One to One With Jesus with John Graham.
This morning we explore an inconceivable lesson of our rabbis in the Midrash, which I heard from Rabbi Meilech Biderman, that Moshe did not "believe" God that the Jewish People had made a Golden Calf. The rabbis, conceding the difficulty of this, show us what Moshe means to teach us, a message that can drastically reduce Machlokes, aggravation, and recrimination from our lives. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation. We take great pleasure in welcoming everyone with a warm smile, while sharing inspiration through prayer, study, and friendship. Questions about how to respond to Christians who disbelieve your faith because you still experience homosexual temptations, whether Christians are morally obligated to refuse to do business with LGBT customers, and principles for determining what kind of proofreading jobs to accept or reject. How should I respond when other Christians disbelieve my faith and repentance solely because I still experience homosexual temptations? Are Christian business owners morally obligated to refuse to do business with LGBT customers? Can you offer any moral principles that can help someone determine what kind of proofreading jobs to accept or reject?

John 20:24-31 | Do Not Disbelieve, But Believe from CrossPointe Coast on Vimeo. Preacher: Jeremiah Fyffe Scripture: John 20:24-31 THE DOUBT OF THOMAS DO NOT DISBELIEVE, BUT BELIEVE MY LORD AND MY GOD BLESSED THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE Charles Spurgeon I regard this cry of Thomas, first, as a devout expression of that holy wonder which came upon him when his heart made the great discovery that Jesus was assuredly his Lord and God. John Chrysostom For he believed not the Apostles when they said, “We have seen the Lord”; not so much mistrusting them, as deeming the thing to be impossible. 1 Peter 1:8–9 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
In this passage Jesus appears to his disciples but Thomas isn't present. Thomas says he will not believe unless he sees Jesus himself. What does believing without seeing mean? Would we be better off if we could Jesus physically with our own eyes? Should we pursue signs and wonders as evidence of Christianity being true?
Notice how when something shows up you go to belief, disbelief or distraction. It's very difficult to use relative concepts to see over time what that's pointing to beyond the words. It's not logical or reasonable. The ego mind will use that to turn you around because it wants you in that carnival. It's terrified of the open space, of not knowing. With each person this will have its own kind of chemistry or texture. It will be very personal to you. Notice the way you believe or attach to something before you've even investigated it. Of course, it's about being aware of that. https://youtu.be/edtHLuvjEr4

There is a theme of unbelief as you survey the Gospels. Thomas is the prime example upon his hearing of the resurrection of Jesus. We can look down on him for such unbelief, but what are we afraid of losing that keeps us from walking in faith-filled obedience to Christ? Listen to Pastor Haakon's exhortation for more.

In October 1978, horror movie audiences were introduced to a new killer, Michael Myers, who dressed in blue with his collar up, carried a knife, and covered his face with a white mask. In February 2017, an eerily familiar figure appeared on the Monon High Bridge in Delphi, IN, a killer dressed in blue with his collar up, one who was carrying a knife, and seemingly had some sort of white scarf or mask that had previously covered his face. Is it just a coincidence, or do these men have more in common than we ever realized? Are they truly the embodiment of the devil, in the form of the antichrist? Join host Ryan Kraus for part 6 of the Delphi Murders as we go down the hill into the abyss to find the truth about boys who struggle to become men by emotionally exorcising their demons.

Today on the show, I am sitting down with Deborah Tuerkheimer, a former prosecutor, legal expert and leading authority on sexual violence, to examine why we are primed to disbelieve allegations of sexual abuse and how we can transform a culture and a legal system structured to dismiss accusers.Look, it's a hard conversation to dig into abuse and abusers and the people that they hurt, but it's an important conversation to understand why culturally, we tend not to believe the people who are getting hurt the most in this conversation. We look at it from a bunch of different angles, and Deborah very graciously allows me to ask a lot of really ignorant questions so that I can better arm myself with information that we should all have. I hope that you will listen in and learn, as I did.------------------------------Have you heard about the HOTLINE yet? Call (737) 400-HOCO, and press 1 to leave a question for Rach.
