Have you ever wondered how we got light gauge strings? To give some context, until 1962, strings were 12-52, or heavier, with a wound third, and nothing lighter was available unless you used a banjo string. How about this, did you ever wonder why every string manufacturer has a 10-46 set that has the exact same gauges, 10,13,17,26,36,46? And the same with 9s and 8s? Today we tell the tale of the maverick guitarists of the late 1950's who wanted lighter strings with an unwound 3rd string, and of the guitar shop owner in Tarzana, California, who was the sole person brave enough to make, market, and sell them. Thanks to Derek Brooks and Chris Harrington with Ernie Ball, and to Joe Spann at Gruhn Guitars. To Support the Channel:Patreon https://www.patreon.com/AskZacTip jar: https://paypal.me/AskZacVenmo @AskZac Or check out my store for merch - https://my-store-be0243.creator-spring.com/#askzac #ernieball #guitarstringsSupport the Show.

Christians all over the world celebrate the resurrection of the Jewish Messiah. In Jewish tradition the resurrection is pivotal. Though it is understood in a corporate rather than individual sense, it nevertheless looks forward to the fulfillment of all the promises that God had made to Israel. The resurrection of Yeshua is significant because it proved that He was the Son of God (Romans 1:4), and confirmed that all he said and taught was true (Matthew 28:6). In addition, it served as the declaration of the Father to Israel that Yeshua met or fulfilled all the requirements of the Mosaic Law (Philippians 2:8-9).YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wT7XB6tR-AM
As Messiah begins to conclude his teaching on the last days he addresses the disciples question, "What will be the sign of your coming?" (Matthew 24:3). Messiah mentions 5 things will occur. First, there will be a complete blackout of the heavens (Matthew 24:29). The sun, moon, stars, and heavenly bodies will not shine their light. Second, this heavenly phenomena along with the roaring and churning of the seas will effect all of humanity immensely. Luke tells us the inhabitants of the earth will experience great stress, anxiety, perplexity, and confusion. The terror will be so gripping stout hearted men will cower in great fear and agitation (Luke 21:25-26). Third, the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. The sign is the Shekinah glory. Messiah does say he will come on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory (Matthew 24:30). The glory is the Shekinah, the glory of the heavenly Father (Matthew 16:27). Fourth, the twelve tribes of Israel, that is the Jewish people will mourn (Matthew 24:30). They will mourn over the national rejection of Yeshua as Messiah. They will mourn (Zechariah 12:10) and God in his mercy and grace will forgive them of their sin and cleanse them of all unrighteousness (Zechariah 13:1). Fifth, Messiah with the sound of the shofar will send out his angels to the four corners of the earth to regather his people Israel back to their own Land (Matthew 24:31; Isaiah 27:12-13). Samuel Haskell IV, the 35-year-old son of former Hollywood agent Samuel Haskell III, has been taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on suspicion of murder. The arrest follows the disturbing discovery of a dismembered woman's torso in a dumpster, believed to be connected to the disappearance of Haskell's wife, Mei Haskell, and her parents. The investigation began when a homeless man searching for recyclables stumbled upon the gruesome find in a dumpster approximately five miles from Samuel Haskell IV's Tarzana residence. Before this discovery, construction workers had reported seeing suspicious black bags near Haskell's home, raising concerns. However, by the time the police arrived, the bags had vanished. LAPD Detective Efren Gutierrez stated, "There was no evidence that allowed the officers to make entry into the home" during their initial visit. But when the dismembered torso matched the description of the bags reported by the workers, a second crime scene was established at Haskell's residence, where investigators uncovered "blood evidence." Authorities had already received reports of Mei Haskell, 37, and her parents, Yanxiang Wang, 64, and Gaoshan Li, 72, missing before the grim discovery, and their whereabouts remain unknown as of today. The couple's three children were located at school and subsequently placed under the care of the Department of Children and Family Services. Police believe the dismemberment may have been an attempt to delay the identification process, and they will rely on DNA evidence to determine the victim's identity. Samuel Haskell IV's connection to the entertainment industry through his father, Samuel Haskell III, is notable. The elder Haskell served as the executive vice president of the William Morris Agency, representing numerous prominent figures in Hollywood, including George Clooney, Dolly Parton, and Whoopi Goldberg. Haskell III retired in 2005 and currently presides over Magnolia Hill Productions. Haskell III's career also included a stint as the CEO of the Miss America organization, but he resigned amid controversy over emails containing harsh criticism and vulgar comments about past winners. This arrest is not Samuel Haskell IV's first brush with the law. Records obtained by the LA Times reveal that in December 2008, he faced charges of assault with a deadly weapon, ultimately pleading no contest to battery and receiving three years' probation in 2010. A neighbor who had a friendship with Mei Haskell expressed concerns about Samuel Haskell IV, stating, "Something seemed so weird. I kept saying to my family, 'Something is wrong with her husband.'" Samuel Haskell IV is currently being held on $2 million bail at the Valley Jail in Van Nuys in connection with the gruesome torso discovery. The investigation into this chilling murder case continues, with authorities working diligently to piece together the events leading up to this shocking tragedy.
