I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.1.     The sermon opens with the image of a bent writing finger — your body shaped by what you've given it to. Are there ways you can see yourself being shaped by what you've given your time and attention to, for better or worse?2.     Where in your own life have you felt most confident you were thinking for yourself, only to realize later you were absorbing a particular culture or story?3.     Paul appeals to transformation "in view of God's mercies" — not as a demand, but as a response to compassion. Is that the frame you typically operate from when you think about changing your life? What tends to crowd it out?4.     What feels transactional in your life? Does a relationship with God ever feel transactional?5.     If you are interested in being transformed by God, what role can your body play in that?

Wednesday's podcast proves that just knowing a lot about your business doesn't mean that you necessarily have any idea how to talk intelligently about your business in your marketing. The tendency, for most business owners, is to start spewing platitudes instead of really getting down to telling their story. Rich is going to share with you a letter from the owner of a roofing company that got basically NO results… and you'll quickly hear why. Rich takes and completely resurrects the letter and makes it so it actually WORKS.

Has anyone seen Immigration Minister Lena Diab lately? She has not been visible as of late and many including her colleagues inside the Federal Liberal party have taken notice. Extreme Makeover: Foundation Inspection (Matthew 4:1–11) We live in a culture obsessed with image, improvement, and quick transformation. But Jesus' version of an "extreme makeover" begins not with a spotlight, but with solitude. In this first message of the Lenten series, we follow Jesus into the wilderness, where hunger, silence, and temptation reveal what truly holds a life together. Through the three temptations—appetite, performance, and control—we are invited to examine the foundations of our own lives. What sustains us when we are empty? Do we seek approval to secure our identity? What do we worship when no one is looking? Lent is not about surface change. It is about Spirit-led formation. Join us as we begin this journey of deep, honest transformation—allowing God to rebuild us from the inside out.

In this Ash Wednesday message, Rev. Dr. Jefferson M. Furtado reflects on the early days of the COVID-19 shutdown — a moment when the world unexpectedly paused. In that quiet stillness, we were confronted with our limits, our vulnerabilities, and our shared humanity. Ash Wednesday offers us that same sacred pause. "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return" are not words of shame, but grounding. They remind us that we are human, that we are not in control, and that beneath our busyness lies a deeper invitation from God. This sermon invites us into the Lenten journey — not as a season of spiritual performance, but as a time for honest reflection, humility, and renewal. In the pause, we discover something both sobering and hopeful: We are dust. We are loved. And even from dust, God is creating something new.

In this episode, we audit the Project X Amazon ads account's bidding rules, keyword harvesting, placements, dayparting, AMC audiences, and retargeting to lift profit.   Bradley goes live from London for an “Amazon Ads Account Extreme Makeover Workshop,” bringing in PPC expert Vincenzo Toscano of Ecomcy to audit Helium 10's real Project X Amazon Ads account. The twist: Project X has been run more like a testing playground than a growth-focused brand, so while it's still producing sales, there's a long list of modern PPC levers that haven't been fully pulled. Together, they break down what's working, what's outdated, and what changes could quickly improve both sales efficiency and profitability.   We begin with Bradley's rule-based PPC management within Helium 10 Ads, utilizing ACoS “bands” to incrementally adjust bids, pausing targets with repeated non-performance, and establishing keyword harvesting rules to transfer proven search terms into high-performing campaigns. Vincenzo confirms the logic and adds key guardrails: add minimum click/spend thresholds before rules fire, keep campaigns tight, and avoid overreacting to small data. They also dig into keyword harvesting best practices, why immediate search term isolation can backfire, and why conversion rate benchmarks matter (because you can't “pay your way” into a keyword if your listing can't convert).   From there, the makeover focuses on high-impact upgrades, including dayparting and budget scheduling based on historical performance, placement optimization (top of search vs. product pages), and why placements become far more powerful once you transition to single-keyword campaigns. Vincenzo then highlights the biggest “new-school” opportunity, Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) audiences, so you can bid more aggressively only when shoppers match high-intent behaviors (like past purchasers or add-to-cart users). The episode concludes with actionable advice on Sponsored Display retargeting, refreshing video creatives to prevent burnout, utilizing storefront landing pages to minimize competitor distraction, and a plan to implement changes on Project X and report back with tangible results. In episode 485 of the AM/PM Podcast, Bradley and Vincenzo discuss: 00:00 - Introduction 02:03 - Project X Account Backstory And Purpose 06:39 - ACoS Bid Rules And Logic 09:47 - Minimum Click Thresholds Recommended 13:36 - Keyword Harvesting Rules And Flow 15:24 - Keep Five Keywords Per Campaign 17:12 - Avoid Search Term Isolation 19:52 - Dayparting And Budget Scheduling Tips 22:33 - Placement Optimization Quick Wins 31:42 - Amazon Marketing Cloud Audience Targeting 40:04 - Sponsored Display Defense And Retargeting 52:22 - When To Use Product Video Ads

From the "arrogance" of the pitching lab to the heartbreak of Pete Alonso signing with Baltimore, fans are questioning if David Stearns' "vision" is just a Milwaukee-style downgrade. Moose also tackles the Yankees' reliance on the home run, longing for the days of high-average contact hitters like those on the Blue Jays' roster. Finally, the energy shifts to the hardwood with a look at the Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Knicks rumors and a reality check on whether the Knicks should actually be proud of their NBA Cup win.

