Jacob had problems his whole life. When he was called to go back to the promised land, we would think that all Jacob's problems would have been over and he could reap God's blessings. However, on the journey back, his beloved Rachel died, his oldest son Rueben had relations with Jacob's wife, and his father Isaac died shortly after Jacob finally got back to the promised land. Added to this was the fact that chapter 36 lists the wealth, increase and the power of Esau. Why does God give us problems? Why did God bless the line of Esau? This sermon helps give us part of the answer.

Sometimes things happen that just do not make any since, and it looks like the Lord is just siting back without concern, and we too, like Habakkuk, can get frustrated and confused. Today we are going to look at the steps that the Christian should take when this happens: The post How to deal with life's problems first appeared on Irvington Bible Baptist Church.
"Growing Up Sassafras", Hurting Little Hearts" and other titles help children deal with separation and loss through stories. Denise draws from her training in psychology as well as life experience to craft each tale. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/susan-sherayko/support
In this episode, hosts, Mike, Shauna, and Jeremy are joined by our special guest - Brad Hambrick. To discuss his booklet, God's Attributes. They discuss how a proper understanding of God is vital. However, many times what we observe from our own experiences (especially when they are difficult and painful) can affect the shape of that understanding. How do we know whether we have a true, balanced view of God? This study looks at sixteen attributes of God, grouped under the headings of his love, essence, wisdom, and power, to help challenge your understanding. It goes on to challenge how well you rest in each attribute (have faith and comfort in it) and emulate it in the struggles and experiences of your own life. So learn, through your struggles, about the One who gives those struggles meaning.

Follow Matthew on Parler! ------- Become a Patron of the Show! ------- Have you ever asked yourself the question, of whether or not it's possible to truly fix problems? Have you ever tried to fix a problem, only to realize that you created 10 new ones in the process? We as humans always try to fix our problems to improve our lives, which is one of the many traits of humanity that separates us from animals. And while I firmly believe that we should always strive for improvement, the question needs to be asked if it's really possible to truly fix our problems. You see, I happen to believe that we can never truly fix the problems that we face in our daily lives, and in the process of attempting to, were merely trade our current problems for new ones. We talk about this and much more in today's episode. Please remember to leave me a RATING/REVIEW on iTunes. Family Life Pastor - Tyler Branigan brings and encouraging word today that he titles - "What's the Worst that can Happen?". In this message Pastor Tyler encourages us all that no matter what is happening in our lives and in this crazy world that we're living in, God is still in control. He has a plan for each one of us and as we seek Him first and foremost, He will be faithful in meeting our needs. The problem most people face is that they don't keep their eyes focused on Christ, but more on the problems in life. We're encouraged to be like Peter walking on the water, as he focused on Jesus, he was on top of the waves, but the moment he saw the waves, he sunk only to have Jesus lift him up. Be encouraged today and keep your eyes on Jesus and let Him be the source of your strength.

This week, Jeff and Jennifer ponder the newfangled idea of the binge - watching whole seasons or even series in a very short span of time. Is it amazing? Is it terrible for us? Is it, perhaps, the downfall of humanity? Darn those kids today and their dangnabbit YouTubes! Get off my lawn!! Also, Yogurtland is awesome.
Topics: The Simpsons, trouble sleeping, bidding farewell to alcohol, chimpan-A to chimpan-Z, boo-urns, healthy skepticism, comforting color palettes, awesome new rock music, a mini Tucson concert calendar, getting way more personal than I originally planned to, and the things we do for love.
