Armstrong, M.Eng., P.Eng., a Canadian engineer, author and researcher whose unusual NJ-12 Biosphere Project asks one of the most sobering questions imaginable: If humanity failed to prevent an all-out nuclear war, could enough people, knowledge, technology, plants and animals be protected to allow civilization to begin again? Armstrong says his interest in nuclear survival developed after working in a short-term scientific and technical military-intelligence position at Canada's National Defence Headquarters. His engineering background has also included electronics, solar-energy research and intellectual property. Armstrong's concept eventually became The NJ-12 Biosphere: How to Survive “The End of the World as We Know It.” Published in 2020, the science-fiction story follows Nathan Daniels, an engineer who develops a massive self-contained Biosphere Dome City after exposure to military planning convinces him that some means of preserving a remnant of humanity would be necessary following nuclear catastrophe. Armstrong describes the concept as a kind of modern-day Noah's Ark, intended to shelter people and preserve elements of Earth's biological environment and human civilization for potentially hundreds of years while the outside world recovers. But Armstrong's thinking extends beyond fiction. He has continued developing what he calls a Biosphere ARK Dome City, proposing highly advanced technologies for energy, protection, transportation and eventual ecological reconstruction. Some elements of his proposal—including zero-point energy, force-field protection and zero-gravity craft—remain speculative concepts and are not established technologies demonstrated at the scale his project would require. Armstrong nevertheless argues that contemplating the enormous requirements necessary to survive a nuclear exchange may itself serve another purpose: reminding humanity just how catastrophic nuclear war would actually be. The Trump administration is directing the Department of War to develop a nuclear strategy that would give the president shorter-range, lower-yield and supposedly more “usable” nuclear options during a regional war with Russia or China. They call it “escalation management," but what they are actually doing is making nuclear war easier to start. Washington is developing plans for fighting a nuclear war with Russia or China while attempting to convince itself that the conflict can remain limited. It is transforming nuclear weapons from instruments of last-resort destruction into battlefield options placed before the president during a regional crisis. It is insanity, and someone must stop it. But I don't think anyone will.“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” 1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJB)On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, according to NBC News, Under Secretary of War for Policy Elbridge Colby is overseeing the drafting of a classified strategy that places increased emphasis upon tactical nuclear weapons. Five people familiar with the plans say the strategy would revise the nuclear-response options presented to the president during a military crisis. The men planning this strategy want the American president to have choices beyond launching long-range strategic weapons capable of destroying cities, military installations and enemy nuclear forces. They believe smaller nuclear weapons could be used to deliver a limited strike, demonstrate American resolve and force Russia or China to stop escalating. This is the language of madmen attempting to make Armageddon sound manageable. A nuclear weapon does not become safe because government officials attach the word “tactical” to it. It does not become controllable because it has a shorter range or a smaller explosive yield. It still produces a nuclear blast, radioactive fallout, mass casualties and an immediate demand for retaliation. Once the first nuclear weapon is detonated, every carefully drafted Pentagon theory becomes meaningless. The American people are expected to believe the same war planners who failed to control Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and decades of Middle Eastern conflict, including the one raging right now, will somehow control a nuclear exchange between superpowers. They will not. In March, Department of War officials publicly acknowledged that Colby's policy office and U.S. Strategic Command were conducting a nuclear-strategy review examining American force requirements and possible additional theater nuclear weapons. Instead of conducting a traditional Nuclear Posture Review subjected to the customary interagency process and congressional scrutiny, the administration moved the work into an internal strategy review. The architecture of nuclear confrontation is being deliberately expanded. The Trump administration is not putting out the flames of global conflict. Through the Department of War, it is fanning them while assembling the machinery for a catastrophe that will consume everything in its path. The Bible tells us that the day will come when peace would be taken from the earth, and the nations are getting ready. That day is almost here.

Gaius and Germanicus: Gaius invokes the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, highlighting how the Kennedy brothers used caution and trusted advisors to avoid nuclear war. He asks how a modern crisis can be resolved when the "emperor's" word is no longer trusted. Just after Donald Trump's first term began, he announced that he was considering eliminating the Federal Emergency Management Agency — the agency that helps Americans amid unthinkable disasters. And just a month ago, Trump repeated his disdain for FEMA, declaring that he's poised to make some big changes.  On this week's On the Media, we present the first installment in a four-part series called American Emergency: The Movement to Kill FEMA.