QUOTES FOR REFLECTION“This kingdom of God life is not a matter of waking up each morning with a list of chores or an agenda to be tended to, left on our bedside table by the Holy Spirit for us while we slept. We wake up already immersed in a large story of creation and covenant, of Israel and Jesus, the story of Jesus and the stories that Jesus told. We let ourselves be formed by these formative stories, and especially as we listen to the stories that Jesus tells, get a feel for the way he does it, the way he talks, the way he treats people, the Jesus way.”~Eugene H. Peterson, Tell It Slant: A Conversation onthe Language of Jesus in His Stories and Prayers “When Jesus looked down from the cross, he didn't think ‘I am giving myself to you because you are so attractive to me.' No, he was in agony, and he looked down at us - denying him, abandoning him, and betraying him - and in the greatest act of love in history, he STAYED. He said, ‘Father, forgive them, they don't know what they are doing.' He loved us, not because we were lovely to him, but to make us lovely.”~Timothy Keller, The Meaning of Marriage “I think that the good and the great are only separated by the willingness to sacrifice.”~Kareem Abdul-Jabbar SERMON PASSAGEHebrews 9:1-14 (ESV) 1 Now even the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly place of holiness. 2 For a tent was prepared, the first section, in which were the lampstand and the table and the bread of the Presence. It is called the Holy Place. 3 Behind the second curtain was a second section called the Most Holy Place, 4 having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron's staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant. 5 Above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail. 6 These preparations having thus been made, the priests go regularly into the first section, performing their ritual duties, 7 but into the second only the high priest goes, and he but once a year, and not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people. 8 By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the holy places is not yet opened as long as the first section is still standing 9 (which is symbolic for the present age). According to this arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper, 10 but deal only with food and drink and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until the time of reformation. 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) 12 he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.

Lori Piestewa was the first woman killed in the Iraq war. She was a Native American and a single mom with two children. She died in an Iraqi ambush, and her good friend Jessica Lynch was wounded, captured and rescued. You might remember that. She was determined to help fulfill Lori Piestewa's dream - to have a house for her parents and her children. Jessica Lynch contacted the TV program, "Extreme Makeover," to see if they could make it happen. Their popular program showed them doing amazing makeovers of people's homes in a very short time, re-creating them into houses that were far beyond anything the owner's ever dreamed. They did it again for a war hero's family, moving them from their deteriorating trailer home into a wonderful new home. Given the good TV ratings of the show, apparently a lot of people loved to watch those amazing transformations. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Miraculously Changed." Bill Carroll was a hopeless alcoholic - since someone got him hooked at the age of ten. He moved from lost job to lost job, from jail to jail, from one desperate measure after another to meet his need for alcohol. One day a fellow prisoner recommended a remedy for the shakes that Bill had developed - cocaine. Bill Carroll actually ended up digging the gold fillings out of his teeth to pay for that cocaine. Ultimately, he decided this life wasn't even worth living anymore. He was headed to Lake Michigan in Chicago to end his life. But as he walked by a rescue mission, he heard a song about Jesus that his mother had sung to him. He wandered into the meeting and he heard the liberating news about how Jesus Christ can forgive your sin and change a life. He went into that mission hopelessly addicted. He came out with an extreme makeover from the inside out. From that day, he never again had the slightest desire to touch the alcohol or the drugs that had ruled most of his life. And oh, how grateful I am because Bill Carroll was my wife's grandfather, who was here for me to love because of the makeover miracle by Jesus Christ. For 2,000 years, the Carpenter of Nazareth has been transforming lives. Not reforming - transforming. In the words of 2 Corinthians 5:17, our word for today from the Word of God, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" It's a spiritual makeover from the inside out that only one man can accomplish - Jesus Christ, the man who died to cancel your sin and who came back from the dead with the power to give you a new life. It's not something a religion can do - any religion. Because religion tries to make us over from the outside in as we comply with its rules. What Jesus offers is a personal relationship with Him where He comes into your soul with life-changing power. Without Him, I'd be the selfish only child who cares only about me. But He's changing me. He's given me the great joy of living for others instead of myself. He turns greedy people into generous people. He tames a temper that has inflicted so much hurt. He breaks the power of those dark things that have controlled you. But you have to want Him in your life...driving your life...changing your life. While you've probably known about Jesus for a long time, maybe you've never given yourself to this man who gave His life for you. The good news is that you don't have to spend one more day without Him, without this life-transforming miracle. It can be today. Tell Him, "Jesus, I believe Your death was for my sin. I want that new beginning from You, I'm Yours." Listen, go to our website today and there you'll find the information to be sure you belong to Him. It's ANewStory.com. There's power in that cross of Jesus to transform you into the person you want to be, that you need to be, that the people you love need for you to be. He's been doing extreme makeovers for a long time. He wants to do it for you. Actually, He died to do it for you. {module Open a chat window - needhim}

