The squad investigates Eagles' Fred Johnson for supposedly kicking out his pregnant girl to "fight demons" on dating apps just weeks before her due date. We're diving into a heated Homie Helpline to help Louis handle "Uncle Rick," a passive-aggressive relative making "veiled racism" comments during a World Cup barbecue. The Petty Police defend Bad Bunny after hundreds of salty FCC complaints called his Super Bowl performance "demonic" and "disrespectful" for being in Spanish. Don't You Know I'm Local, so we are checking the newly released FBI files that describe aliens as being between three and a half to four feet tall. Finally, we recap the Lakers' elimination by OKC and the bizarre moment Donald Trump "blew the cover" of Raiders QB Fernando Mendoza by claiming he's a "big fan". [Edited by @iamdyre
Glory days with his brother Dean on the family property in Sydney’s south roaring around on home made dirt karts and fold up bikes. How a trip to see legends like Roger De Coster at Oran Park in the early 1970’s left a lasting impression. Why his Dad wasn’t keen to begin with and where he gets his trademark commitment and determination. The much loved officials (who were part of the fabric of the sport) that quietly turned a blind eye to allow him to compete in his teens. And the bike that really started the journey on his rise to Mr Motocross. Befriending and battling the late Anthony Gunter or ‘Grunt’ as they called him. Plus the marketing genius of Vincent Tesoriero at Forcefield - together they helped to change perceptions ushering in a professional era. („Lass mal schauen“, „Ich bin nicht bereit“, „Ich will nichts Festes“, „Melde mich“ …) Und: Was würdest du heute anders machen? ```

The episode blends outrage, personal takes, and queer humor while exploring how money, politics, and tech are shaping safety and visibility for LGBTQ+ people today.

Coach Tory and Coach Don record Everything Fast Pitch episode 417 via Zoom from Canada, previewing segments and thanking Patreon supporters. They note the NCAA's Division I softball transfer portal window will open the Monday after the Women's College World Series and last 15 days, aiming to tighten timing and discuss how the portal changes recruiting without eliminating opportunities, especially noting elite freshmen still impact top programs. City of the Week is Salt Lake City, and the equipment tip promotes Square Cuts training discs. Listener Alan asks whether the portal is “ruining recruiting,” prompting discussion of shifting opportunities and roster voids. The lead-off segment critiques negative fans and “super fans,” especially those who harass opponents. The cleanup segment condemns bashing underpaid school-ball coaches and emphasizes their developmental value. The coaching tip urges better situational decision-making focused on securing outs and winning games.Support the show

