The Fall Feasts and God's Prophetic Time Clock by Church at the Red Door
In this episode of the Curt Landry Podcast, Rabbi Curt and Darrell Puckett talk about Simchat Torah, the day after Sukkot which marks the completion of the annual cycle of Torah readings. Rabbi shares the prophetic significance of this day, and reflects on the horrific events that occurred last Simchat Torah on October 7th in Israel. This year has proven we are at war, not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil. God's people must arise as spiritual warriors in this hour, trusting God will equip us for victory as we surrender to walk in His strength and wisdom and not our own. Rabbi shares the prophetic word of the “7 strikes” and how this is the time to seal and send the prophetic words you received during the Fall Feasts.Learn more about Simchat Torah in our new blog: https://curtlandry.com/SimchatTorahMAPA hats: https://curlandry.com/MAPA

In this special broadcast I go into the Feast of Tabernacles. Now I realize that the conditions set forth by Yahweh differs from what He set forth in the beginning. What caught my interest into these 7 Holy Feasts was the Prophetic Message contained within them.We find that within these 7, 4 are in the season of the spring, while the remaining 3 are in the fall or “harvest. In studying the Prophecy aspect of Yahweh's Words, we realize and conclude that these 7 Holy Feasts play an important role in the Prophecy of Yahshua Messiah concerning the past and the present. Let's take a brief view of the first 4 Feasts:The Feast of Passover pointed to Yahshua's death on Calvary as “the Lamb of Yahweh, who taketh away the sin of the world”, John 1:29The Feast of Unleavened Bread attested to the fact that Yahshua's body, unlike all others would not decay in the grave. The Son of Yahweh, in speaking with His Heavenly Father said, “for Thou wilt not leave My soul in hell, neither wilt Thou permit Thine Holy One to see corruption” Psalms 16:10The Feast of Firstfruits proclaimed the certainty of His bodily resurrection. The acceptance by Yahweh of the Firstfruits [sheaf] of the spring barley harvest guaranteed a full harvest to follow. By virtue of the resurrection of Yahshua Messiah, He is the Firstfruits and guarantees that all the Saints within Him will one day rise from the grave. The Feast of Pentecost, which occurs exactly 50 days after Firstfruits [the resurrection of the Messiah] anticipated the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the origin of the “Ek-kelsia”. We read in the Jewish Talmud, in the tractate of Sotah, foli #48 it reads in part “when Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi died, the Holy Spirit departed from Israel; nevertheless they made use of the Bath Kol.” [a divine voice from Heaven]These 4 events in the life of Yahshua Messiah, which the 4 spring feasts depicted, are history. We can look back at these events and they can be examined as historical facts. We can say that the first 4 set the foundation for the remaining 3. [As I think on this foundation, I think of the Tabernacle, which is to come, and when this Tabernacle comes, then all of His Elect come to dwell in the eternal]The fall Feasts have not yet occurred! They are yet future and predict with absolute certainty, events that will most assuredly unfold. As the 4 spring Feasts were fulfilled literally and right on schedule in connection with the Messiah's first coming, the 3 Fall Feasts will likewise be fulfilled literally and right on schedule in connection with His second coming.Beginning at Sunset on Wednesday October 16, 2024 starts the Feast of Tabernacles which ends at nightfall on Wednesday October 23, 2024. Then on the evening of October 23, 2024, begins the 8th Day, which is called Shemini Atzeret. (Numbers 29:35), simply as ‘the 8th day of assembly'. [the sages interpreted this to mean Yahweh asks all who made pilgrimage for Sukkoth to tarry (atzeret, which come from the Hebrew root word meaning ‘to hold back' with Him one additional day.The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) points to the final phase of Yahweh's plan of redemption for mankind—the Second Coming of Yahshua Messiah and the Millennium.Something very special happened on this Feast of Tabernacle. Friday October 11 2024, sundown Ending nightfall of Saturday October 12, 2024Last Wednesday October 2 to Friday October 4 2024 was the Jewish Holiday of Rosh Hashanah or the Blowing of the Trumpets! This morning we shall discuss the “Day of Atonement” or known as “Yom Kippur” [ Yom = the day, Kippur = ask for forgiveness]. Other words this is a special Feast in which you and I ask our Heavenly Father for all those sins which we may have over looked throughout the past year.In recognition of Yahweh's Words, we are instructed to honor and respect His 7 Holy Feast periods. This is a special week, beginning what will almost certainly be a "special" month, even if it ends up spectacularly Evil. There have already been two massive, X-class, Earth-directed CMEs this week, arriving soon, and that may be just a harbinger of the fireworks intended to come. Man-made or not. It's also even a time when, calendar differences notwithstanding, most who read "Scripture-as-Written," will seek to celebrate, or 'remember' the Fall Feasts of YHVH. And, likewise, the birth of our Messiah - even if 'the world' doesn't get it. All of which means: "It's OCTOBER -- Surprise!!!" So pay attention. And "be not deceived."

