God is absolutely holy, but He is also merciful and gracious. He told Moses so. In His mercy He provided a way of salvation.

In this episode, hosts, Mike, Shauna, and Jeremy are joined by our special guest - Brad Hambrick. To discuss his booklet, God's Attributes. They discuss how a proper understanding of God is vital. However, many times what we observe from our own experiences (especially when they are difficult and painful) can affect the shape of that understanding. How do we know whether we have a true, balanced view of God? This study looks at sixteen attributes of God, grouped under the headings of his love, essence, wisdom, and power, to help challenge your understanding. It goes on to challenge how well you rest in each attribute (have faith and comfort in it) and emulate it in the struggles and experiences of your own life. So learn, through your struggles, about the One who gives those struggles meaning.

In this episode we have @Urban_apologetics joining us from Arizona! We get a chance to speak to him about Apologetics, God's Attributes, and even get into speaking about the Trinity. Great conversation with him about God's nature. Although we just scratched the surface on this topic, we will be having part 2 on this. Greatly enjoyed having Him on and look forward to many more with my brother. Hope you are all blessed. The first step in a relationship is getting to know the other person. The same applies to God - we should be getting to know Him and learning more about His character. In Exodus 34:5-7, God lists the following eight attributes describing Himself: Compassionate Gracious Slow to Anger Abounding in Love Abounding in Faithfulness Maintaining Love Forgiving Wickedness, Rebellion and Sin Does Not Leave the Guilty Unpunished
John Stange just released a new book titled, "Who is God?" If you're seeking to get to know God in a deeper way, we believe this will be an excellent resource for you to utilize. In the book, John goes into great detail about the Trinity, Knowing God, God's Nature, God's Attributes, and God's transformative work in our lives. The book is filled with Scripture as well. Is God who You think He is? John 4:24 Jesus tells us to worship God in spirit and in Truth and later on in 8:28 Jesus says that the truth sets us free. We are to worship God, which means the true things about God, but we can get mixed up with our feelings, with good songs, with our past that can distort our view of God. Are we worshiping God in truth or are we believing lies about God? Today we are looking at attributes of God found in His Word to help us worship the ONE TRUE God. Be a Teammate of the SPF Podcast! God is God and He has attributes that can be known about Him as studied in the Word of God. Though we can never fully exhaust God or ever comprehend all He is and all He does and will do, He still allows us to know Him. “A spiritual and saving knowledge of God is the greatest need of every human creature. The foundation of all true knowledge of God must be a clear mental apprehension of His perfections as revealed in the Holy Scripture. An unknown God can neither be trusted, served, nor worshiped… something more than a theoretical God is only truly known in the soul as we yield ourselves to Him and submit to His authority , and regulate all the details of our lives by His holy precepts and commandments." - AW Pink The Attributes of God Scriptures talked about: Job 1-2 Acts 17 Attributes of God First as we study God’s attributes we need to know that there are two main classifications of His attributes. No. 1 Incommunicable attributes - meaning he does not share these attributes with anyone or anything aseity, eternal, omnipresence, immutable, omnipotent, No. 2 Communicable attributes - meaning God shares these attributes with other beings. righteous, merciful, good, loving, just, wrathful Application Pick an attribute of God and look it up in Scripture. Study it with your kids or with a small group of women. After writing down verses ask yourself what does this attribute of God mean for your daily living? Often our chaotic world is overwhelmed with the sounds of everyday living: the radio blaring, the constant noise of the TV playing in the background, the hum of people talking, the thump, thump, thump of a teenager's car stereo, a sea of cell phones, ipods, video games, Muzak and the like. And often this doesn't allow us the opportunity to sit quietly and listen to the still, small voice of the Lord.Did you ever wonder why?We have heard sermon after sermon about what we should not fill our minds with but seldom about what we should. Today, that will all change.Note: This is a study of God's Attributes
