Bill Sorvino began his artistic career at a very young age as a musician  learning to play piano, guitar, drums and bass guitar. He fronted several bands until finding success and landing a record deal. Following a brief stint touring with his band and after much soul-searching, Bill found himself at the world renowned  William Esper Studio for acting.  Upon completion of the rigorous two year program, Bill was cast in several short and feature films.  ”In the End”,  in which his co-lead was Domenica Cameron-Scorsese, won best directorial debut for his cousin (Michael Sorvino) at the Beverly Hills New Media, TV and Film Festival.  In 2010, Bill conceived of the idea to put together a film festival for his beloved home town of Jersey City.  It was dubbed; Golden Door International Film Festival of Jersey City.  The inaugural event was such a success, planning for the second annual GDIFFoJC started immediately.   Bill recently played the major supporting role in the thirteenth incarnation of the play “For Pete's Sake”.   He also recently completed filming “Pollinination*” starring himself and Federico Castelluccio and is cast in three feature films currently in pre-production.
