Steve shared a profound message that linked the Presence of God to the Face of God:• Three keys Moses models, if we want to know His Presence: (i) understand our poverty (our mission is impossible without him); (ii) be willing to change (move from the familiar); (iii) be willing to be used by him (be a river, not a dam).• Now, something greater than Moses is here, and we are invited to “draw near to him, and he will draw near to us,” face to face. This was followed by a reflective time of journaling and prayer, asking key questions like, "What do I need to lay down?" and "How do you want to use me, Lord?"

Today we consider God as Elohiym, a God of power and might. In the book of John, we learn ‘Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.' Such a singular and complete statement. All that exists was made by God. Light, life, love, our world, and the universe. In His was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. Light is life - the essence of us and of God. Come and listen to the truth about Elohiym, our great God above all gods. Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Even more than the composition of the church, the church is beautiful because of the way those in the church are to live. This week, we come to part one of our study in Titus 2:1-10. These verses are all about how every individual in the church is to live in accordance with God's Word to show off the beauty of God's work and word. This week we will see: How older saints reflect the beauty of God Three key observations about the importance of churches being intergenerational
We are a people who are chosen by the Father, redeemed by the Son and sealed by the Spirit.
One God, Three Judgments with Scott Bowman
Surrendering to God: Easier Said Than Done? We often hear about the power of surrendering to God, but in practice, it's a struggle, isn't it? The story of Moses and his staff in Exodus 4 challenges our modern-day leadership perceptions. In Reality: Moses' staff was more than a tool; it symbolized his identity, income, and influence. When he surrendered it to God, it became a conduit for miracles. Today, this calls for us to rethink what surrender truly means in our lives and leadership. Reframe Your Leadership with Surrender: · Rethink Your Identity · Trust God with Your Wealth · Yield Your Influence · Embrace Faith Over Control · Seek Divine Purpose in Leadership Conclusion: Surrender isn't about losing who we are or what we have; it's about transforming them for a higher purpose. A new MP3 sermon from Christ Church Presbyterian is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: God Three In One Subtitle: The Trinity Speaker: John Blevins III Broadcaster: Christ Church Presbyterian Event: Sunday - AM Date: 11/5/2023 Bible: Ephesians 2:18 Length: 35 min.
Our series continues on doctrines we must stand firm upon. In this message, Derek shows us the Biblical teaching of the Trinity (One God in three persons) and why it matters for us to understand and live according to God's example.
Three Association is honored to host spiritual director and supervisor Fiona Koefoed-Jespersen in a dialogue about what it's like as both a director and supervisor in holding the possibilities and potentials of a feminine image of God. Reflecting on questions that might emerge for both director and supervisor, Fiona offers wise reflections as to why supervision matters in this rich conversation.
What is the Trinity and what does it matter? This morning before we focus more specifically, in the weeks ahead, on understanding who the Holy Spirit is and what He does, we must first understand the person of the Holy Spirit in the context of God's revelation of Himself as three in one, or One God in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
It is our privilege to know God as He is: one God existing eternally in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
"How do I preach the gospel? What if I'm not good at it? As messengers of the good news of Jesus Christ, we all need to start somewhere. Whether it's leading a devotional in a small group, volunteering as a Sunday School teacher, or sharing your testimony at an outreach event—these are places to grow your skills and practice preaching. I've been consistently preaching for a year. I'm getting my reps in with writing and delivering sermons, and I'm grateful to my church for the opportunity. If you're like me, you might feel a bit foolish as a beginner preacher—but don't let this discourage you. Here are three lessons learned after one year of preaching." Jesus cracks open the Jewish concept of God and reveals something about God's nature that we would not have anticipated. But why does it matter? And what difference does it make in everyday life?
Pastor Stephen Thee continues the “Fundamentals" series with this message called "Blessed Trinity: One God | Three Persons".
The one true God of the Bible, from beginning to end, has been chasing down His creation to reconcile a broken relationship with a sinful people. And, ever since the beginning, He has had a plan of redemption for us. As we see this plan unfold, we see three distinct persons of God, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. All three wholly and fully God, yet all three described individually and in depth in His Word. How can we reconcile this reality and who are the three persons of God?

There's this core concept in Christianity called ‘the Trinity'. It's the idea that our singular God somehow exists in three separate forms. If just the thought of that sort-of scrambles your brain, you're not alone. Why did God choose to reveal Himself this way? How are these identities intertwined? Why are all three essential? Why did the Father see the need to send the Son? And why did the son see the need to send the Spirit? God wants to have a multidimensional relationship with us. What do these roles tell us about how that relationship works?
Fr. Jacob Mlakar delivers this month's Coffee and Catechesis, speaking about what God reveals to us about Himself and how the Church over time came to reject erroneous preaching and falsehoods. It is imperative that we come to right belief in who God is, because we are created to *know*, love, and serve Him.
Life is short. Life is repetitive. Life can be difficult. Ecclesiastes teaches us that life is just a breath. Knowing that, all of our work and efforts and striving can leave us feeling empty - which is exactly what the writer intends. This book compels us to understand the emptiness of our short, repetitive, difficult lives, so that we can fill ourselves with eternal truths. Empty cups aren't a bad thing - They're just waiting to be filled. So how do we approach this life from a Biblical perspective? How do we "fill our cups"? Solomon, the writer of Ecclesiastes encourages us with this overarching theme - “Don't just think in the now – because now will be gone soon. Focus on forever. That's what really matters. Remember God in everything you do. Enjoy life, and enjoy God.”

We all have questions about God that we may have been told we shouldn't ask. But a faith that can't handle questions is a fragile faith. Jesus invited questions, so we're exploring three common questions about God that must be asked if we want to know God better.

In this hymn of praise, David reflects on the glory of God in natural revelation (1 - 6), and the glory of God's law as God's special revelation (7-11), which alone meets man's spiritual needs.
We know we should obey God. He is God Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. He is love. He is powerful. He is the best of the best in absolutely all ways. And yet, sometimes our flesh tries to convince us that God doesn't know best. That obedience isn't best. That we'll do it later, or we need to think about it more, or we're underqualified, or we're overqualified. Satan tries to distract us everyday, to take our eyes off of honouring God and walking in God's plans for our lives. Today let's marvel at the majesty of God, discuss three testimonies of radical obedience, chat about how obedience has affected my walk with The Yay Project this season, and encourage each other to get right with God and obey him today. *** Follow along for daily encouragement!
