Hi and welcome to the Riders Lounge Podcast, I'm Steve Sommerfeld your host for today's online chat with another of Freestyle Motocross' top riders and who has actually just picked up his 5th Brazilian FMX Championship, all the way from Sao Paolo in Brazil, it's Fred Kyrillos. While we still are in a holding pattern of no events, I'm stoked Fred was able to put the tools down and jump on for a chat to talk about the latest competition, how it felt to ride in the middle of Covid without a crowd and to stand on top of the box again, in a country with such a deep pool of talent in FMX. When I look at Brazil's Freestyle Motocross scene, it still feels a lot like when I was riding in Australia. There are a lot of guys, a lot of old guys, a lot of new guys always coming through and it's good to see they are still putting on a national competition every year, and even having some international flavour thrown into the mix! I'm sure as most of the followers of this podcast, you're already following FMX pretty closely and would know Fred, but if you might not have heard of the name, he's been in almost every single event going around at one point in time. From NIGHT of the JUMPs to X Games, Red Bull X-Fighters, Nitro World Games and anything in between. He's one of those guys who has learned a lot from the big events, and brought that knowledge back to Brazil to help push not just himself but everyone around him and to continue building the sport there. Lights, Camera, Action Weirdos!! Welcome to your first OCTOBER 2020 EPISODE!! It's our favorite month of the year and we're starting out with a bang. This week Lauren and Ashley are taking a deeper look at horror movies. On the surface it may seem like it's just a bunch of flesh and blood; but when you look a little closer there might be a whole new movie waiting for you. Lauren is going to start us off with SLASHERS. From Halloween to Scream; Slashers have been cautionary tales, they've empowered women, pissed off Christians, and they're totally freaking fun. Ashley is bringing us into the world of George Romero and talking about ZOMBIES. From Night of the Living Dead to 28 Days Later; Zombies have been allegories for society, they've mirrored our own fear of death and disease, and serve as a warning for the future if we don't see the error of our ways. This episode references several horror movies but doesn't give away major spoilers (That aren't well known) Psycho, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Candyman, Scream, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Shaun of the Dead, The Walking Dead Tune in Next week for MONSTERS and DEMONS

On May 26, 1996 WWF was presenting the eighth In Your House event. There was a powerful thunderstorm in the area but WWF always brings back up generators for their production trucks. Unfortunately the arena had no backup. Shortly after the first match airs, the feed goes out. WWF had to scramble. A plan for fans in attendance, a plan for those watching at home, and a plan for the wrestlers in the ring. The power returned and the pay per view was back on the air in time for the main event. To make up for this act of God, WWF scheduled In Your House Beware of Dog for the following Tuesday. Monday Night Raw aired in between as scheduled, and the affected the results of the make up show. These few days are one of the craziest stories in wrestling history.Beware of Dog 1 was held at the Florence Civic Center in Florence, South Carolina for 6,000 fans. Two nights later on May 28 Beware of Dog 2 took place at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina for 4,500 fans. To this day, this is the only WWF pay per view to ever take place in South Carolina. Maybe there's a reason for that.It wouldn't be The House Show without tangents. Tune in to this episode as the Trios champions discuss: wrestling themed food trucks, when is it okay to insult a woman, what is "attempted alienation of affection", and could Goldust happen today? Kevin surprises the other hosts by saying something nice about Diana Hart Smith. A fan heckles the wrestlers so much it not only breaks their concentration, but also ours 25 years later. Plus the always popular crickets make an appearance.Tonight's matches include:From Night 1:"Wildman" Marc Mero (with Sable) vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley(Power Outage)Shawn Michaels (WWF Champion, accompanied by Jose Lothario) vs. The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith (with Diana Hart Smith, Clarence Mason, and Owen Hart)From Night 2: Savio Vega vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (with Ted DiBiase) in a Caribbean Strap Match. Also, if Vega wins DiBiase will leave the WWF but if Austin wins Vega has to be DiBiase's chauffeur Vader (with Jim Cornette) vs. Yokozuna Goldust (WWF Intercontinental champion, with Marlena) vs. The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) in a Casket Match The Retro Network's own Kevin Decent (@MaskedLibrary) along with his two best friends “Sweet” Matty Treats (@MattyTreats) and Matt “the Educator of Excellence” are revisiting the WWF's In Your House pay per view events over the course of the worldwide quarantine. This trios team has been watching wrestling all their lives and debating the outcomes since high school. Join them each and every week and invite them in your house.Follow along with each podcast! We're coming to get you, Junkions! Actually, we're coming to give you a super-sized feast as Brian and Cargill feast on all six of George A. Romero's Dead films. From Night of to Survival of, their corpses will not rest until the entire franchise is covered. The guys discuss the various chronologies, the messages of each installment, how The Walking Dead only exists because of Romero, and why Robin Sparkles probably got devoured by ghouls. They also chat about the horrors of copyright loopholes and postulate that those guys at Pace were a little overzealous about their salsa.Feel free to gorge on this mega episode (just don't CHOKE ON IT!!!) and spread the infection as far as you can!
