In this episode, Niall asks a provocative question: Is shouting at your children a form of child abuse? The debate was sparked by a top psychologist who claimed that shouting at children — or even arguing loudly in front of them — can be just as damaging as physically slapping them. The expert warned that such behaviour can have long-lasting emotional and psychological effects, and even suggested it should be legally recognised as harmful. Is this an overreaction? Or are we only beginning to understand the impact of verbal and emotional discipline? Some callers strongly agreed, arguing that constant shouting creates fear, anxiety, and insecurity in children. They believe emotional abuse is often overlooked simply because it doesn't leave bruises, and that parenting should focus on calm, respectful communication.Others said the idea goes too far. Parenting is chaotic, stressful, and imperfect — and sometimes raising your voice is the only way to get a message across. One caller asked: “If we ban shouting, are we also banning being human?”Others took a middle ground, saying occasional shouting doesn't equal abuse, but that consistent yelling, insults, or aggressive behaviour can cross the line into real harm.As Niall points out, this is about more than parenting styles — it's about defining where discipline ends and damage begins.

If your strategy screams content creator—but not power player—this episode is your wake-up call. Too many women are stuck spinning their wheels trying to land high-level deals with low-level tactics. Posting daily? Shouting your value in the comments? Cold DMs for “virtual coffee”? Let's fix that. In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on what it actually takes to get in the room with decision-makers who write big checks. This is for the entrepreneur who knows she's capable of more—but isn't quite sure how to shift from pitching to positioning. We're talking about enterprise-level visibility, not content calendar chaos. These are the power moves I've used—and taught others to use—to land $3M deals and be seen as a peer, not a pitch. If you've been wondering why you're not getting the “yes,” even with receipts and results, this is your blueprint to change that. You don't need more hustle. You need a smarter room. What You'll Learn: The #1 reason your current strategy is keeping you out of high-level rooms Why your funnel and website won't land corporate deals (and what will) 3 powerful shifts to move from “expert” to “enterprise asset” How to identify the right rooms for real opportunities Exactly what to do to stand out to power players and decision-makers The “value entry strategy” that gets you noticed without pitching Mentioned Resources: My new YouTube video on crafting a corporate-ready bio - https://youtu.be/qrRFAdbAY_E Take the Influence Growth Assessment: https://myinfluencestyle.com Your Next Steps: Ambitious Women: Take our Influence Growth Assessment and discover your unique influence and how to use it to boost your profitability: https://myinfluencestyle.com Follow us on Instagram: http://instagram.com/shaynarattlerdavis Follow us on Facebook: https://facebook.com/shaynarattlerdavis

"If these (people) remained silent, the very stones would cry out." Another shouting stone is the one that sealed the tomb in which Jesus was laid. In its closing, it declared that Jesus was King in death. In its being rolled away, it declared that Jesus is King over death! He is risen!
Moynihan is out with a “tooth thing” (which sounds lame, but is allegedly a “painful,” “very serious” dental emergency that definitely doesn't involve a tall, attractive blonde woman). Fortunately, our pal Jesse Singal (Blocked and Reported, Singal-Minded) is along for the ride, and outlines the plans for his heroic crusade to save THE REPUBLIC by beefing with JD Vance on X. We dive into Trump 2.0's extra-constitutional improvisations, fail to steer clear of trade policy, and search desperately for a silver lining in our late-capitalist, national-populist, increasingly surrealist Idiocracy. Also in the mix: a little Elon drama, libertarian coping strategies, various flavors of executive branch lawlessness, and a surprising outbreak of informed optimism about the future.* Tooth decay, high-end prostitutes, and podcast logistics* Jesse Singal enters the chat (possibly still mid–Twitter beef)* Deportation by executive vibe* Due process is for losers* When JD Met Jesse: A Very Sexy Love Story (by Selena Montgomery)* The most important internet slap-fight in American history* Hotel El Salvador: now accepting unwanted Americans* Bannon's “flood the zone” plan meets sheer incompetence* Shouting at Bill Hemmer* Campus protests, free speech, and DHS interns with tasers* Jesse accidentally agrees with libertarians?* And can Jesse say one nice thing about JD Vance? On an otherwise quiet Wednesday in the village of Abbeylara, County Longford, in April 2000, a man by the name of John Carthy was agitated, pacing his childhood home. Shouting through the window, his cries were barely audible at times over increasing howls of wind. He was armed with a double-barrelled shotgun, which had already been discharged numerous times in the direction of the Gardaí who surrounded the house. By the time Holy Thursday evening arrived, John Carthy would be dead. Mr Carthy, who suffered from bipolar depression and had spent several periods in psychiatric care, fired 30 shots from his home as negotiators tried to mediate with him. The Abbeylara siege, which lasted 25 hours, resulted in Gardai from the ERU discharging four bullets by two separate officers. A judicial inquiry chaired by Mr Justice Robert Barr published a damning report on the Abbeylara siege in 2006. It criticised major shortcomings in the Garda operation, stating that scene commanders had "little training" and "no practical experience" of an armed siege situation. On Palm Sunday, God's people rejoiced in the coming of their Savior with palm branches and crying out, "Hosanna," which means Lord save! These same people days later would reject Him shouting "Crucify Him!" While we might see them with great disdain, we should consider the ways in our lives we tend to reject Christ without even knowing we are doing so; the ways we separate ourselves from Him and turn away from Him. Today these ways are examined along with helpful guidance as to how we might grow out of these patterns in our lives.

Pastor Chris takes us to three distinct events during passion week where the shouting was LOUD... and then it stopped. Using passages from Luke, John and Mark, this message strips away the fluff and leaves you with reality of who Jesus is, why He came to earth and what that should mean to you.

It's a Jesus Christ Superstar moment..."The rocks and stones themselves would start to sing!" Luke's version of the Triumphal Entry is on the pod today. There are no palms, no hosannas, no donkey, but there is resistance, and protest, and challenge all in the shouting and the silence. Both can be sacred and necessary in their moment, and yet both can also be counterproductive in others. How do we know when to lift our voices, and when to be still? Join us for this deep dive into Palm Sunday.
