"The Dead Man", adapted from a story by Ray Bradbury "Do you dare to go down into...THE CELLAR?" Welcome to the tenth number in our continuing horror/suspense anthology series! Our stories are either original, or inspired by, or adapted from pulp fiction and classic literature, but they're guaranteed all-new productions, and no repeats from other series.   We know it's been about 10 months since our last "Cellar" episode, and we are glad to be back! Production on the series was halted due to many other projects that Pete got involved in, but he hopes to keep his eye on the ball, and his hand on the tiller, and his nose to the grindstone...and his butt in the producer's chair! And with that being said...we proudly present "The Dead Man", adapted by our director Pete Lutz, from a pulp-fiction story by Ray Bradbury -- a young man in a small town is ridiculed by his fellow denizens because he claims he's dead. But is he? ENJOY, my friends! CADAVERA QUIVRY: Angela Young ANNOUNCER: Graham Rowat MRS. RIBMOLL: Geri Elliff ARTHUR/CHARLIE: Rachel Rauch SIMPSON: Jason D. PULP-POURRI THEATRE S3 E4: The Time-Cutter (SCI-FI) “The Time-Cutter” is an original story by our producer-director, Pete Lutz. Originally written and produced as a live “radio” drama on the stage at Harbor Playhouse in 2001, Pete revised the script for Pulp-Pourri Theatre in 2014. This production is sponsored by Ō-Sha-Lene Motor Fuel and stars the Narada Radio Company. It's a companion piece to the previously issued "D.N.A. Pit" episode. John Dark lives in the year 2050 but believes he somehow got unstuck in time and originally comes from another era, one in the past. He makes a living in Celestial City as a time-traveling private detective, calling himself “The Time-Cutter”.  This episode of Pulp-Pourri Theatre outlines John Dark’s latest case, which could, on a very personal level, be called his strangest. Listen and enjoy! Here's one of two teasers for Episode 9 of Pulp-Pourri Theatre's fourth and final season: Edgar Allan Poe's classic poem "Annabel Lee", recited by Narada Radio Company member Jackie Ayers, with music specially composed for this piece by Tom Rory Parsons. Enjoy! Episode 9 is Poe's short story, "The Cask of Amontillado", featuring the voices of Jason D. Johnson as the narrator/protagonist, Montresor, and Pete Lutz as the fat, foolish, unfortunate Fortunato. Our next teaser will be Poe's dark classic, "The Raven", also with music by Mr. Tom. I'm honestly shocked that I hadn't posted this before now, our 2015 entry for the Sonic Society's Summerstock Playhouse: Our pretty decent remake of the Lux Radio Theater's 1951 adaptation of Carol Reed's 1949 film, "The Third Man".  In case you didn't know, the Summerstock Playhouse brings you, every Summer, a handful of old-time radio remakes from modern-day audio drama producers. As I indicated above, this was our first entry, and I'd already released our production from last year, "Good Ghost" from the Quiet, Please radio series. It's no coincidence that I went looking for our first production -- earlier this week I wrapped post-production on this year's entry, "Meridian 7-1212" from the 1939 Columbia Workshop series broadcast. This new one will be featured at the Sonic Summerstock in the last weekend of July.  Find the Summerstock Playhouse at http://sonicsociety.org/category/sonic-summer/ There's a special thing going on this summer to honor the memory of our dear friend Bill Hollweg: click on the link to find out more. Meantime, here's the cast of THE THIRD MAN. Enjoy the show! CAST OF CHARACTERS: Announcer  – Lisa Marie Ayala John Milton Kennedy  – Larry Hutchison William Keighley – Christian Ferris Harry Lime – Pete Lutz Holly Martins – Alan Clower Major Calloway – Jason D.