In this episode of the Curt Landry Podcast, Rabbi Curt and Darrell Puckett continue their conversation on the prophetic significance of the Fall Feasts 5785, specifically the cleansing of Yom Kippur and the wedding feast of Sukkot. They speak into how to battle fear and anxiety amid the volatile nature of our times, and the power of being Kingdom-focused and Kingdom-minded in everything.
Web Description: God rested from His works. That means they are completed. And that is what the Sabbath is all about. This Sabbath rest of God is expressed in the coming feasts of the fall season. They are windows of opportunity to enter God's rest by rejoicing in, proclaiming, and appropriating God's completed provisions. Show Notes: On the seventh day God rested from all His works that He had completed. Then He set apart the seventh day as the Sabbath, a day when we recognize that God has completed all His works for us. They exist now, and therefore we look forward to appropriating everything that He has made available to us. And the upcoming fall feasts are a perfect time for us to do that. We should approach these times with a drive in our hearts to appropriate God's provisions and see them manifested. The fall feasts begin with Yom Truah, the Day of Trumpets. According to the meaning of truah, Yom Truah is a day of blowing the trumpet, shouting, or crying aloud before the Lord. This reminds us that while we have many promises in the Word of God, we should be shouting and proclaiming them. We find this command throughout the Scriptures that we are to shout, rejoice, and worship God in what He has spoken. His great provisions are available for us now, and we proclaim them into the earth. The Sabbath rest of God means that we are not waiting for the promises of the feasts to be fulfilled in the future. We rejoice in our total salvation on the Day of Atonement and in God's presence with us at Tabernacles. These are already created in God, finished, and available to us. These days of the biblical feasts are more than just observances. They are a time to reach in for that which has been completed for us by God. We celebrate these feasts by entering God's rest, by worshipping Him, by rejoicing in what He has provided, and by appropriating His provisions into our experience. Key Verses: • Genesis 2:2–3. “God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work.” • Psalm 98:4–9. “Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth.” • Isaiah 54:1–3. “Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud.” • Jeremiah 31:7–9. “Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, and shout.” • Jeremiah 29:11–14. “You will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” • Deuteronomy 4:29–35. “From there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him.” • Ezekiel 36:24–28. “I will cleanse you from all your filthiness.” • Zechariah 2:10–13. “Sing for joy and be glad.” • Leviticus 26:11–12. “I will make My dwelling among you.” • Exodus 29:45–46. “I will dwell among the sons of Israel.” • Psalm 118:21–29. “Let us rejoice and be glad.” • John 7:37–38. “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.” Quotes: • “I don't want to wait for some day in the future. If I wait too long, I'm not going to be here to enjoy it. I want the Kingdom to come in my time. I want these things to manifest because Christ said, ‘It is finished.'” • “We want to appropriate the open door that exists right now for God's people to return to the land in a time of great blessing, upon a straight path which the Lord will make so that there is no stumbling.” • “We don't wait for Him to fulfill the promises and then feel thankful, then feel glad, then feel rejoicing. We feel it now. It is completed now. It exists now. It's available now.” Takeaways: 1. In looking at the Sabbath rest of God, we realize that God has finished the provisions that He made for us. The things that He has made available for us are ours to appropriate. They exist now. 2. The feasts are windows of time that God has made available. So we should approach these celebrations with a determination to find out what God has provided in them and be driven to receive all that He has for us. 3. The feasts are times to shout and declare God's promises, to worship Him and rejoice in their completion and our appropriation of them today. 4. We live in a day when the nations are coming against Israel and the Jewish people. But that is the opposite of what God has provided. God has provided for many nations to join themselves to the Lord and to Israel and become His people. Then He will dwell in our midst. Let us celebrate this as a reality now at this time of Tabernacles.

