This feast is memorial of the blowing of trumpets. Trumpets were blown primarily to gather people for a journey, judgment, or battle. When we think about the fall feast pertaining the second advent the way the spring feast pertain to the first advent, then we can surmise that the tribulation could very possibly begin one year on the very day that celebrates the Feast of Trumpets - the 1st day of Tishrie (on the Jewish calendar).

Welcome to Shabbat Lounge! In this video, we share reflections on the Feast of Trumpets and explore the deep spiritual meaning behind the shofar. Whether part of the Torah community, interested in Biblical Fall Feasts, or longing to learn more about Yeshua's return, join us for this timely teaching. As the new season starts, our community gathers even under cloudy skies—no visible moon, just the fellowship, a beautiful sunset, and the powerful sound of the shofar. We celebrate the Creator, our faith, and our journey together. Explore with us how making a shofar mirrors spiritual growth: just as the shofar is set apart, shaped, emptied, and filled with breath, so we are called to be set apart, transformed, and filled with the Ruach. Every step in making a shofar is a reminder of our own spiritual preparation. We dive into Zechariah 14, unveiling key prophecies: the coming day of Yahweh, the dramatic splitting of the Mount of Olives, living water flowing from Jerusalem, and the worldwide gathering during the Festival of Booths. These passages connect the story of Jericho, redemption, Yeshua's return, and hope for Jerusalem. Through everyday experience, scriptural insight, and prayer for Jerusalem and our families, Shabbat Lounge encourages every viewer to prepare for Messiah's return, keep watch, nurture faith community, and live as a set-apart people. If you have a prayer request, please place it in the comments—public or private. We're here to support each other in faith and anticipation. Growing In God Podcast Program Number: GIG #269 Title: The Feast of Trumpets   Web Description: The Feast of Trumpets was a holy convocation, a day of celebration and rest, when all of Israel came up to Jerusalem to meet with God in anticipation that He was going to do something. This is now called Rosh Hashanah, and it is celebrated as the Jewish New Year's Day. This appointed time has yet to be fulfilled in Christ, leaving the world to wonder what it will mean when the divine trumpet blows.   Show Notes: What God is doing in most of the feasts is clear. For example, Passover commemorates the blood of the lamb on the doorposts in Egypt that saved the Hebrew people from the death angel. What God is doing in the Feast of Trumpets is less clear. It is a holy convocation. It is a Sabbath rest. It is a day when trumpets are blown. But why?   The Feast of Trumpets is a day of celebration—the Hebrew word is zikkaron—which means a “memorial” as well as a “remembrance” or “reminder.” Each year this celebration memorializes God coming to earth on Mount Sinai where He announced His presence with the blast of a trumpet. We also remember God's promise that He will once again return to the earth with the sound of a trumpet.   Today we look forward to that trumpet which has not yet sounded, but no one knows the day or the hour. So our response is to be prepared. The trumpet blast alerts us to the promise of Messiah's return. May this prophetic cry be always on our lips: “Come, Yeshua. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on this earth as it is in heaven.”   Key Verses:   •       Leviticus 23:23–25. “You shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.” •       Leviticus 23:24. “A holy convocation … a reminder by blowing of trumpets.” •       Numbers 29:1. “It will be a day to you for blowing trumpets.” •       Exodus 19:19. “When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him with thunder.” •       1 Thessalonians 4:16. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God.” •       Matthew 24:29-42. “And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet.” •       Revelation 22:20. “Yes, I come quickly!”   Quotes:   •       “So when we look at most of the appointed times or the feasts, the fasts, the celebrations that God appointed, it's very clear what it is that Israel was celebrating. Not so with the Feast of Trumpets. •       “That's what a trumpet blast is for: to get your attention.” •       “Now to me those are two very distinct things, and I think in the Feast of Trumpets both are taking place. We are to have a memorial and a reminder. A memorial is a celebration of something that took place historically. You build a monument; you memorialize an event in history. A reminder to me is more of something you are looking forward to. I have to remind myself of my to-do list, something I am supposed to do. So both of these really take place during Trumpets.”   Takeaways:   1.    We anticipate the Feast of Trumpets because its fulfillment in Christ has not yet transpired. 2.    The Feast of Trumpets is to get our attention and keep us alert. 3.    Our response is to always be on the alert. Watch! 4.    We should cry out, “Come, Lord Jesus!”

