Most of us think the ultimate goal of the Christian faith is just "going to heaven" when we die, but what if there's something much greater? Discover the surprising, biblical truth about your eternal future and what actually happens when Jesus returns. In this powerful message, Elliott Warren dives deep into Romans 8 and 1 Corinthians 15 to uncover the "Great Christian Hope". If you've ever felt like this world is broken or you're groaning for something more, it's because you were meant for a glorious transformation. We aren't just meant to exist as spirits without bodies—or "ghosts" in the afterlife. Instead, we are promised a physical resurrection where we will be fully adopted as "sons of God". Learn why all of creation is waiting for this exact moment and how understanding this biblical reality can completely change how you view your present struggles. Stop looking forward to just an intermediate state in heaven, and start putting your hope in the day your mortal body is redeemed and fully transformed into the image of Christ! 00:00:00 - Introduction: Pentecost Sunday & The Return of Jesus 00:04:48 - The Great Christian Hope in Romans 8 & 1 Corinthians 15 00:11:26 - The Shocking Truth: We Are Not Fully "Sons of God" Yet 00:14:46 - Why All of Creation is Groaning and Waiting 00:18:29 - The Holy Spirit as the "First Fruits" and Our Guarantee 00:27:37 - The Heavenly Dwelling: Why We Don't Want to Be "Ghosts" 00:34:28 - Awaiting Our Full Adoption and Body Redemption 00:36:16 - Jesus' Teaching on the Resurrection in Luke 20 00:43:21 - Predestined to Bear the Image of Christ 00:48:46 - Finding Real Hope for Your Present Struggles #ChristianHope #EndTimes #Heaven #Resurrection #Romans8 #ElliottWarren #SonsOfGod #BibleStudy #ChristianFaith #JesusReturns #OvercomingHardships #SpiritualGrowth #Sermon #crossculturechurch If this message gave you a new perspective on your future, please SUBSCRIBE to our channel and SHARE this video with someone who needs unshakeable hope today! What if you could leave church today with zero doubt about where you stand with God?In part two of Hunger Pains, Pastor Doug Bell walks through Romans 8:28–30 and unpacks five powerful anchors — five things the enemy can never touch, even on your worst day. Foreknown. Predestined. Called. Justified. Glorified. These aren't things you're waiting on — they're already done. This message is for anyone who's ever wrestled with doubt, wondered if they were really saved, or felt like they had to earn their way to God. Justification isn't a pardon. It's a declaration. And once doubt loses its ammunition, nothing can hold you back. You can know. Not just hope. Know.

This podcast episode tackles the difficult and often controversial question: Are some people predestined to go to hell? Using Scripture, the discussion examines God's justice, mercy, and desire for salvation, while exploring what the Bible teaches about free will, repentance, and God drawing people to Himself. Listeners will hear a thoughtful look at verses often connected to predestination and eternal judgment. The episode also addresses differing theological views, including Calvinism, with grace and respect rather than division. While emphasizing that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, the conversation encourages believers to carefully study the Scriptures and remember that sincere, Bible-believing Christians may hold different perspectives on this challenging topic. Does God really pre-select some to believe while others can't be saved? Why is "predestined" in Romans and Ephesians, not elsewhere? Does suicide disqualify us from heaven? Can you explain "left behind" in Matthew 24 and Luke 17? You say we should want to be left behind? Why? Do believers need to worry about generational curses?

*Listen to the Show notes and podcast transcript with this multi-language player. Summary This conversation explores the progression of God's purpose for believers—from being predestined in Christ to ultimately being glorified and walking in the fullness of God. The speakers emphasize that the Kingdom of God requires a spiritual determination, a “violence of spirit,” that refuses to remain on a lower level of life and presses into the presence and purposes of God. Romans 8 is presented as a key passage revealing that God's work of salvation—from foreknowledge to glorification—is spoken of in past tense. Believers are called to be conformed to the image of Christ in spirit, soul, and body, not merely experiencing inward redemption but moving toward a full expression of Christ's life. The conversation highlights that this fulfillment is not meant to occur through isolated spiritual individuals but through a corporate Body of believers functioning together in love and unity. As the Body of Christ grows into maturity, faith becomes collective—where one member's strength supports another. Through this unity, the life of Christ can be manifested more fully. Ultimately, the speakers point to a time when the glory of God will be revealed through His people. As believers step into their identity as sons of God and walk in the fullness of Christ's life, creation itself will experience freedom through the revealing of God's children. Show Notes Pressing Into the Kingdom The Kingdom of God advances through spiritual determination and pursuit.Believers must shake themselves free from spiritual ruts and press into the presence of the Lord. The call is to rise to the level where Christ is and dwell in the Father's presence. Conformed to the Image of Christ Romans 8 reveals that believers are predestined to become like Christ. This transformation involves the whole person—spirit, soul, and body. The life of Christ is meant to be manifested through believers. A Corporate Fulfillment God's ultimate purpose is not fulfilled through one spiritual hero. The fulfillment of Scripture requires a family of believers walking together in love. The Body of Christ functions collectively, with shared faith and mutual support. The Atmosphere God Has Been Waiting For Love, humility, and service toward one another create the environment where God's purposes can unfold.Laying aside self allows the Body to move together into the fulfillment of God's promises. The Hope of His Coming The coming of Christ is not only future but is also being completed within His people.Persistent faith and prayer bring the manifestation of what God has spoken. Refusing a Lesser Level Believers are called to refuse living on a lower spiritual plane. The “violence of spirit” is a determination to walk in the level God intends. The Glory Revealed Through the Sons of God Romans 8 reveals that creation itself awaits the revealing of the sons of God.As believers step into their identity and glorification, creation experiences freedom. Key Quotes Mike: “Sometimes we just gotta shake ourselves loose in the spirit and go after things in the Lord.” Trisha: “We are predestined from Romans eight to be conformed to the image of Christ… spirit, soul, and body.” Roger: “It cannot be fulfilled except in a family of people who really have given their lives one to another, to love each other.” Ken: “We refuse to live on a lesser plane, a lesser level, but insist on being where God is bringing forth His people.” Roger: “Where we're lacking, one is lacking faith that's made up for by somebody else's faith that we can go on into the fullness of God.” Mike: “If we've been glorified, then creation is set free to come into the glory of the sons of God.” Scriptural References Matthew 11 (12)“The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”John 14 (2–3)“In My Father's house are many dwelling places… that where I am, there you may be also.”Romans 8 (28–30)Predestined, called, justified, and glorified.Romans 8 (19–21)Creation waits for the revealing of the sons of God.Malachi 4 (2)“You will go out leaping like calves released from the stall.”John 9 (1–3)The blind man healed so that the works of God might be displayed.Luke 18 (1–8)The persistent widow before the unjust judge.1 Thessalonians 5 (23)“May your spirit and soul and body be kept blameless.” Takeaway God's purpose for His people moves from predestination to glorification, forming a corporate Body that reflects the life of Christ. This fulfillment does not come through isolated individuals but through a unified people walking in love, faith, and determination. As believers press into the fullness of God and become conformed to Christ in spirit, soul, and body, the glory of God is revealed through them—and creation itself begins to experience freedom.