Parsha "Acharei Mot" (Leviticus chapters 16 through 18) is typically read in the timeframe of the Passover, and the week of the 'Feast of Unleavened Bread,' or Chag HaMaMatzot, but seems to have more to do with a major element of the Fall Feasts - the Day of Atonement. The Moed of First Fruits is arguably the day when the Risen Yahushua, as The First Fruit of Adam-kind Himself, made the required offering of Himself for us to Himself, in the place where He has put His Name. "When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the cohen: And he shall wave the sheaf before Yahuah, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the cohen shall wave it. And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he Lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto Yahuah.... And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings." (Leviticus 23:10-12;14) ?While Rashi disagrees, and the rabbinic tradition thus ends up with a date which does NOT always fall of the First Day of the week, I contend that (as Yahushua obviously did) the 'morrow after the WEEKLY Sabbath' is what the verse means. Which is today (28 April). It is also the day which therefore begins the 'counting of the Omer' - seven Sabbaths plus one, or 50 days. And, perhaps dramatically, if not also ironically, THIS year the 'sighted new moon' that marked a "beginning of months" for us (Exodus 12:2) was observed directly by literally millions of witnesses! The Erev Shabbat reading: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/SSM-4-26-24-Acharei-Mot-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 This year there is quite a bit of variance between calendar understandings. Not to mention the fact that the 'sighted' new moon this year was a bit more spectacular than usual as well. So Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship has decided to depart from the 'suggested' annual Torah cycle reading schedule, and make some observations based on a confluence of events, and teachings. By now, perhaps it should not surprise us that His Word, and His warnings, are ever-more-important. The conclusion of the Fall Feasts, and the week of Sukkot which ends with the "Last Great Day," is this weekend, by most calendar reckonings. And certainly the largest attack on the modern nation of Israel in almost exactly 50 years on that day, and Sabbath, can hardly be a coincidence. Especially since the last such surprise attack fell on Yom Kippur, of 1973, THE 'High Sabbath' during the Fall Feasts as well. It is STILL, however, the 'Season of our Joy,' regardless of the attempts of 'the Adversary,' whichever swamp he hails from. But, particularly in a year such as this, it's fair to ask the question, "have we been warned?" This week the season of the Fall Feasts enter - literally - the final joyful week, with Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles, also known as 'the Season of our Joy.' And that turns out to be more appropriate than most 'Christians' have been told in 'sun-god-day school,' because, as is readily shown, it is the time of His actual birth. Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a look at several readings for this special time of joy: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/SSM-9-29-23-Sukkot-the-Season-of-our-JOY-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 This weekend marks the beginning of the Feast of Tabernacles, or Booth, or even 'mangers' - and of Sukkot in the Hebrew. And since this Feast is specifically a reminder of things past, and longer past, but also present, and certainly a 'shadow' of Good Tidings of Great Joy yet to come, it's a good time to put some vital issues in perspective. The regular Torah portion now includes the very last few in the Book of Deuteronomy, the life of Moses himself, and thus some of his final admonitions, including the second, and final, "Song of Moses," in parsha "Ha'azinu," chapter 32 of Debarim. This week is also the Sabbath that falls between the sounding of the shofar, Yom Teruah, that begins the Fall Feasts of Yah, the the tenth day of the seventh month, and "holiest day of the year," Yom Kippur, of the Day of Atonement...sometimes called "Shabbat Shuva," or the Sabbath of Return. It's also a time of GREAT 'Misunderstanding' for most of 'xtianity,' that has been taught one of the Biggest Lies in all human history - that the Creator of the Universe and Author of Scripture 'did away with' His own Written "law" (actually, 'Instruction,' - His Word) and didn't mean it when He said - repeatedly - to keep MY feasts (moedim, and Appointed Times) "forever" - wherever your end up. The Erev Shabbat reading and overview is about that Song of Moses itself, chapter 32: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/SSM-9-22-23-Ha-azinu-Yom-Kippur-Deut-32-teaching-podcast-xx.mp3 The "Shabbat Shuba" teaching addresses that misunderstanding, and the whole point of the Sabbath of RETURN directly. And this year, even more than others before it, given the Evil now rampant in the world, is a particularly poignant reminder of why He has told us to remember His "Appointed Times." There is, however, one question that always seems to come up regarding the commandment to observe the "Day of Atonement,' Yom Kippur, by "afflicting our souls." Most of us have been told that might mean to fast for the entire day. But why not just say that? Could there be more? And - just MAYBE - does an understanding there start to tie literally everything together? Know the power of God's grace in the Feast of the Lord, as you learn how to prepare for God's inspection. **** Welcome to Celebrating God's Grace, A Women World Leader's Podcast, I'm your host Robin Kirby- Gatto. Thank you for joining us today as we celebrate God's grace, in our lives, in our ministry, and around the world. Today's Title: Inspection Time 35 “And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you and contend with you face to face. 36 As I entered into judgment and contended with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment and contend with you, says the Lord God. