Join us as Pastor Rich kicks off our next series, Who Are You?
In Week 1 of our EXODUS series, Pastor Josh explores what it means to experience freedom from doubt through the life of Moses. Even one of the greatest leaders in Scripture wrestled with questions many of us still ask today: “Who am I?” “Who are You, God?” and “What if I fail?” This encouraging message reminds us that doubt may visit every believer, but it doesn't have to define us. God is not intimidated by our questions, insecurities, or fears. Instead, He meets us in them and calls us forward in faith. As we begin this journey through Exodus, discover how God's calling is always greater than our insecurity and how trusting Him can lead us into freedom, purpose, and deeper faith. WHO AM I? In Who Are You (S1 E16 of Buffy), Faith makes a desperate bid to survive, devastating Buffy, in the second of two episodes that eventually lead to her visiting Los Angeles–and Angel. Along with the recap of Who Are You, this podcast episode focuses on: (1) is Faith both protagonist and antagonist? (2) weaving the season arc (about Adam) seamlessly into the Faith/Buffy main plot; (3) external obstacles that show Faith’s internal conflict; and (4) how the body switching metaphor conveys the theme, moves the story, and prompts character growth. Galatians 3:1-18: Beginning in the Spirit, Perfected in the Flesh? (Who Are You?) taught by Pastor Dave Rolph on 05-03-2026.
In Christ Jesus, we are not on a journey of self-improvement or “identity enhancement,” but of complete transformation. This message explores what it means to be a new creation as we continue asking the question, “Who Are You?”
Show Notes: Join us as actor Larry Hyatt discusses The Tin Woman, a play based on a true story about Joy, a heart transplant recipient struggling with her second chance who seeks closure from her donor's grieving parents. The play powerfully explores themes of grief, acceptance, second chances, and connection, highlighting organ donation and recovery. Our Mental Health Moment asks "Who Are You?" to explore ways to hone in on this question, developing your own honest answer. Then, we honor donor hero Carl Bourque.
Who Are You? #RTTBROS #NightlightYou Are Not Your Diagnosis(On identity and mental health, drawing on Tim Clinton and the Soul Care Bible's core message)You Are Not Your Diagnosis "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:38-39I want to talk to you tonight about something that I see happen to people, good people, people of faith, people I care about deeply. They receive a diagnosis. Depression. Anxiety disorder. PTSD. Bipolar disorder. And slowly, almost without realizing it, that diagnosis becomes their identity. They stop being themselves and start being their condition.Tim Clinton, who served as the executive editor of the Soul Care Bible and as president of the American Association of Christian Counselors, has built much of his life's work around one central conviction: that God cares for the whole person, and that no matter what someone is walking through, the message of the gospel is that their identity is secure in Christ. Now, I want to be careful here, because I'm not saying diagnoses aren't real. I've been a chaplain long enough to know they are very real. I'm not suggesting anyone stop taking their medication or avoid professional help. Please don't hear that. What I am saying is something different.Your diagnosis describes something you are experiencing. It does not define who you are.You are a child of God. You are someone Jesus thought was worth dying for. You are someone the Holy Spirit has taken up residence in, if you know Christ. And Paul's magnificent declaration in Romans 8 doesn't have a footnote that says "except for people with mental health struggles." Nothing, absolutely nothing, separates you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.I'm too soon old and too late smart, but one of the things I've come to believe with everything in me is this: the enemy loves nothing more than to take your hardest season and convince you it's your permanent address. It isn't. You are passing through. And the One who walks with you through it knows every step of the path, because history is just HIS story, and your chapter is not finished yet.You are not your diagnosis. You are His.Let's pray: Father, speak identity over the weary hearts listening tonight. Remind us that our worth was settled at the cross, not in a doctor's office. You love us completely, in our struggles and through them. In Jesus' name, Amen.#Identity #MentalHealth #SoulCare #YouAreHis #Faith #ChristianLiving #RTTBROS #NightlightBe sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe, it helps get the word out.https://linktr.ee/rttbros
Galatians 2:11-21: Is Jesus Enough? (Who Are You?) taught by Associate Pastor Justin Butorac on 04-26-26.