Rosh HaShanah begins at sundown on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025 and ends on Wednesday Sept. 24 2025. This begin the Jewish year 5786According to traditional Jewish thinking, this holiday honors the creation of mankind by Elohim. The Mishnah (earlier part of the Talmud) refers to Rosh Hashanah as the “Day of Judgment” (Yom ha-Din) since all of creation owes allegiance to the Creator and is accountable to Him. The name Elohim revealed in Genesis 1:1 speaks of Elohim as the Creator and Judge of the universe. In Jewish tradition on Rosh Hashanah we stand before Yahweh as our personal Creator and Judge. Many Messianic Jews believe that the sound of the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah is a symbol of the 2nd coming of the followers of Yahshua MessiahIn Hebrew, Rosh Hashanah means, literally, "Head of the Year," and as its name indicates, it is the beginning of the Jewish year. The days beginning with Rosh HaShana and ending with Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) are known as “The Days of Awe.” This is a very special time of year on the Jewish calendar, a time of introspection and commitment to self-improvement for the coming year. Most of all, this is the season for repentance, prayer, and charity, as illustrated by the quotation above - since we are taught that these three things have the power to influence the outcome of our judgment in a favorable way. We are taught that on Rosh Hashana, Yahweh sits in judgment on all His creations and decides their fate. Everything is decided on this day, for every aspect of the entire creation, each individual and each nation. The Prophets of Israel repeatedly spoke of a future day when Yahweh would directly intervene in the affairs of men. They called that day “The Day of the Lord” [Isa. 13:6-13; Ezek. 13:3-8; Joel 1:15, 2:1; Amos 5:18-20; Zeph. 1:7-2:3; Zech 14:1-21; Mal. 4:5-6]. Two major themes are associated with the Day of the Lord. The first is the deliverance of the righteous. The second is the judgment of the wicked, in connection with His coming. The Son of Yahweh will call His own to Himself and then go to war against His enemies. It is the blowing of a Trumpet, which will signal those 2 events. In Paul's writing of 1 Thess. 4:16, the Lord will descend with the sound of the trumpet to call His own to His presence and in Chapter 5 Paul continues the thought, on the day of the Lord as it commences, during which time His wrath will be poured out against the wicked. In most basic terms, the Feast of Trumpets, the first of the Fall Feasts, which Yahweh gave to Israel, depicts the coming of Yahshua Messiah to take His virgin bride with Him into that eternal life, in that new Heaven and Earth! Perhaps one further thought is appropriate at this point. The Feast Trumpets occurs on the 1st day of the Hebrew 7th month Tisri. It would occur at the new moon. However clouds could obscure the moon and witnesses were required. Watchfulness was critical ingredient of this Feast. The Rabbis later added a second day to this Feast to make sure they did not miss it. This need for watchfulness and preparedness in connection with the Feast of Trumpets is echoed throughout the N.T. in connection with the Lord's coming. Watch, therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. [Matt. 24:42]Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober minded [1 Thess. 5:6]We know in the Parable of the Tares [Matt. 13] the harvest takes place in the fall. The reapers [angels] are sent forth to separate the wheat from the tares [zowan]. We read in Rev. 9:10 [read verses 3-10] about the locust army. [May-Sept.]The primary focus of the Feast of Trumpets is the return of Yahshua Messiah to this earth. The emphasis of this Trumpet Feast is mostly prophetic. Have any questions? Endure Sound Doctrine: Walking Upstream in the Last Days | KIB 496 Kingdom Intelligence Briefing Description In Kingdom Intelligence Briefing #496, Dr. Michael & Mary Lou Lake call the remnant to endure sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4) and reject the avalanche of error sweeping the modern church. From hermeneutics (exegesis vs. eisegesis) to functional kingdom theology, they unpack how to live the ultimate counterculture—holy, steadfast, and free from Babylon's