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod [as the shepherd does his sheep when he counts them, and I will count you as Mine and I will constrain you] and bring you into the covenant to which you are permanently bound. 38 And I will purge out and separate from among you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they temporarily dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you shall know, understand, and realize that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 20:35-38 AMPC We're in my favorite time of year, which is the time of the Fall Feasts for God's People. September 16th is the Feast of Trumpets, September 20th is the Day of Atonement, and September 30th is the beginning of the seven days of Feast of Tabernacles. The fall feasts are laid forth in Leviticus 23:24-37. The Jews celebrate the New Year, Rosh Hashana, which is the first month of the Civil Year, beginning with the month of Tishrei, falling on the same day with the Feast of Trumpets. It's at this time that the Jewish people believe there is the passing of Judgment for the New Year, which can be likened to the sheep passing under the shepherd's rod. The Feast of Trumpets is a foreshadowing of Jesus' second coming, where He will blow the trumpet as His people will be caught up with Him, and then tabernacle with Him eternally in heaven, as displayed in the Feast of Tabernacles. Prescribed in Revelation 19:7-8, we're making ourselves ready for the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, permitted to dress in fine linen that's dazzling white. Like the preparation of a farmer gathering the harvest, there's a preparation for God's people to enter the fall feasts, which begins with one examining their own heart as they seek God, to see if there be any wicked way within them. (Psalm 139:23-24) This past Friday, after I did a video on the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord, I received an email from the apartment management company that there would be an inspection, on what I thought read “Monday.” I began cleaning the dining room on Friday, basically used for storing boxes of cookware that needed to be unpacked. Then, I determined that the rest of the house could be dealt with over the weekend, since my husband would be available to help. When the weekend came, we not only cleaned the bathroom, but knew that a bigger project lay ahead of us, my youngest son's room. Now, I don't know how many mothers out there can relate to having a son, which I have two. I've gone through years of dealing with them on dirty rooms while growing up. In fact, my youngest can go for days with soda or drink cans, boxes of crackers or the like, and be completely fine with it. In fact, I think he could go for weeks if not months like that, and it does not affect him. As a result, occasionally, in years past, I've cleaned my youngest son's room, as a birthday or holiday gift. However, things were different two years ago. I became too overwhelmed at the thought of even tackling his room. As I mentioned in my last podcast with my hormonal storm in August, where my estrogen tanked, I didn't realize how much the deficiency of it took a toll on regular activities. Because my estrogen was getting lower, I wasn't motivated to clean anything and was pretty much overwhelmed by everything. Thank goodness, that the three weeks on Hormone Replacement Therapy, had renewed my youth. I never knew prior to this, that estrogen was known as “the fountain of youth,” and now I understand why. Thus, I had amazing energy and motivation at cleaning my youngest son's room, as I felt like a foreman on a construction site, giving assignments to my husband, in us tackling what seemed like the aftermath of a tornado. To mine and my husband's amazement, we finished in an hour and half, and it looked PHENOMENAL! I won't go into detail, but I had at least three bags of trash that Rich hauled out. After our hard work, we were able to rest, feeling more relaxed, knowing that everything was prepared in advance for the inspection. Inspect means to examine something or someone closely. It comes from two Latin words “in” meaning “in” and “specere,” meaning, “look at.” As we look at the Fall Feasts, beginning with Feast of Trumpets and get closer to the Day of Atonement, these two specific feasts are a token of God's message for us to prepare for the inspection of the Lord, symbolically preparing for Christ's return. This can be seen in Ezekiel 20, with God preparing His sheep to pass under the shepherd's rod. Pass in Hebrew is ʻâbar pronounced aw-bar' meaning, “to cross over, to cover, carry over, escape, go beyond, go forth, sweet smelling, etc.” [i] The Hebrew letters that compose pass, reveal much, as we look at the Old Hebrew symbols and their meaning. Ayin, Bet, and Resh are the Hebrew letters for pass. Ayin is the ancient symbol of an eye meaning, “to see know and experience.” Bet is the ancient symbol