When you get into marriage, you're going to be hypersensitive to any type of criticism or feedback from your spouse and it has really nothing to do with your spouse because we should be able to give each other feedback and grow. Marriage is a little different with three kids than it is with no kids. We talked about ways to work which is going to help move the business forward. The Smart Passive Income Online Business and Blogging Podcast
#550: This past episode, I interviewed Eric Wooten from AltaredMarriage.com, who's right in the middle of building his business. As you might have heard in that episode, I asked a lot of questions where Eric was like, "Well, I'm not exactly sure," or, "I'm still trying to figure it out." Today I want to tell you that it's okay if you don't know exactly where you're going, if you haven't figured it all out yet. To be honest, I don't know of any business owner or entrepreneur who's had an un-messy journey on their way to success. I had a very messy start. But here's the thing: as long as you're doing, you're not failing. So if you're not sure where you're headed or what to do next, give yourself some grace. Give yourself permission to get messy and fail. It's okay. #76 - Today we are talking about marriage. Marriage is still a goal for most people. But, I often think that it is entered into with a “happily ever after” mentality; that it will be automatically blissful forever. But like everything organic, it is a growing, morphing, changing entity just like the people who are in it. It changes because of those growing, morphing, changing people who are in it. So, in order to preserve it, you have to make it a priority. When you make it a priority and set the intention to keep it shiny while everything around it changes, you have lined yourself up for success. It is not hard to do, it is just a skill set that can be learned. We are not taught this because many don't about it themselves. It can be learned the hard way, through experience and hard knocks, but now, with the wonder of information at our fingertips, it is readily available for those who seek it. I am speaking with Eric Wooten, who is a couples counselor, and together with his wife Jill, is the founder of Altared Marriage which aims to help couples nurture their bond and thrive in their marriage. I hope this podcast comes at the right time for you. I hope it gives you a direction if you are at a crossroads. And as always, I hope it gives you the impetus to learn more, and be better than you were yesterday.Show notes for this episode can be found at:howtolife.com/076