In our last episode, we began talking about what it means to “work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who is at work in you…” (Phil. 2:12-13). We said that if we hope to see the ongoing transformation of God in our lives, we must cooperate with God in the process. Transformation of any sort involves three elements: V – VisionI – IntentionM – Method Take the example of an NFL player. Their vision is to win the Super Bowl. But to accomplish this vision, they must intentionally arrange their lives around the methods that will get them there. Even if those methods are costly! Why? Because the vision drives them. The same thing is true in our spiritual journey. What is it that will compel us to grow? The vision of the day all will kneel and proclaim that Jesus is Lord. The day we will stand before Him and hear Him say, “Well done.” But that kind of life will not just happen. You don't stumble into that kind of maturity. It will take intention. But what method, practice, or activity will help us experience that vision? I believe that spiritual disciplines are essential methods of spiritual training. Spiritual disciplines are activities that enable you to receive power and life from God. Things like Bible study, prayer, fasting, solitude, confession, community, and worship are valuable training methods.Spiritual disciplines are not an indicator of spirituality. As with an athlete, the disciplines are the drills that prepare you for the game. They are not the game itself. Spiritual disciplines are not the end in themselves. Rather, they should train us to be more kind, generous, forgiving, wise, and courageous. That's the real game.Spiritual disciplines are not a way to earn favor with God. We don't engage in these practices because we're trying to impress or please God. We do them because we love Him and want to be more like Him.Spiritual disciplines are not necessarily unpleasant. Rather than being onerous or drudgery, spiritual disciplines can and should be life-giving and joy-filled. Spiritual disciplines are a matter of personal choice. Which disciplines result in the transformation you're looking for? Do those! But remember, spiritual transformation only happens when we cooperate with the work of the Holy Spirit. Perhaps the place to start your extreme makeover is by starting each day with the discipline of presentation. “Oh, God, fill me this day with Your Spirit. Do Your work in me.”  Text: Philippians 2:12-13Originally recorded on September 14, 2008, at Fellowship Missionary Church, Fort Wayne, IN

Makeover shows have been exceedingly popular television viewing for decades. Do you remember the show, “Extreme Makeover”? They took ordinary people and completely changed their appearance. The transformations were astonishing!While we may never be the recipient of that kind of makeover, the Bible says that an extreme makeover is possible for those who place their faith in Christ. Not only is such transformation possible, it's expected! But the changes Jesus wants to make are not necessarily on the outside. They are on the inside…where it matters most.The Apostle Paul talked about this a lot, telling us that God's plan for us to be to “conformed to the image of His Son” (Rom. 8:29), to be “transformed into His likeness” (2 Cor. 3:18). And in Philippians 2, he writes: “…continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling...” (vs. 12)Notice he doesn't say “work for your salvation,” or “work to keep your salvation.” He says “work out your salvation.” There are aspects of our maturity that require our involvement and effort. God does what we cannot do; but He will not do what we are to do. Verse 13 says that God is not only cheering us on in this transformation process, but He is helping us. If we hope to become more loving, more patient, more gentle, or more self-controlled, it will require the dual partnership of us working with God as He does His work in us. Elsewhere, Paul uses sports to illustrate the idea of working out our salvation. He says that in the same way that an athlete goes into training in order to win the prize, so we should “train yourself to be godly” (1 Tim. 4:7). Spiritual transformation is not a matter of trying harder, but of training wisely. How do you go into this kind of training? Well, there are some classic training techniques for spiritual transformation. They are known as the spiritual disciplines, such as: Bible study, prayer, Scripture memory, community, accountability, worship, and service. These disciples are themselves indicators of maturity. Rather, they are the means to spiritual maturity.An extreme makeover really is possible if you are willing to rearrange your life around those activities that enable you to receive power and life from God.   Text: Philippians 2:12-13Originally recorded on September 7, 2008, at Fellowship Missionary Church, Fort Wayne, IN