of a tent meaning, “tent, house, household, and family.” Finally, Resh is the ancient symbol of a man's face meaning, “head, highest, and person.” Therefore, all three letters combined, create the word picture SEEING AND EXPERIENCING THE HOUSE OF THE MOST HIGH! Wow! This is us preparing for ETERNITY! The English letters that spell the Hebrew word for pass are A.B.A.R. When I look at the English spelling of this Hebrew word, I cannot help but see the two words A BAR! You've heard the saying “raise the bar.” The term “raise the bar” originated from athletic games referring to the pole vault and high jump. This can be likened to 2 Corinthians 3:18. “And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 AMPC Our bar each year, as we approach the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement, is to go from glory to glory, being transformed into the image of Christ. Glory comes from the Greek word doxa pronounced dox'-ah meaning, “glory, dignity, honor, worship, and praise.” [ii] This comes from the Greek word dokéō pronounced dok-eh'-o meaning, “to think, seem good, pleasure, etc.” What I can relate to with this primary Greek word for glory is that it means “TO THINK!” Immediately my mind goes to Jeremiah 29:11, where God's thoughts towards us are to give us a hope and a future. Thus, as we go from glory to glory in the Word of Truth being transformed into the image of Christ's character, WE THINK GOD'S THOUGHTS! This is what the bar looks like in the individual Christian's life. We think more in align with God's heart, seeing through the eyes of Love, having mercy on others, without judgment, to believe and pray as the Father leads us. This is the power of love. This is what my husband and I did when we cleaned our son's room. We didn't point out all the grossness of the things we found, that made me want to put on a hazmat suit. We didn't think he was awful or horrible. Why? Because we love him! We see him through love's eyes. We saw his room already as being clean before we finished, because that's how we see him. What is absolutely wild, is that I waited for the inspection on Monday, and it never happened. So as the day went on, I decided to look at the email again. I know for certain I saw the word “Monday,” for the inspection, and thought they would come late. Low and behold, as I reread the email, it said the inspection would be THURSDAY! We cleaned up several days ahead, prepared and waited for the inspection. All I could do was give a sigh of relief, thanking God that I read it wrong. Otherwise, I would have done all the cleaning myself, not asking for help from my husband. With this relief, I just pondered on the Hebrews 4 rest of the Lord, the Seventh Day rest, represented in the seven-day celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles. Think of this, how we'll be blessed that we did what the Lord prescribed for us on earth, preparing for heaven. The sheep passing under the bar as in Ezekiel, for eternity are those who will tabernacle with God. And for us on earth are those who can cross over into the New Year, becoming more like Christ. I couldn't help but think how it would be if we treated everyday as though we were preparing for an inspection with God. We'd be a little kinder, more long suffering, forgiving others quickly, being slow to anger, and serving others with the love of Christ. As we continue in the Fall Feasts, let's celebrate the fact that we will be caught up one day with the Lord and tabernacle with Him eternally. In this celebration let's rejoice that we're all going to be together, treating each other with respect and honor, to enter the place of God's approval, being a faithful servant of the Lord, to hear “well done, my good and faithful servant, enter the joy of the Lord!” Thanks for listening to Women World Leaders podcast! The time of the Fall Feasts means that the "regular Torah portions" end up getting shuffled a bit, especially given the "calendar variants" many of us see. But as the Torah cycle begins to wrap up, parsha Vayelekh (Deuteronomy chapter 31) is one of the final few, but there are also a number of readings that deserve attention as well at this special time. Join Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship for a look at the first of those. The Erev Shabbat reading includes Deuteronomy 31 itself, and helps to put some of the other aspects of Yom Teruah, the first of His Fall 'Moedim' or Appointed Times, into perspective: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/SSM-9-15-23-Vayelekh-Yom-Teruah-Deut-31-teaching-podcasat-xx.mp3 This weekend marks the day of Trumpets, or shouting, known in Hebrew as Yom Teruah, which is unique among the moedim of YHVH because it is the only one associated with the new moon. It's even been referred to for that reason as the one which, until it arrives, "no one knows the hour or the day." It has always been true, even if the 'whore church' would try to claim otherwise, that observing His Appointed Times, as we are commanded, brings blessings. But, 'in such a time as this,' there's more reason than ever. Especially when we come to understand what Paul was REALLY saying in Colossians 2! Jesus is the fullness of all Feasts which were shadows of Christ to come. All have been fulfilled, four have manifested on the calendar of history, and three are yet to have real-time appearance. Soon we will see Jesus in real time in the Fall Feasts. The post Jesus the Fulfillment of all Seven Feasts appeared first on Jubilee Church.