RUNDOWN Mitch and Scott bounce from absurd internet rabbit holes to surprisingly emotional territory, riffing on viral "energize your butthole" content before landing on AI-generated nostalgia videos that hit harder than expected. The segment blends humor with genuine reflection, as they react to how eerily real—and moving—these digital reunions of past and present selves have become. Mitch pushes back on the growing pile-on against Mariners manager Dan Wilson, arguing the outrage is wildly disproportionate to his actual impact. While acknowledging questionable in-game decisions, the real issue is clear: Seattle's top hitters aren't producing—and fans would rather scapegoat the manager than blame the stars they love. The Mariners show real offensive signs in a series win over Texas, highlighted by better at-bats, key contributions from role players, and a confidence-boosting early homer from Rob Refsnyder. The crew also dives into Julio Rodríguez's slow-burn start, Luke Raley's hot streak, and the critical importance of Andrés Muñoz stabilizing the bullpen as Seattle tries to grind out close games. Danny and Mitch break down the backlash from CBS's shaky Masters broadcast and the rare cross-network shots taken by NBC's Kevin Kisner. The conversation pivots into a deeper, more uncomfortable space—media ethics—using the Diana Russini–Mike Vrabel situation to expose the blurry lines between access, relationships, and credibility in modern sports journalism. John Gerardi and Jonathan Keller break down California's newest wave of abortion bills, including AB 2540, which would require community college health centers to provide the abortion pill. They share the moving testimony of Leandra Wells, a young staffer with California Family Council, who details her experience facing an unplanned pregnancy in college. The episode also explores the politics behind AB 2531, the expansion of abortion grants for veterans, and concludes with a critical discussion of AB 1973's plan to let non-doctors perform second and third trimester abortions.
In this episode, Travis and his producer Eric break down a viral clip featuring Codie Sanchez and a critic questioning her business model. What starts as a lighthearted conversation quickly turns into a deeper discussion about attention, credibility, and the growing trend of creators tearing others down online. Travis shares his perspective on why buying “boring businesses” is a powerful path to wealth, and why attacking others—especially when you're doing the same thing—can ultimately hurt your brand more than help it. On this episode we talk about: Why buying small “boring” businesses can be more lucrative than traditional careers The real reason critics attack successful creators online How attention (positive or negative) fuels growth and opportunity The dangers of discrediting others while promoting similar ideas When criticism crosses the line into unnecessary negativity Top 3 Takeaways Attention is the foundation of business—once you have it, you can monetize it. Tearing others down—especially when you're in the same space—weakens your own credibility. You don't need to praise everyone, but you also don't need to publicly attack them to succeed. Notable Quotes "You don't have to tear others down in order to build yourself up." "If nobody knows who you are, you'll never be able to do business with anybody." "It's strange behavior to attack someone who's doing the exact same thing you're doing." Send a textOn this episode of the Concrete Genius Podcast, Sauce Mackenzie dives into a real conversation about manhood, respect, and cultural accountability.First, Sauce speaks directly to men about the way many treat women online. He breaks down why some men struggle to give women grace and understanding—especially when it comes to the emotional, physical, and hormonal realities women deal with every day. From pregnancy and postpartum to everyday pressures, Sauce explains why empathy and maturity are essential for healthy relationships. The conversation also turns toward the dynamic between Black men and Black women, including a controversial debate about hair preferences and the cultural sensitivities around it. Sauce opens the floor for dialogue about communication, respect, and how Black men and women can better understand each other instead of attacking each other online. In the second half of the episode, Sauce addresses the recent 50 Cent vs T.I. discourse and calls out the growing trend of people disrespecting 50 Cent's deceased mother during the beef. Sauce explains why bringing someone's late mother into a rap battle crosses a moral line and reflects a deeper problem within hip-hop culture. This episode is raw, passionate, and focused on one message:Respect matters — whether we're talking about women, family, or the culture.

BIOCIDES ARE COMING FOR YOU. Find out what they are, what the benefits and harms they have, and what we can do to control their use in consumer products. This was a fascinating, wide-ranging discussion on the use of agents that can affect the human/animal microbiome and environmental microbes, and the problems with trying to regulate them (in the UK at least). Hope you enjoy it. Bios: Natalie Bennett has been a Green Party representative in the UK House of Lords for six years, after being leader of the England & Wales Party from 2012-2016. Her first degree - from the University of Sydney - was in agricultural science, and she can get very geeky about soils; she got tardigrades into Hansard (the parliamentary record) for the first time ever in her maiden speech. Her Consumer Products (Control of Biocides) Bill was introduced to the House in January 2025. Graphic design has been taking a beating online, from AI panic and low-paying job posts to burnout culture and social media negativity. In this episode, Nick Longo pushes back on the noise and stands up for the design industry with clarity, optimism, and long-game thinking.Rather than denying the real challenges designers face, this conversation reframes them through a more honest lens. Nick breaks down why graphic design is still a viable and meaningful career, how AI and easy design tools are changing the work without replacing designers, and why the job market feels broken at the execution level but not at the leadership level. He also addresses client misconceptions, revision culture, designfluencers, and burnout, while offering a more grounded way to think about longevity, value, and growth in a creative career. This episode is about separating signal from noise, reclaiming pride in the profession, and reminding designers that the industry isn't collapsing, it's evolving. If you've ever questioned your career choice after scrolling social media, this one's for you.
