Welcome to Episode Ten of the Talkin' Tynie Podcast. In this episode, Alastair and Euan first sit down to discuss Celtic's controversial trip (holiday) to Dubai following backlash and criticism from supporters, the media, pundits and the government. They give their opinions on the comments made by both Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell. They then move on to reflect on a disappointing defeat at Dens Park a few weeks prior where Heart of Midlothian were beaten 3-1 by Dundee. However, they do turn their attention to the most recent match, where Hearts beat Alloa 3-1 to create a seven point gap at the top of the Championship. What looks like to be one of the best bits of business that Hearts have done in the recent years is the arrival of Joe Savage who officially took over as Sporting Director in early January and has had a very positive start, despite only being in the job a couple of weeks. The boys discuss a number of decisions that have been made by himself, the club and Robbie Neilson with specific focus on Michael Smith's new contract, the signing of Gary Mackay-Steven and the departure of Olly Lee. Other areas such as future transfer signings and the importance of tying Andy Irving, Josh Ginnelly and Stephen Kingsley are also highlighted in this episode. As always, feel free to give us an honest rating if applicable on your platform of choice as we always seek to improve our content.Follow us on Twitter - @TalkinTynie where you can participate in our Goal of the Month / Player of the Month polls, participate in debates and to make sure that you're updated with all things Heart of Midlothian. We hope you enjoy!Â

Jack Donnelly is joined by Struan Garvie, SeĂ¡n McGill and Cameron Wanstall to discuss what's been a hectic weekend in Scottish football, while also chatting about the third round of the FA Cup. This week's Big Question considers which footballers would be best fit for television after Mark Wright turned out for Crawley on Saturday - shouts for Roy Keane having his own programme and Gary Mackay-Steven starring in a revival of Splash! make for some good chat. There's some extensive coverage of Scottish football from this weekend, with both Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup action to discuss. The boys compare their picks for who finishes in sixth out of Dundee United, Kilmarnock, St. MIrren and St. Johnstone, before chatting about Livingston's impressive form and Rangers' lead-extending win over Aberdeen. There's PLENTY of chat about the news coming from Celtic today, which has confirmed that 13 first team players and both Neil Lennon and John Kennedy are having to self-isolate ahead of their match against Hibernian. There's also a big chat about league reconstruction and wider appreciation for Highland League and Lowland League sides, following impressive showings from both Kelty Hearts and Bonnyrigg Rose in the Scottish Cup. The boys also chat about whether or not full FA Cup weekends are any good, while also highlighting what makes the earlier rounds of the competition so exciting. There's a bit of a Scottish focus as Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay's performances are highlighted because, if you didn't know, Scotland are going to the Euros this summer! Finally, the boys wrap up the biggest European news in Last Ditch Challenge, with Schalke actually winning a game of football, Cristiano Ronaldo becoming the joint-top goalscorer of all time and the title race in Italy remaining very interesting.

Join us on SportsHosts and be entered in our monthly NYCFC merch giveaway: http://thenycfcnation.com/sportshostsapp Game recap provided by MLS Soccer  Toronto FC got a late penalty kick against the run of play, and Alejandro Pozuelo converted to snap New York City FC's six-game unbeaten streak, winning 1-0 at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday night. NYCFC dominated the first half with 10 shots to TFC's three, including the best chances of the half, but Alex Bono came through with some timely saves to keep the teams level going into the locker room. Gary Mackay-Steven proved a particular threat in the first half, going just wide on a 26th-minute shot, and then setting up Alexander Ring for a 42nd-minute attempt that Bono was able to wrap up. The game continued similarly in the second half, with NYCFC looking the stronger side and getting the better chances. As in the first half, however, neither team was able to break through. Both teams brought on impact subs late, including Heber, whose 65th-minute shot on goal was the most dangerous chance of the half for the hosts. TFC had an enticing 82nd-minute chance on a Pozuelo free kick, which Omar Gonzalez headed just wide of target. The match took a sober turn in the 84th minute when Heber went down with an apparent knee injury and had to be stretchered off the field. Then, just shortly after play resumed, subs involved themselves in the storyline, as Justin Morrow fired a shot that pinged off Nicolas Acevedo's outstretched arm. That led to the penalty shout, which Pozuelo made good on. At the final whistle, NYCFC took all three points in Foxborough. Gary is brilliantly candid on life as a footballer outside of the game with brilliant stories about times spent with teammates and of course there’s a certain story involving a river in there as well...

We make our first appearance of 2019 and it's our longest edition ever. I leave it you to decide if this is a good thing.... Lesley spent the last week in London and we begin by looking at her appearance on the BBC's Politics Live. I'm giving no secrets away by revealing in advance that she didn't enjoy it. However, in stark contrast to this, Lesley spent Friday speaking and chairing sessions at "Think Anew, Act Anew", an emergency Convention on the need for a second EU referendum. The Convention was designed to draw on new voices from within and outside Parliament, with a focus on fresh thinking, and featured high profile speakers such as Caroline Lucas, Joanna Cherry, James O’Brien, and Fintan O'Toole. The big question is, should the SNP get drawn into this type of cross-party cooperation and possibly lose focus on the prize of Scottish independence? John Bercow, the Speaker of the House of Commons, broke with Parliamentary convention earlier this week by allowing an amendment of a government business motion which lead to a defeat for the executive. He was brutally attacked for this "unconstitutional" behaviour in the Tory press. I try and give a wee bit of context. In addition to all this there's chats about Andy Murray, Winston Churchill, Gary Lineker and Gary Mackay-Steven.
Paul and Cameron continue looking ahead to the 2018 NFL and move on to preview the NFC and AFC South, perhaps the two hardest Divisions to predict. We also speak to top Scottish talent David Ojabo and Aberdeen winger Gary Mackay-Steven. We give a further update on our week 1 live event as well as discussing all the latest news including, Hard Knocks episode 3 and OBJ's new contract. Make sure you follow us on twitter - @ScotlandNFL or Facebook - www.facebook.com/ScotlandNFL/ and share your thoughts on this episode.Â
The pod returns to look back at the big stories of the (three-week) summer break, José Mourinho moaning, Gerrard and Lampard playing the same role once again and Gary Mackay-Steven’s pre-match playlist