If someone were to ask, “Who are you?” how would you respond? When identity is rooted in anything other than Christ, it becomes unstable, exhausting, and ultimately misleading. This opening message in the series “Who Are You?” begins a journey of discovery, exploring what it means to find our true identity in Jesus.

Welcome to Sylvan Way and thanks for joining us as we worship Jesus! Who Are You in Christ? | Ephesians 1:1–2 Sermon on Christian Identity Who are you, really? In a world that tells you to build your identity through success, performance, status, and approval, Ephesians points us in a completely different direction. In Ephesians 1:1–2, Paul reminds believers that identity precedes activity. Before he tells us how to live, he reminds us who we are in Christ. In this message, we look at three powerful words from Paul's opening: apostle, saints, and faithful in Christ. This sermon will help you see: You are called, not self-made You are set apart, not common You are faithful in Christ, not sustained by self-effort If you have ever struggled with failure, shame, purpose, or trying to prove yourself, this message is for you. Your identity is not built on what you do for God, but on what God has done for you in Christ. Big Idea: Who you are in Christ defines how you live, not the other way around. Scripture: Ephesians 1:1–2 If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs to be reminded who they are in Christ. Where we seek to Love God, Love Others, and Live on Mission. We are a church that strives to live fully for Jesus, while sharing His story with others. Humbly Moses says, “Who am I that I should do this?” This is a question we all must ask. I know God has called me, I know what He has called me to do, but who am I? God's promise to Moses is, “I WILL BE WITH YOU.” In 75 years of ministry, God has always been with me, there has never been a time when I've not been conscious of His Presence, His Power, His Leading. Moses continues, “When I come to the children of Israel and tell them that the God of their fathers has sent me, they will want to know, what is Your Name? What shall I say? Who ARE You?” God replies, “I AM that I AM – Ehyeh asher Ehyeh.” I AM THAT I AM is the English translation, and I've always been intrigued by it. I AM is EXISTENCE. God always has been, in the past, and always will be – in the future! Not created. He EXISTED before the very beginning of time. We cannot imagine it, but God has always been and always will be! He says to Moses, “Tell them, I AM, Ehyeh, has sent you.” God's Name in Hebrew can equally be translated as ‘I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE', as Biblical Hebrew has no future tense, instead a continuous present. I am whoever I want to be, whatever I want to be, whenever I want to be. Whatever I want and say, I do. I am EVERYTHING. I am EVERYWHERE. Hence the fact that in Exodus 3, God is in the burning bush! And speaks from the fire! But to Elijah God does not speak from the wind, earthquake or fire – but in a still small voice.
Dr. Chuck Colson preaches on John 21 in his sermon “Who Are You?”
