The Efficient Advisor: Tactical Business Advice for Financial Planners
If you think AI in your advisory practice means meeting notes, follow-up emails, and asking ChatGPT to write something for you, we need to talk. Because what AI can do inside of an advisory practice has changed dramatically—and I think most of us are still thinking way too small.AI for financial advisors has moved far beyond note-taking, meeting summaries, and drafting follow-up emails. In this episode, I'm joined by Gabe to explore the next evolution: agentic AI and what it looks like when AI stops being another piece of software you have to manage and starts operating more like a digital team member working behind the scenes. We dig into how Quinn has evolved, the difference between traditional AI tools and agentic AI, and the practical ways advisors are using automation to give themselves and their teams back significant time each week. The difference between AI tools and agentic AIWhat advisors can automate right nowHow AI can help you “scale thoughtfulness” with clientsWhere to start before automating your processesThe goal isn't necessarily to replace your team with AI. It's to stop spending valuable human time hunting down information, entering data, filling out forms, and handling repetitive administrative work so you and your team can focus on the work that actually requires a human. If you've been thinking about AI primarily as a note-taker or writing assistant, this conversation will give you a much bigger picture of what's already possible—and what could be coming next for your advisory practice.Register for The Efficient Advisor x Quin: Workflow Show and Tell HERE! In this episode of Iron Sights, Scott sits down with Anthony Coley of Aegis Consulting at the Texas Tactical Police Officers Association Conference in Round Rock, Texas to unpack one of the most detailed, honest, and actionable roadmaps for changing firearms culture at the agency level you will ever hear.Anthony walks through everything: the professional class taker problem, how competition shooting cracked open his understanding of real-world performance, and why getting bit by the PCSL bug turned into a mission to drag as many officers with him as possible. He does not pull punches about the resistance he faced from inside his own firearms unit, the admin conversations he had to be fully loaded for, and why good enough has never been good enough to him. This is the debrief you wish you could have with the guy quietly grinding in the background of every department while everyone else is doing the bare minimum. And then Kim Pastore Pastore walks in. The founder of the Jorge Pastore Foundation joins Scott and Anthony live on the floor to drop a major announcement: Anthony Coley is officially the Foundation's new Director of Training. The conversation that follows is equal parts raw and inspiring, built on a shared belief that the ripple effects of good training touch officers and families in ways you will never fully see. The legacy match, the PCSL monthly shoots at Texas Shooting Academy, the nationwide reach: it is all coming. And this episode is where it starts. In this episode:• The professional class taker trap: Anthony explains how taking course after course without deliberate instructor-mode observation turns into diminishing returns, and how flipping that lens into instructor development makes every class exponentially more valuable• Competition as a gunfight simulator: Anthony breaks down hit factor math from his first match, showing exactly why a slower shooter with cleaner hits still loses to a faster shooter with acceptable hits, and why that calculus maps directly to real threat encounters• The survey before the pitch: before approaching administration, Anthony personally talked to every officer in the agency one on one, built a spreadsheet of who had red dots, who had zero formal training on them, and compiled case law on liability before walking into the chief's office armed with an answer for every possible question• The cookie cutter problem in firearms instruction: Anthony's baking analogy makes the case that a single teaching method guarantees you will always produce students missing an arm, and that instructor development means accumulating 20 different ways to explain the same concept• Inside the Red Dot class: 400 rounds, five hard-fought hours, aggressive trigger manipulation drills starting cold with zero classroom warmup, self-diagnosis doubles, and a final volley at 25 yards where exhausted officers shoot the best groups of their lives• Building up instead of down: Anthony explains why he went to line-level officers first, then patrol shift lieutenants, then commanders, then administration, so that demand for training was already visible before he ever made a formal ask• The Legacy Match origin story: a customer service mistake on an optic plate, a single giveaway stage, 24 brands cold-called into donating prizes, and a sold-out 100-person law enforcement only PCSL match that spawned a monthly series at Texas Shooting Academy in Florence, TexasChapters:0:03 Episode intro and Scott's mission statement0:59 Setting the scene: TTPOA Conference1:26 Introducing Anthony Coley and Aegis Consulting2:20 Anthony's background: CHP, Texas, canine, and the training gap5:20 The professional class taker problem9:08 Getting into competition shooting12:25 Competition as a gunfight simulator: hit factor explained15:35 Confidence, competency, and isolating deficiencies through competition22:32 How the Legacy Match started by accident26:23 Anthony's backstory: broken leg, CHP academy, and training mentality56:07 Building the case for agency red dot training1:28:04 Kim Pastore joins: announcing Anthony as JPF Director of TrainingMentioned:Anthony Coley — Guest, law enforcement officer, canine handler, PCSL competitor, firearms instructor, and founder of Aegis Consulting, announced as the Jorge Pastore Foundation's Director of Training during this episode.Gabe Rivera — Active California LE SWAT officer and instructor at Mindset Tactical Solutions, credited with introducing Anthony to the term 'professional class taker' and referenced as an upcoming guest on Iron Sights.Rick Crawley — Founder and chief instructor of Achilles Heel Tactical, whose dinner conversation pushed Anthony to stop waiting and start shooting competitions immediately.Dave Mehulma — Instructor from Slick Training Solutions who taught the intro to competitive shooting class where Anthony was first invited to shoot a live match.Kim Pastore — Founder of the Jorge Pastore Foundation, who surprised Anthony on air to announce his appointment as Director of Training for the foundation.Jorge Pastore — Austin PD SWAT officer killed in the line of duty whose legacy inspired the foundation; Anthony had made an Instagram post honoring him that first connected him with Kim Pastore Pastore.Paul Costa — Contact who connected Anthony with Ron from Walther, helping secure demo guns for the agency demo day that eventually snowballed into the Legacy Match.Jordan — Owner and representative of Ryze manufacturer, whose accidental shipment of a wrong optic plate sparked the idea for Anthony's first competition giveaway stage.Aaron — Owner of Texas Shooting Academy, described as a big three-gun and competition shooter, who signed up for the Legacy Match and whose facility hosts the monthly PCSL matches.Eric Foss — Associated with Howitzer, running competitions and working alongside Gabe Rivera to give back to the law enforcement community in Southern California.Rafael — Prior Iron Sights guest from Northern California who competed at a Howitzer match and performed very well, helping spread competition culture in his region.