Ephesians 1:4-6. When considering predestination, we must ask the questions, who was chosen, where were they chosen and what have they been predestined to be? We then discover that these verses are not unsettling, but rather deeply confirm our blessed assurance in Christ.

In 2022, Alton told his wife he was going to win the lottery. She didn't believe him.Months later, he scanned his ticket and saw the words “Big Winner.” He had just won $1 million. In this episode of Lottery, Dreams & Fortune, Alton shares the full story — from the emotional low point earlier that year to the unexpected certainty he felt before the win. He explains the intuition, visualization, and “aura” he experienced, the intense verification process, what he did with the money, and why he believes he will win again. Was it mindset? Alignment? Predestined? Or simply chance? This is a grounded, honest conversation about belief, luck, and what happens before — and after — a life-changing moment. If you choose to play the lottery, always play responsibly and never spend more than you can afford to lose.

In this high-energy episode of Pocket Theology, the team dives into the "Battlegrounds" of the mind, specifically focusing on the language of Ephesians 1.The conversation challenges the way we often "under-complicate" or "over-complicate" the Bible by bringing our own modern, individualized frameworks to ancient words. Pastor Jason and the team unpack heavily "charged" theological terms like Blessed, Chosen, Predestined, and Holy, stripping away the dust of religious debate to find a vision of the Church that is far more communal and powerful than we usually imagine. In this episode, we explore:• The Translation Trap: Why the word "Praise" in Ephesians 1 might be a poor translation and how a single word can shift our entire view of worship.• The Individualism Problem: Why we instinctively read the word "you" as "me," and how reclaiming the "y'all" of the New Testament changes our security in Christ.• Redefining Righteousness: Shifting from the "ghost sheet" view of imputed righteousness to a vision of God's Covenantal Faithfulness.• Predestination Reframed: A conversation that moves beyond the Calvinist/Arminian divide to see the Church as God's chosen "Plan A" for the world.• Spiritual Dermatology: An honest look at the "maturity spots" and imperfections of the Church, and why we need the body to truly reflect the image of Jesus. As the team prepares for a new year and new additions to the family, they offer a "prophetic imagination" for 2026—calling the church to stop settling for "warm feelings toward Jesus" and start living into the radical, unified identity of the Body of Christ.Resources MentionedThe Ways of Our God by Charles ScobieGrasping God's Word by J. What are the spiritual blessings that we've been given in Christ? What does it mean to be "conformed" to the image of Christ in Romans 8? Do we need to agree with everything that Israel ever does out of fear of being cursed (Genesis 12)? What does it mean to be unequally yoked? Doesn't Genesis 9 teach that we will be punished for taking a life? How does that reconcile with our forgiveness in Christ? *previously aired

Allie tackles the explosive hell debate ignited by Kirk Cameron in which he wades into annihilationism, which is a belief that sinners in hell do not suffer eternal torment but will eventually be forever destroyed. She contrasts it with the traditional view of eternal conscious punishment, exploring Scripture's imagery of destruction, balancing God's characteristics of justice and mercy, and referring to key theologians, such as John MacArthur, John Stott, Edward Fudge, J.I. Packer, and many more. At the end of the day, sharing the gospel to all unbelievers is the most important because separation from God is horrific. Ephesians 2:10 CSBFor God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. Romans 8:29-30 NLTPredestined means predesigned, not predetermined! How do we steward well God's will?1) Believe - Gods plans for you are intentional and good! Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you. Jeremiah 1:5 MSG You are divinely designed to know and walk with God and to live a life of meaning not misery. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! Psalm 139:15-18 NLT God's plans for you are intentional, not accidental, and they're good! For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 NLT2) Trust - Trust God with every decision, direction and outcome. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 NLTThe call isn't to trust in God‘s plan, but rather to trust in God's character!I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6 NLTGod's plan is not a guess, it's a gift! The LORD will work out his plans for my life, for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Psalm 138:8 NLTDon't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 NLT Trust opens the door for God work out His will and purposes in our lives which are for our good. May he equip you with all you need for doing his will. Galatians 6:9 ESVImpatience has a tendency to weaken our persistence and overrule our willingness to follow God's process.
