Okay so I finally dragged Michael into the studio. It's been like two or three houses ago since he was last on, and honestly every time I get him on you guys go nuts with the questions. If you don't know, Mike is my husband, my business partner, my bestie, and the back office brains behind everything I grow. We've run this business together for eight years now and people are always shocked we haven't killed each other. So we're getting into all of it. How we split our roles, how we make decisions together, the aligned client thing that took him a whole year to unlearn from corporate, our weirdly aligned money habits, and the time I found out he was sleeping on his brother's couch when we first met (I genuinely thought he'd lost all his money). It's a fun one. He's an Aquarian so just lean left of centre and you'll get his energy

This special episode of TV Gold looks at the Australian comedy Deadloch.Podcast hosts Andrew Mercado and James Manning review the second season of the hit Prime Video series and also included in the episode after our review is an interview with the stars Kate Box and Madeleine. About Deadloch Season 2 (Prime, 6 episodes) Detectives Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) are in Darwin to investigate the death of Eddie’s former policing partner Bushy. However, their plans are soon diverted when a body part is discovered in a remote town called Barra Creek. With the Northern Territory police force focused on a large-scale search for two missing backpackers, Dulcie and a very reluctant Eddie are tasked with identifying the John Doe. Sticky, sweaty and juggling comprehensive thrush infections, the detectives find themselves embroiled in a world of crocodile-fuelled tourism, overstretched Indigenous rangers, cagey locals, and seven-metre prehistoric predators – all of whom call Barra Creek’s stretch of land, and water, their home. As the humidity builds, and Eddie and Dulcie dig deeper, more questions arise for our duo – not only about the case, but the many secrets that lie beneath the surface of this small town. Who’s in Deadloch Season2: Returning to Deadloch are Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama and Alicia Gardiner. Joining the cast for Season Two are Luke Hemsworth (The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, Thor: Love & Thunder), Steve Bisley (The Great Gatsby, Mystery Road: Origin, Mad Max), Shari Sebbens (The Sapphires, Top End Bub and The Office), acclaimed writer/director Jean Tong in their acting debut, Genevieve Morris (Bloom, No Activity), Byron Coll (Time Bandits, The Luminaries), Nikki Britton (How to Stay Married), Anthony J Sharpe (Joe v Carole, Human Error), Blake Pavey (Urvi Went to an All Girls School), Damien Garvey (The Survivors, The Artful Dodger), Ngali Shaw (The Twelve, Ladies in Black), Bev Killick (Savage River, Jones Family Christmas), Ling Cooper-Tang (Troppo, Apples Never Fall, Nautilus), Ursula Yovich (Top End Bub, Mystery Road), Syd Brisbane (High Country, Stateless), Ines English (Last Days of the Space Age, Ghosts Australia), Lennox Monaghan (Windcatcher), Reiden Corpus and Storm Murgha.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Stacy and her husband, Matt, recently celebrated 24 years of marriage, and they're sharing what actually keeps a long-term relationship alive. From career shifts and identity changes to grief, depression, parenting stress, and intimacy after 40, this is an honest look at what it takes to stay connected when life gets complicated. They talk about why genuinely liking each other matters more than simply “being in love,” how emotional intimacy shapes physical intimacy, and how ADHD, medication, hormones, and rejection sensitivity can affect connection over time. They explore choosing communication over resentment, growing together instead of apart, redefining masculinity within partnership, and why social media marriages rarely tell the full story. After 24 years, they've learned that love isn't about perfection — it's about choosing each other, especially in the hard seasons. Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Marsha Evans. Purpose of the Interview To highlight Marsha Evans’ work as a licensed professional counselor and founder of Willow Tree Counseling and Educational Center. To explore strategies for navigating life’s complex stages, breaking generational patterns, and building authentic relationships. To provide actionable insights for entrepreneurs and individuals on self-awareness, fear management, and relationship dynamics. Key Takeaways Understanding Complexity Life stages vary in complexity for each person—middle school for some, adulthood for others. Evans emphasizes listening and identifying what balance, peace, or contentment means for each individual. Early Awareness and Discipline At age 12, Evans set a goal to earn a scholarship, showing intentionality and discipline. Athletics taught her teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience, shaping her leadership style. Reading the Room Start by reading yourself—know your energy and intentions. Authenticity and confidence are key to building relationships and leveraging opportunities. Fear and Family Systems Fear often originates from family systems and generational patterns, not just personal experiences. Example: Parents’ limited worldview can project fear of