Today, I'm re-sharing a "headlines" episode from September 16, 2022 in which I introduce Johnathan Kahn's book: Return of the Gods. At the 22:36 minute mark, I share about the importance of the Fall Feasts and how they are applicable to Christians. In order to understand bible prophesy, you must be familiar with the Fall Feasts of Israel, because they prophesy Christ's RETURN! Parsha Nitzavim ["you are standing THIS Day..." from Deuteronomy 29:9 through chapter 30] contains what Mark Call of Shabbat Shalom Mesa contend is one of the most graphic and undeniable refutations of some of THE Biggest Lies in all xtianity...things that are NOT in the Real Book, but get taught in sun-god-day skool as if they actually were. It also contains THE singular Two Word Summary of not only His Instruction, but how to "rightly divide the Word," which applies even if it even appears to the 'uneducated and untaught' as if there is some conflict. The Erev Shabbat reading makes it clear: https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/SSM-9-8-23-Nitzavim-Deut-30-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The Sabbath midrash explores the depth of the Big Lie that most of us were taught - wrongly - in a church which first tried to claim "the Law" was "done away with," and then followed up with the caveat, that, well, 'NOBODY but jesus could possibly KEEP it anyway!' Worse, is that both of them try to claim the Creator and Author of Scripture Himself is a liar for so clearly saying otherwise! But ALL of that comes to a head in this parsha, where the lessons of this season's Fall Feasts combine with a 'greater Exodus,' still to come, to show WHY those lies are so devastating. "Nitzavim: Debunking the Big Lie that's NOT in The Book - with His RIGHTEOUSNESS" https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/WT-CooH-Nitzavim-Chose-HaYom-His-RIGHTEOUSNESS-Tzadekah-podcast-xxxx.mp3 The combined two-part teaching is here:
Parsha "Ki Tavo" (Deuteronomy 26:1 thru 29:8) is the most well-known collection of "blessings and cursings" in the Bible. There is, of course, much more. But this year, there's an additional twist as well. Having taught this for a number of years at this point, and noting just how relevant - and DESERVED - those curses are, it time for a different take. After all, if it's not obvious by now how and why those curses apply, it's fair to ask: Just what is it gonna take? The Erev Shabbat overview begins with something that might seem quite different from how this one ends...what does 'first fruits,' and things that have to with His appointed times, have to do with blessings and cursings? But it's no coincidence this parsha coincides with the coming of the Fall Feasts, and all they represent. https://hebrewnationonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/SSM-9-1-23-Ki-Tavo-teaching-podcast-xxx.mp3 The Sabbath midrash is a look at the question that should especially resonate this year: The reasons for the curses should be obvious, but will not be to far too many. And Deuteronomy 27:26 is why! Doesn't it tell those who deny His Word exactly what the consequences are? The curses are deserved, arguably even overdue; but YHVH is patient, to give all who will a chance to 'return' to Him. The question for those with eyes to see then becomes, what do we do now? And Mark Call, of Shabbat Shalom Mesa fellowship, suggests the answer is in there, repeatedly. It starts with "fear not!" - but it turns out that there is more than one Hebrew word for "fear," and the difference is vital to the second part of the answer, especially for the time of Sukkot: REJOICE!
