Dr. Bell emphasizes the importance of how we represent Christ. Life is going to happen because that is what life does. When life happens, are we still representing Christ? Or are we representing what the world has done to us? When life happens, God is not surprised. In fact, it is safe to say that nothing happens without God allowing it to happen. We may not understand the things that happen, but God does. He knew they would happen in the way that they do. Trust Him. The scriptures teach us that no man knows the day nor the hour that Christ will return. Many do not believe it because we have been saying that for centuries. But we do not realize that every time someone dies that Christ has returned for that soul. We are so busy looking for the clouds to part and we are all “caught up” that we fail to see that Christ has been here for every opened grave. Make sure we are representing Christ in season and out of season. Because we never know when He will part the clouds for either one of us. Blessings!

The return of Jesus is the blessed hope of the Church
Join America and me as we give our response to Hugh Nibley's pamphlet "No Ma'am That's Not History." We break down five of his specific criticisms of Fawn Brodie along with a few others. First we discuss the origin of the Book of Mormon. Second, Joseph Smith's character. Third, the First Vision. Fourth, Joseph's communion with angels and Five, the Book of Abraham. We also discuss polygamy, the evolution of the Church's name, and the changing doctrines of the Church.
We are told to be as harmless as doves, but also to be as wise as serpents. There are times to speak and times to hold ones tongue; there are times to speak under one's Christian name and times to speak under a pseudonym. Of course, there are those who would contend that the use of pseudonyms is cowardly or even sinful, but seldom are these individuals consistent — attacking one group for pseudonymity, while ignoring or even praising another that practices the same. Is there a place for pseudonymity in the Christian church? Or are those who employ it ‘anonymous [sic] trolls' as some would contend? As always, we must look to Scripture, but we must also look to the motives of those who seek to unmask the pseudonymous. The answer is obvious, but many Christians — certainly to include pastors — get this one wrong. Subscribe to the podcast here. A few months back I got together with Scott who is the host for the podcast Rameumptom Ruminations and together he and I did a four part series of a Book Club discussing the book "No Man Knows My History" by Fawn Brodie. He has given me permission to share each of those parts here on my podcast. This is Part 2 of that series where we go over chapters eight through fourteen. After I share all of these, I am going to share Hugh Nibley's response to Fawn Brodie's book, so stay tuned for that as well!

He has given me permission to share each of those parts here on my podcast. This is the fourth and final part of the book club where we go over chapters twenty-two through twenty-seven, as well as the epilogue. These chapters were probably my favorites of the entire book. There was a lot I didn't know before and Brodie does a magnificent job of showing how far Joseph Smith rose before his martyrdom in Carthage, Illinois. I hope you enjoy listening!

The all-knowing God of the universe is described by David in Psalm 139:1-6, but some men seem to think that they know more than God...or at least, they ignore the fact that He knows everything, which is a very dangerous thing. The fact is, there are things that no man knows.
Ari talks about growing up in the picture perfect Mormon family, and how it all crumbled when she was excommunicated from that family for speaking out against abuse. In this episode, we discuss how Ari lost her faith in the church when she realized that it, too was rooted in abuse and lies, and set on excommunicating those who spoke out against those things. In her discovery, she concluded that the church creates toxic family systems and even abuse cycles. Ari and Adam are parents to 9 kids, and are now cycle breakers. When is the Rapture of the Church (1Thessalonians 4) in relation to the 2nd Coming of Christ to establish His Kingdom on the earth (Revelation 19). Pastor Derek makes the case for the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, which motivates us to look for Christ's imminent Return for us. This realisation will cause us to walk close to the Lord in holiness, serving Him faithfully, and being a witness to the world.

Trigger Warning: We discuss the topic of sexual assault and the abuse of power within the Mormon religion. This is a heavy conversation in which Carissa shares her exit story from the LDS church. There are parts of the story that are upsetting. Although we continue this conversation with humor and levity, it may leave you feeling triggered or in despair. If you need to pause and come back, please do, because on the other side of this gross abuse of power, there is freedom, joy, and peace. We hope you can listen to the whole story. We will spend the next several episodes sharing exit stories from the LDS church, and the specific circumstances that lead each of these people right out the door. This is not meant to be mean to those who are part of the religion, it is a call to hold those in power accountable, and to see each person in their story, their pain, and heartbreak. These decisions are not made haphazardly. They are full of difficult, gut wrenching decisions. We want to share our stories so that others know they are not alone. It is important to point out the toxicity of the culture in eliminating the option for personal boundaries. Individuals have undue pressure put on them in regards to the eternal salvation of those you love. This hierarchy deliberately pits family members against each other in order to keep each individual feeling stuck in the church. The leadership, those in powerful positions making the decisions for the whole, utilizes control over the individuals. They control what you wear, down to your underwear, how you spend your money, what you do with your time, and they exercise power over children instead of allowing parents to take responsibility for the safety of their children. This is a mighty over reach, and the power is abused all too often. We begin the series with Carissa sharing her very personal experience inside the religion. Carissa shares her feelings as a young girl of concern for her father's salvation. Those men who put this idea in her mind were out of line, and her father is a phenomenal man and his eternal salvation never needed to be worried about. She walks us through her high school experience, marriage in the temple, and the straw that broke the camel's back. 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
UpTime Community is a podcast that covers teachings and unique perspectives on end time events. What is the meaning behind, "no man knows the day, nor hour" in Matthew chapter 24? Has it been taken out of context? Is it really referring to the Rapture of the Church, or something else? These questions will be addressed in this podcast.

Bill Reel is currently serving as Bishop of the Sandusky ward of the Cleveland Ohio Stake. In this interview we begin by discussing Bishop Reel’s conversion to the church AFTER reading Fawn Brodie’s"No Man Knows my History", and his avid pursuit of Mormon apologetics after his baptism. We also discuss in depth his calling as bishop, including his job to counsel youth and women on sexual matters, masturbation, and homosexuality. Since Bishop Reel is a listener of the podcast, we discuss his perception and frustration of an increasing trend towards negativity on Mormon Stories. We also discuss the future direction of Mormon Stories, and Bishop Reel offers his advice for members in doubt.

Harold Camping, owner of Family Radio, has made a prediction that the end of the world will take place on May 21, 2011. This day will include such things as a great earthquake, the rapture, and dead bodies of the unsaved lying on top of the ground. I taught this lesson a few days before the supposed end of the world.