the unknown onto children. Recognizing these patterns helps individuals break cycles and pursue their own paths. Generational Patterns & Healing Evans uses Genograms (visual family trees) to identify psychological and behavioral patterns across three generations. Acceptance of parents and family history is crucial for personal and professional growth. Rejecting parents = rejecting life and success; honor them while creating new narratives. Practical Steps for Change Build a relationship with yourself through solitude, meditation, yoga, and movement. Reduce stress (cortisol levels) to improve clarity and decision-making. Examine your money story—how family attitudes toward money shape your financial behavior. Relationships Romantic: Partners often mirror unresolved childhood issues; do inner work to avoid projecting. Professional: Maintain boundaries; emotional needs should not be placed on workplace relationships. Personal: Define roles clearly; avoid expecting friends to fill parental gaps. Consistency and Authenticity Success requires consistency with yourself before expecting it from others. Ask: Are your goals truly yours or influenced by societal expectations? Notable Quotes “I become a visitor in your world and start listening to your story.” “Reading the room starts with reading yourself.” “Fear is often not yours—it comes from your family system.” “You can’t reject your parents; when you reject your mother, you reject life.” “Consistency with yourself is key to achieving the results you desire.” “Your partner cannot carry the burden of your parents.” “People are divorced from themselves—I teach them how to get married to themselves.” #SHMS #STRAW #BESTSupport the show: https://www.steveharveyfm.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

40 years of marriage secrets revealed: Why you must be 'stupid' to stay married - and the brutal truths about money that destroy relationships. In this explosive episode of Konnected Minds, Dr. Charles Apoki shatters every romantic notion about marriage with raw wisdom earned from four decades with the same woman. From Ghana's studios, this Nigerian powerhouse delivers uncomfortable truths: intelligent people don't stay married long because they're too logical to apologize when their wife cries for doing something wrong. He exposes why 55% of divorces are initiated by women - not because of abuse or infidelity, but because men marry buttocks instead of brains, focusing on curves that expire rather than character that endures. The conversation takes a revolutionary turn as Dr. Apoki reveals his unconventional marriage strategy: leaving all his businesses to his wife and choosing peace over pride. Drawing from biblical parallels and medical expertise, he explains why women are physiologically designed to control ("your desire shall be to control your husband") and why men who can't provide become invisible even to their own children. His formula is stark: romance without finance is physical exercise and punishment. Critical revelations include: • The six-woman evolution theory - how your one wife becomes six different people over 40 years • Why women who contribute financially never spend frivolously vs. consumptive wives who drain resources • The mental image technique that prevented adultery despite global temptations • How fetching water for 10 camels (1,200 liters) reveals a woman's capacity for your vision • The apocalyptic productivity formula: G×E³×S⁴/C=P (Grace x Effort x Strategy/Sustainability/Savings/Systems divided by Constraints) • Why he sold plantain suckers for 1.25 million during COVID instead of waiting for miracles From cleaning toilets as a medical doctor to importing cars, from selling second-hand clothes to writing 40 books, Dr. Apoki demolishes the entitlement mentality plaguing modern marriages. He shares how he saved meals from preaching engagements to feed his children, worked multiple hospital shifts earning $400 monthly, and why he removes his car battery when not driving to ensure sustainability. The episode crescendos with his most provocative insight: successful men have more to lose in divorce because reputation matters more than money. His solution? Become strategically stupid - apologize even when she's wrong, leave the businesses to avoid daily friction, and understand that peace at 60 matters more than being right. This isn't marriage counseling - it's a masterclass in building wealth while navigating the psychological warfare of long-term partnership, where financial orgasms matter as much as physical ones, and where men who can't feed their families create children who hate their God. More than a year ago, someone recommended I read the memoir called How to Stay Married by Harrison Scott Key. It reminded them, in some ways, of my memoir from 2017 about a marriage crisis, called Indestructible. It took me more than a year to hit “play” on the audible file, but by the time I started it, I also finished in a matter of a few days. The speed at which I consumed the book, however, does not necessarily reflect how I felt about the story. There are certain elements that must be present in a narrative in order for it to feel complete. I detail these in my book, Write Your Story and teach the framework in my workshops by the same name. Some of these elements were, in my honest opinion, missing from this text.
