In ‘Resurrection Roots, Servant Life’. Rick explores how Jesus' death and resurrection reshape what it means to live a life of purpose, significance, and service. Rooted in Mark 9:30–37, he teaches that a true Christian life is built on the miraculous foundation of resurrection and expressed through humble servanthood. The resurrection isn't just a belief—it's the root of the Christian life. And the fruit of that life is servant-hearted living. Rather than striving for worldly greatness, Jesus calls us to follow him in humility, service, and supernatural hope. The post Rick Robertson: Resurrection roots, servant life first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

Peter Crouch joins Rio and Joel to discuss Liverpool's Premier League title win after they beat Spurs at Anfield. According to Rio, Crouchy gives the BEST explanation of why Liverpool supporters are responding differently to the possibility of Trent Alexander Arnold leaving the club compared to Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk and Rio wonders whether the celebrations with supporters might make him want to stay.Crouchy gives his opinion on whether Manchester United should sign Liam Delap or Victor Osimhen and says why Alexander Isak could make the same impact as Virgil Van Dijk if he prioritises a move to Liverpool in the summer. The former Englands striker admits he wouldn't enjoy playing in today's football because of the lack of service for number 9s so Joel asks him to pick 4 current midfielders to feed him in a dream lineup.Rio and Crouchy reminisce about days with England together, the training drill that made players most nervous and why Steven Gerrard is held in the highest regard by his former Liverpool team mate. 25 juni 2020. This means more.
Tim Hughes of Jubilee Church Wirral reflects on spiritual experiences where God feels tangibly present, using a U2 concert moment as an opening illustration. He suggests that all humans long for experiences beyond the material, pointing to the existence of God, specifically the God of the Bible. For you, that might not be U2 playing Where the Streets Have No Name, but it’s likely to be something. Tim talks about how how God meets Moses and Elijah on Mount Sinai and Peter, James, and John on Mount Hermon, revealing his divine glory. All three stories highlight humanity's longing for God, the ways God chooses to reveal Himself, and the ultimate fulfilment of that longing in Jesus Christ. Tim encourages us to seek God's presence above all else, listen to Him, and trust His plans. The post Tim Hughes: When God walks in the room first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

Dave Frodsham of Jubilee Church Wirral on why the resurrection of Jesus demands a personal decision for us today. Dave reiterates the fact that we must decide what we believe about Jesus – is he Lord, liar, or a lunatic? He emphasises that there is strong historical evidence for Jesus' life, death, and resurrection — more reliable than many accepted historical records. If Jesus really rose from the dead, it validates his claims and demands a response. If you want to trust Jesus, salvation isn't about having everything together—it starts with confession, belief, and a decision. The post Dave Frodsham: What the resurrection means for us today first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

This week we are delving into the brief period when Britain was a republic, and when anything seemed possible...At least it did to Gerrard Winstanley, a failed businessman who took the promise of more equality to the extreme when he founded a commune in Surrey with the belief that God had told him to prove to the people of England that private property was against the teachings of Jesus.Regardless of if this was true or not, the local landowners were not about to let Gerrard potentially prove that communal living without any attempt to profit off your fellow man could work, so they wrote to the new republic government and soon the head of the army became involved. So join us for a story of naive optimism in the face of state power and vested interests as we see if anyone in the country actually dug the Diggers.Guest Host: Pam Loetterle Hosted on Acast. Andrew Chu reflects on the trial of Jesus from Mark 14:43 to Mark 15:20, breaking it into four parts to explore how Jesus' identity remains unshaken, even as everything is stripped away from Him—status, followers, reputation, and support.. Andrew talks about how we often talk about our families or our jobs when we first introduce ourselves to people and talk about who we are. But what happens when these things are taken away? Are we still the same person? During the week leading to His crucifixion, Jesus loses everything—respect, voice, position, friends. Yet he remains fully Himself: Rabbi, Prophet, King, and Friend. His identity is not built on what others say or take from Him – and because He held onto who He was, we are now free to find who we are in Him. The post Andrew Chu: Who is Jesus when everything is taken away? first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

In ‘A different type of king’, Dave looks at Mark 11: 1-26, when Jesus enters Jerusalem. Jesus enters Jerusalem not on a war horse, but on a young donkey, fulfilling the prophecy in Zechariah 9:9 (Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.) Jesus is powerful, yet humble, fully God but also fully obedient. Unlike arrogant leaders or self-important athletes, Jesus doesn't seek to impress with status—he serves and submits to the Father. Dave challenges us to look at how we see Jesus and how He sees us.• Do we serve Him as King or expect Him to serve our desires?• Do we offer genuine worship or hollow routine?• Jesus seeks authentic hearts, not religious appearance. Jesus is not the king we expect, but the king we need — humble, holy, powerful, and patient. Palm Sunday invites us to see Him clearly and offer not shallow praise, but surrendered hearts. The post Dave Frodsham: A different type of king first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.