Matt just turned 49, and instead of doing a normal birthday playlist, we turned it into a rule: only songs from the years he hit perfect-square ages. That one idea creates a timeline you can actually hear, jumping from 1978 to 1981 to 1986, then into 1993, 2002, and 2013, with two tracks per year and a lot of life packed in between. We talk through why each pick makes the cut and what it carries with it. Kenny Rogers' “The Gambler” becomes a family story about risk, immigration, and gratitude. The Who's “Who Are You” turns into a birthday question that never stops being useful, while Rush's “Tom Sawyer” and Journey's “Don't Stop Believin'” bring the pure classic rock adrenaline. Later, Paul Simon and Van Halen hit the sweet spot of memory and ambition, then Tony! Toni! Tone! and Prince add sharp lessons about money, attention, and the weirdly perfect connections you only notice looking backward. The mix gets heavier and more honest too. We get into Bruce Springsteen's “The Rising” and its 9/11-era weight, and Matt shares the personal story behind Eminem's “Without Me” and how a song can show up at the exact moment you need it. We close with Macklemore's “Can't Hold Us” tied to a daughter's dance solo, and Fun.'s “Carry On” as a message for anyone in a long season of parenting, grief, or rebuilding.https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/matt-2026-birthday-mix/pl.u-MzBDtNqbr81. The Color of Money | Transformative Conversations for Wealth Building
Building a business is one thing. Building a life that actually means something is another. In this episode, we pause to reflect on a powerful set of questions from Gary Keller that challenge us to think deeper about what we're really building and why. We share what each of us is working toward right now—from scaling brokerages and reimagining real estate team models to building investment opportunities and expanding access to capital for the next generation of developers.Along the way, we talk about leadership, the realities of running a brokerage, and the hard truth that you can't want success for someone more than they want it for themselves. We explore the shift from chasing production to creating wealth, from doing everything ourselves to building systems and environments where others can succeed. Most importantly, we wrestle with the bigger questions: Who are we becoming? What actually motivates us? And what kind of impact do we want to leave behind? We Talk About:[00:00] Introduction[01:05] What Juila is Building[06:03] What Daniel is Building[13:54] What Emerick is Building[18:00] Creating Reciprocal Value in Business[21:16] What Bo is Building[25:49] How Do You Bring Meaning to Your Life? What if the most important chapter of your life hasn't been written yet?In this rare in-person conversation, Patricia Sands opens up about grief, reinvention, aging, creativity, and the unexpected power of starting late.Patricia published her first novel at 65. Today, at 80, she has written 13 books — many set in France, a country she fell in love with at 21 while backpacking with friends. But before the novels, there was loss. Widowed at 43. Two sons. A life rewritten overnight. We explore how grief shaped her storytelling, why community saved her creative life, how AI unexpectedly helped her research historical fiction, and what it really means to write from intuition. This is a conversation about dignity, aging, reinvention, and why it's never too late to become who you are.A special shout out to my co-host Valentin Randon. You think they're winning? They're the furthest from themselves a human being can get. Dr. Christian Gonzalez addresses what so many are feeling right now—the shock, the grief, the helplessness that comes from seeing the depths of human darkness exposed in the Epstein files. This isn't a news breakdown. This is a spiritual reckoning. The question isn't what to do about them. The question is: who are you choosing to be in relation to what you've experienced? In this episode, Dr. G reveals: • Why the people who hurt children are already living in their own personal hell—no external justice needed • The "Conversations with God" principle that reframes all suffering as an opportunity to remember who you are • How holding onto anger, helplessness, and fear burns a hole in your own being—and what to do instead This episode is raw, emotional, and necessary. In this episode of Reading With Your Kids, we welcome author-illustrator Claire Keane to talk about her deeply personal new picture book, "Who Are You?" Claire shares how the idea began not with a character, but with a question—quite literally. After making a video reel to "explain" who she was as an artist and as the daughter and granddaughter of famous cartoonists, she woke up one morning hearing a loud inner voice ask, "Who are you?" That moment sent her on a creative and emotional journey. Claire describes spending a year and a half stuck on an idea involving a girl in a boat—an image that just wasn't true to her own experience. She couldn't draw it, couldn't feel it, and knew something was off. Her breakthrough came on a trip to Malibu, when she let go of the "perfect" concept and simply started sketching a little tree, a girl in its branches, and memories from her Southern California childhood—oak trees, dry canyons, Debbie Gibson, her basset hound. Suddenly, the book flowed. "Who Are You?" became a kind of love letter to the small moments that shape us. Claire and Jed talk about memory, identity, gratitude, and why lived experiences—our senses, our stories—can never be replaced by AI, even if that urgency helped push the book into the world. Later in the episode, Jed chats with Allison Butler, author-illustrator of "In the Kelp Forest." Allison talks about the beauty and fragility of kelp forests, her unique collage-style art using real kelp, and how her book helps kids fall in love with ocean life while gently learning about courage and the environment.