Are you tired of feeling like you have to "fix" yourself before you can truly belong? In this message from 1 John 4, we explore how the gospel meets our deepest needs for community, strength, and purpose. Discover how being fully known and loved by Christ frees you from the burden of self-reliance and invites you into a life where His love flows through you to others. You were made for community, and your weakness is exactly where God's power works best.FOR GROUP DISCUSSION & REFLECTION:1. What's 1 thing you learned today about the character and nature of God? Why is that significant to you?2. Which of the three “types” from the sermon—Floater, Taker, or Fixer—do you most identify with, and why? How does the gospel specifically speak to that tendency?3. Where have you personally experienced Jesus' love through another believer? How did that shape your faith?4. 1 John 4:19 states “We love each other because He first loved us.” Why is this important for us to understand?5. Who is one specific person God may be inviting you to intentionally love this week? What is one concrete way you can let Christ's love flow through you to them?+ + + + +Hey, while you're here, please help Generation by clicking the 'Subscribe' button, then click on the BELL

What is business actually for? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach challenge Christian men to rethink money, purpose, faith, and Kingdom impact. Too many people treat business as a way to take from others, even inside the Christian world, instead of building something that serves people and advances the Kingdom. Garrett draws a sharp contrast between living from the Kingdom and living for the Kingdom: one asks, “What can I get?” The other asks, “What can I build, solve, serve, and sacrifice for?”This conversation exposes the difference between chasing profit and creating real value. Garrett explains that the purpose of a business is not just to make money; money is fuel, not the mission. A business exists to solve a problem, serve people, and accomplish a mission. For Christian men in business, the deeper question is not simply how to make more money, build an audience, or grow a company. The question is whether your work is rooted in integrity, faith, service, excellence, and a God-defined purpose.Nick and Garrett unpack what it means to become a Kingdom builder in the marketplace: build something excellent, serve real people, solve a real problem, and be willing to sacrifice when obedience costs you. This episode is a call for fathers, entrepreneurs, leaders, and men of faith to stop making life and business about themselves. If you want to live with purpose, masculinity, and Kingdom conviction, the challenge is simple but demanding: What are you building? Who are you serving? And what are you willing to sacrifice?Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

In this message, special speaker Pastor Gabe George walks us through Genesis 22 and shows how every gift God gives us comes with the same question. Do you trust the Giver, or do you trust the gift? Drawing from Hebrews 11:6 and Genesis 22, this sermon will reframe how you see God's goodness, and what He's actually doing when He asks you to open your hand.Whether you're holding tightly to something God has given you, wrestling with a sacrifice He's asking you to make, or wondering if His goodness is something you can actually count on, this message will remind you that God is never a Taker. He is only a Giver.

In this episode, John and Arvin discuss the importance of developing healthy friendships while serving God and others in ministry. They note the difference between a “Giver” and “Taker” as it pertains to social dynamics and make their best attempt at granting listeners a sense of permission to slow down and be grateful for the people and life God has already given them. For those who'd say they've received nothing and no one from God, they offer an easy-to-implement solution that may shift a person from loneliness to a place of knowing/being known.

Turn your executive assistant into a true strategic partner- not just task support. In this video, I break down the 4-step framework I've used to move an executive assistant from reactive task taker to proactive strategic partner. I share the mistakes I made early on as a CEO, how that limited both me and my EA, and what changed once I started giving real ownership over inbox, calendar, and priorities. I also walk through the exact tools and rhythms that helped me get back 20–40 hours a week, protect my energy, and create more leverage inside the business. If you're a CEO who feels like you're still the bottleneck, this will show you how to build an EA relationship that gives you real freedom instead of just more delegation. Teachhoops.com WintheSeason.com Every team has talent. Every team has a plan. But the hidden difference-maker is ENERGY. And it starts with the adults. In this episode, we break down a simple question that can change your season fast: When you walk into the gym, do you raise the energy… or drain it? You'll learn the clear signs of an energy giver (language, body posture, tone, standards, responses to mistakes) and the sneaky habits of an energy taker (sarcasm, constant criticism, “here we go again” vibes, and coaching from frustration). The best part? This isn't about being “rah-rah.” It's about being steady, clear, and intentional—especially when your team is struggling. We also talk about how to build an “energy system” in your program: quick pre-practice resets, a next-play response, and how to set the expectation that every player is responsible for the emotional temperature of the gym. If you want your team to play freer, tougher, and more connected—this is the episode. CoachingYouthHoops.com https://forms.gle/kQ8zyxgfqwUA3ChU7 Coach Collins Coaching Store Check out.