I saw Zanarin wince pointedly at my voice, which was harsh and graveled thanks to my surviving the sessiva when it swept through Lohaiso during my prelacy there. It mostly did not bother me, except when someone like Zanarin made sure it did."Good afternoon, Celehar,” said Vernezar. “I apologize for dragging you down here, not nearly as elegant as what you were used to at the Untheileneise Court, I'm sure - but this really isn't a matter for the Ulistheileian.”We'd love your feedback - and if you listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, hit the follow button today!**Listen to all of our podcasts here - you can also watch on YouTube, or say to your smart speaker "Play How Do You Say That?!"About our guest: Liam Gerrard is a multi-award-winning actor, commercial voiceover, audiobook narrator and producer known as “The Voiceover Chap!” In 2024 he was nominated for an AUDIE award in L.A. for an audiobook he transcribed, edited, narrated and published through his publishing company; Raconteurs Audio. DID HITLER—CODE NAME “GREY WOLF”—REALLY DIE IN 1945? In a riveting scenario that has never been fully investigated until now, international journalist Gerrard Williams and military historian Simon Dunstan make a powerful case for the Führers escape to a remote enclave in Argentina-along with other key Nazis—where he is believed to have lived comfortably until 1962. Following years of meticulous research, the authors reconstruct the dramatic plot-including astonishing evidence and compelling testimony, some only recently declassified. Impossible to put down, Grey Wolf unravels an extraordinary story that flies in the face of history.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/houseofmysteryradio. Gerrard Williams is an esteemed international journalist and Historian with a career span of over thirty years. His resume includes Duty Editor for Reuters, as well as the BBC and Sky News. Williams' groundbreaking reporting has taken him to the front lines of the fall of the Soviet Union, the Rwandan Genocide, the 2004 tsunami in Thailand and the US occupation of Iraq among many other international stories. Ten years ago, while reporting in Argentina, Williams came across evidence in a local archive that changed the way he looked at historical reporting. That lead was to the existence of Nazi war criminals, including Adolf Hitler, using clandestine international routes to flee defeated Germany for safe haven in Argentina and other South American countries. The outcome of William's mission through these archives, eyewitness reports, and local history was the book, Grey Wolf: The Escape of Adolf Hitler. Despite the rigour in his journalism and adherence to facts and evidence, the international community has largely ignored Williams. Today, with the release of the classified FBI and OSS documents, his work is finally getting the credit and respect it deserves.Williams has taken over a dozen trips to Argentina and visited locations like Hotel Eden, Bariloche, and the Inalco House years before the FBI files pointed squarely to them. Williams believes that where he lacked the finances and technology to dig deep enough, this team won't be held back in the same way. Despite the newly released intelligence material, Williams understands how sensitive the subject is to discuss and unfathomable it is to comprehend, but stands by his work and welcomes a spirited debated revolving around the facts. From a death claims standpoint, Steven Rambam believes Williams is an invaluable asset to the team. Williams has spent over a decade laser focused on the facts surrounding this investigation and has access to a legion of declassified information, buried contemporaneous BBC reports, and knows everything about the Nazi movements, motives, and capabilities of the time. As a journalist, his devotion to facts provides the precise framework that Rambam demands to make this investigation the most in-depth and revealing the world has ever seen.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/houseofmysteryradio. Rio, Joel and Ste are reunited to look back at Ruben Amorim's first game in charge of Manchester United to discuss whether the players like Marcus Rashford are equipped to deal with the Portuguese's dramatic tactical shift and identify those players who could benefit most from it. They look at the concerning statistics related to United's goalscoring which pre-dates even Erik Ten Hag and pick their favoured front three to fit into Amorim's 3-4-3. Ste then switches attention to the title race focusing on a ‘concerning' win for United's rivals Liverpool, the developing contract scenario between the club and Salah before discussing Arsenal's realistic title hopes when they sit 9 points behind the leaders.Subscribe: http://bit.ly/15QO9WE Hosted on Acast.
