The opening of Revelation 4, where John is commanded "Come up hither" and sees twenty-four elders (believed to represent the Church) in heaven, is often cited by pre-tribulation proponents as evidence that the Church is removed before the Tribulation begins. This position is classically supported by the idea that believers are "not appointed to wrath" (referring to God's judgment during the Tribulation). However, the teaching notes that the lack of explicit mention of the Church on earth from Revelation 4 through 19 causes debate, leading to differing views on whether the rapture is pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, or post-tribulation. The confusion is attributed to a lack of consensus on the precise definitions of key terms like "day of wrath" and "day of the Lord," and the misapplication of individual scriptural verses without considering the Bible's overall theme on the subject. The transcription specifically examines the arguments for a post-tribulation rapture, a view that suggests the rapture and the Second Coming of Christ are a single event occurring at the end of the seven years. Post-tribulationists argue that the rapture described in Matthew 24:29-31 occurs immediately after the tribulation of those days, when the angels gather the elect. They also point to 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, which states the change will happen "at the last trumpet," arguing this is the seventh trumpet judgment in Revelation 11:15, which marks the transition to the kingdom of Christ and the judgment of rewards (the Bema Seat). The speaker suggests that the most reasonable way to reconcile all these seemingly contradictory scriptures is to consider the possibility of two raptures: one for the Church before the Tribulation, and a second for the Tribulation Saints at the end of the period, concluding that neither single-rapture school holds the complete truth.
Gary and Kim Burgess conclude their discussion of 1 Corinthians 15. In verse 52, the Apostle Paul mentions "the last trumpet" and in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 he also connects the last trumpet with a "shout." Trumpets and shouts should remind us of Jericho, and Kim brings up many other verses in the Old and New Testaments that help us to understand what Paul is teaching in 1 Cor 15.

By Kelly Irvin - The description of the last trumpet culminates God's terrible wrath against sin, but in it is also an incredible revelation fulfilled for God's people.
Episode Notes The sound of the trumpet is a Song of Deliverance for believers, a moment of joy marking the return of the Messiah and the arrival of His New Kingdom. But it also has a double-meaning: For the world, the trumpet is a Song of Judgment. The Feast of Trumpets is the moment in time where human life intersects with one of two eternities. The question is, what will the Heavenly Trumpet sound like, for you? Support Rise on Fire Ministries by contributing to their tip jar: https://tips.pinecast.com/jar/rise-on-fireRead transcript
Rosh Hashanah begins at Sundown on September 22 this year. Traditionally the Feast is called the Jewish New Year, though in the BIble the feast is Yom Teruah, the Day of the Blowing of the Shofar, (the feast of Trumpets.)
She was sought as a bride by many because of her exceptional beauty and wisdom as well as her noble birth. She was betrothed at a young age, and when her betrothed died, she refused to consider any more suitors, saying that since her betrothed was alive in Christ, it was not right for her to turn to another. Instead she turned to a life of virginity, ascetic struggle and prayer. She greatly influenced her younger brothers, turning them from worldly things to monastic life. She established a monastery and, with her mother Emilia, became a nun. She reposed in peace in 379. Her brother St Gregory of Nyssa held her in special honor. He was present at her death and gave a moving oration at her funeral. He describes how, in her last moments, she prayed thus to God: 'Thou, O Lord, givest rest to our bodies in the sleep of death for a little time, then Thou wilt waken them again with the Last Trumpet. Forgive me, and grant that, when my soul is parted from my body, it may be presented before Thee stainless and without sin, and that it may be as incense before Thee.' Then she made the sign of the Cross on her brow, eyes, face and heart, and died. St Gregory's work on the resurrection of the dead (available in English as On the Soul and Resurrection) is cast in the form of a dialogue between himself and his sister Macrina in which he is the earnest but ignorant student and she the wise and patient teacher. So do the Saints honor the Saints.

Are we ready for the trumpet's call? This message delves into the rapture of the church, drawing fascinating parallels between Jewish wedding customs and Christ's return. The Feast of Trumpets, with its unexpected timing and urgent call to preparedness, serves as a poignant reminder of our need to be spiritually alert.
The pre-tribulation rapture doctrine is a widely accepted belief, but what does the Bible truly say about Christ's return? In this deep dive into 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and other key scriptures, Coach Shaw challenges the popular notion of a secret, pre-tribulational rapture, arguing that it's a relatively new teaching with dangerous implications for believers.Drawing on Greek word definitions and contextual biblical interpretation, this video meticulously debunks common misinterpretations, revealing a powerful and visible return of Christ as a conquering King, not a quiet snatching away. Learn why understanding the timing of the rapture is crucial for preparing yourself and your family for the days ahead. In this eye-opening message, you'll discover:The true meaning of "Keleusma" (Commanding Shout): Uncover why this Greek word, used to describe Christ's return, signifies a military command and not a secret departure. The "Perusia" of the King: Understand the ancient meaning of "coming" and "arrival" as a visible, royal procession, not a hidden event. Why God's People "Remain": Explore the significance of being "alive and remain" through tribulation, preparing to meet Christ. The Last Trumpet's Significance: Learn how biblical references to the "last trumpet" clearly point to the end of the age, not a prior rapture. The Purpose of the Righteous' Ascent: Understand that the gathering of believers into the air is to escort Christ to His conquered earth, not to escape. The Problem with a "Sneak Away" Jesus: Contemplate the character implications of a pre-tribulational rapture for Jesus's relationship with His Bride.Preparing for the Future: Recognize the vital importance of being prepared to face tribulation, rather than expecting to avoid it.Don't be unprepared! Farleigh Hungerford Castle, once a symbol of chivalric might, conceals within its shattered walls a tapestry of gruesome events and tragic tales. Picture a castle built in 1380, its turrets standing proud under the stewardship of Sir Thomas Hungerford, the First Speaker of the House of Commons. But as the Wars of the Roses unfolded, disaster struck the Hungerford family, and the castle passed through the hands of kings and traitors alike. It witnessed a Lady imprisoned in the eerie Lady Tower, accused of unspeakable crimes, and a Lord beheaded for treachery and sorcery. Anthropoid Coffins In the crypt beneath the marvellous castle chapel are eight sinister-looking lead caskets. Known technically as anthropoid coffins, they contain the remains of Sir Edward Hungerford III (d.1648) and the family of his successor, Sir Edward Hungerford IV (the ‘Spendthrift'), who had to sell Farleigh in 1686. These coffins contain embalmed bodies, pickled in spirit, and their body-shaped forms enabled the physical remains to be kept together after death, and preserved intact, ready for resurrection at the sounding of the Last Trumpet. In this episode, you will be able to: 1. Examine the history of the castle. 2. Discover some of the dark history, ghosts and macabre practices associated with the castle.