influence. Includes intercession, ministry updates, biblical correction done in love, and a closing prayer commissioning the remnant to walk the King's Highway. Stephanie invites you today to spice up your faith by exploring unexpected connections between two great feasts. She dives deep into the intertwined celebrations of Pentecost in the Christian tradition, and Shavuot in the Jewish faith. Both festivals are celebrated 50 days post-Easter and Passover respectively, and invite us to reconnect with themes of gratitude, thanksgiving, and divine revelation. Through the enduring cycles of joy, preparation, and revelation, both Shavuot and Pentecost call believers into a deeper understanding of divine grace and the cyclical journey of faith. You can purchase the Spring Feasts workbook to take notes while you listen, including the gorgeous visuals we created to accompany your experience: https://www.gospelspice.com/offers/ct6coMYd In the Christian liturgical calendar, Pentecost, celebrated on June 8, 2025, mirrors Shavuot's setting—50 days after the major religious observances of Easter and Passover. It marks the momentous occasion when the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus's followers, empowering us to spread the gospel. God's presence attributes joy and delight to Pentecost, making it a critical event that signifies the birth of the church and believers' empowerment. Shavuot, or the Feast of Weeks, concludes a significant period of anticipation following Passover. Observers commemorate this festival by reading the Ten Commandments and partaking in the harvest of wheat, lauded as the superior grain. Symbolically, Shavuot represents the culmination of the spring feasts, and includes the unique preparation of two loaves of leavened wheat bread, symbolizing humanity's sinful nature. Celebrated with offerings, figs, olive oil, and more, Shavuot is a joyous occasion steeped in history and spirituality. Stephanie discusses these celebrations as a "rehearsal dinner" for the future wedding banquet, the final joyous gathering in Christ's return. This celebration encapsulates both preparation and revelation, drawing a parallel to the Israelites' three days of preparation to receive the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. The festival's ladder-shaped challah symbolizes Moses' ascent to receive the Law, while its inclusion of yeast signifies the sinful nature that, through divine grace, will be fully redeemed. Central to both Shavuot and Pentecost, is the theme of harvest. The gathering of wheat represents the process of evangelism. As believers are sanctified through trials, they are refined wheat, ready for offering and transforming into the spiritual bread of life. In the same vein, Pentecost is a reminder of the Great Commission—empowering believers to go forth and harvest souls for the kingdom of God. Christ embodies the fulfillment of Shavuot. Just as Shavuot celebrates God's revelation to Moses, Pentecost commemorates the Holy Spirit's descension, ushering a new covenant. This underscores a deeper spiritual truth: the festival of Shavuot rehearses the believers' ultimate communion with God, transcending into a season of salvation heralded by Jesus' coming. Stephanie highlights a fascinating contrast between Jewish and Western traditions: the Jewish cyclical view of time versus the Western linear perspective. Shavuot, celebrated from sundown on June 1 to nightfall on June 3, 2025, emphasizes the end of the spring harvest—a marker in the cyclical liturgical calendar that heralds a pause until the fall feasts. Meanwhile, the Western tradition tends to perceive time as linear, steadily moving towards a future point. This cyclical nature of the Jewish liturgical calendar offers hope and progress, especially during periods that may seem monotonous. After the spring feasts conclude, the Jewish calendar enters a four-month period without festive observances until Rosh Hashanah. Stephanie encourages believers to view these "ordinary" times as infused with the joy and anticipation of Shavuot and Pentecost, reflecting the Christian longing between Christ's first and second comings. This period is an invitation to embody thankfulness, evangelism, and charity, preparing for the ultimate harvest in the final gathering.
