Two days after Christmas of 1993, thirty-eight year old nurse and mother of two, Latricia White failed to show up for work. Hours later, her father went to her home and was devestated to find her lifeless body lying in bed. It would later be determined she had been shot multiple times in the head as she slept.Investigators soon learned of Lee Wackerhagen, Latricia's live in boyfriend, who was nowhere to be found. Not only was Lee missing, but so was his nine year old son, Chance. Days later, Lee's abandoned truck was found in east Austin, the bed smeared with blood. It didn't take long for detectives to determine Wackerhagen had killed Latricia and fled, abducting his son in the process. For twenty long years that is exactly as the case remained until a cold case investigator with the Texas Rangers found several problems with the original investigation. In 2016, the Texas Department of Public Safety officially announced they now believed that Lee and Chance were both victims of foul play, likely at the hand of Latricia's killer.Sponsored by: ZocDoc! Just after Christmas in 1993, Latricia White was found murdered and her boyfriend Dub Wackerhagen and his son Chance went missing. Police encountered a very bloody scene including what appeared to be a footprint in blood they believed belonged to Chance. But, they have very few clues with which to work. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the murder of Latricia White and the disappearance of Dub and Chance Wackerhagen. The police initially theorized that Dub killed Latricia and then abducted his son Chance to keep him away from his mother. They went as far as to put out an arrest warrant for Dub. But, over the years, the police changed their minds and started to believe that Dub and Chance were more likely victims. There are still a lot of unanswered questions in this case. Lee Wackerhagen Jr spent 23 years as a wanted fugitive and was even added to the Texas most wanted list. O misterioso caso de Latricia White
Christmas is, for many, the happiest time of the year and is filled with laughter, joy and hope for the future. For some, it brings back awful memories and is another reminder of that their loved ones aren’t there with them and for people who lost friends or family during the festive period, it can be even more difficult. For one mother, Christmas Day will always be the anniversary of the last time he spoke to her son. Two days later, he and his father would disappear after witnessing a brutal murder. Let’s uncover the unsolved murder of Latricia White & the disappearance of Lee & Chance Wackerhagen. If you have any information on Latricia's murder or Lee and Chance's disappearance, please contact the Texas DPS Criminal Investigative Services on 210-531-4375. Latricia White was having a normal Christmas Day with her live-in boyfriend and his son. Little did she know this would be her last. The next day Latricia was found murdered in her bed by a gunshot wound. This case may seem simple but there's a twist no one saw coming.
On December 27th, 1993, nurse and mother-of-two Latricia White was found brutally murdered in her bed at home in Lockhart, Texas. What at first appeared to be a simple case of domestic violence in the extreme, soon took a turn into the Twilight Zone. Special guest Ariana Verhauz joins us while Robert explains the mystery behind the death of Latricia White and the disappearance of her boyfriend Lee and his son Chance (from a previous marriage). Latricia White was shot 6 times in the head on around Christmas. Her boyfriend Lee and his son disappeared shortly thereafter. A shoe print from Chance was left in the blood and evidence ruled Lee out as a suspect. Lee's truck was found abandoned 30 miles from the home with no trace of Lee or his son Chance. The mystery continues some 20 odd years later.
On December 27th, 1993, Latricia White was found murdered in her home. The main suspect, her boyfriend Lee "Dub" Wackerhagen, and his son Chance have not been seen since. Did Lee commit murder, kidnap his son, and go into hiding? Or is it possible that Lee and Chance were also victims of foul play?Visit our Patreon page to support the show and earn some awesome rewards: https://patreon.com/allcrimenocattle. December 27, 1993. Lockhart, Texas. The body of 38-year old Latricia White is discovered in her bed after having been shot six times. Latricia’s live-in boyfriend, Lee “Dub” Wackerhagen, has vanished from their home, alongside his nine-year son, Chance. Three days later, Dub’s abandoned pick-up truck is discovered, containing many of his personal items and blood which does not belong to Latricia. Since Dub was known for having a volatile temper, he becomes the prime suspect in the murder and a warrant is issued for his arrest. However, over two decades later, the authorities announce that new evidence suggests Latricia, Dub and Chance were all victims of foul play. But who could have been responsible? Today’s episode of “The Trail Went Cold” examines a baffling unsolved case which was voted on by our listeners in a Facebook poll.
