Working from 2LCF 3.1 and Romans 8:28, the lecture defends the confession's careful qualification that God decrees whatsoever comes to pass, yet is neither the author of sin nor in fellowship with it, while the freedom of second causes and the moral culpability of creatures are fully preserved.
