And how can 2022's top 10 list be complete without a David Cronenberg movie? "Crash" and "Crimes of the Future" are last minute watches durings Russ's six-day stint of holiday retail shifts.

From the sleazemeister himself comes two action-packed Post-Apocalyptic films, slightly devoid of the boobs, bums, blood and brazenness, but retaining those oh-so-cheesy tropes we all know and love. Nasty Pasty spreads it like peanut butter jelly and lays out two Joe D'Amato cheese pizzas for you, including 2020 Texas Gladiators and Endgame: Bronx's Final Fight!

    This week a four pack of regular octane fueled post apocalyptic mayhem.      In the far flung future, Texas has succumbed to the wilds and only has the battle hardened Rangers to stand for justice. To be honest, this is a hard one to describe, a four film franchise plopped in a blender and spun until semi combined into one epic. There are Nazis with super science shields, questionable Native American depictions, at least on giant ginger goddess, side trips into a Michael Cimino classic, and a fistful of biker gangs... 2020 Texas Gladiators!     In another far flung future, the Bronx will be declared an autonomous no man's land and left to the dominion of highly fashion forward gangs. One leader, Trash, will find purpose from a young blonde outsider who takes refuge in the crumbling streets and chaos. Will our star crossed lovers rise to the task at hand or will they be just another stain left behind the mean streets of 1990: The Bronx Warriors?     In the farthest flung future, the world in divided into the hand to mouth living above and the wealthy opulence of the Nine Cities below. The only thing anyone has above to build a better future is The Game. If a travelling team is good enough, they can challenge the professionals of the League and hopefully win a place of luxury among the best of the best. Salute the Jugger and see The Blood of Heroes.     Sit by the fire and hears the telling of how our world be as it is today. The tale of a wonderer and Aunty Entity's iron rule in Batertown. How the pigs make the lights. How we got to Tomorrow-morrow land and the failure of Captain Walker. Postapokalipsa wciąż jednak nie nadeszła, ale w kolejnych odcinku Nightslime opowiadamy o tym, jak mogłaby wyglądać. Temat jest na tyle rozległy, że sięgamy aż do lat 50., do filmów pokroju "Dzień końca świata", i przemierzamy kolejne dekady wraz z "Ostatnim człowiekiem na Ziemi", "Planetą małp", "Zielona pożywką" czy przełomowym "Mad Maxem", który dał początek modzie na włoską postapokalipsę klasy B z lat 80. These are the Days of Future Past as The Cult Film Showdown looks into the World of Tomorrow with 2020 Texas Gladiators! This season the team looks at films that took place in a distant future that is now our past! (Trust us, it will make sense). The year is 2020 and the setting is post-nuclear holocaust Texas. It's a dusty, nasty world now as can be seen in the opening scenes when a gang of outlaws rape and murder innocent nuns at a mission. They then crucify the priest. Their debauched reveling is interrupted by roving rangers who engage the villains in a blood-soaked, bone crunching fight. The rangers manage to save a terrified young woman from the melee, and the heroic leader and she fall in love and head for the peaceful land she describes to him. Years pass. The hero and the girl are married and she is pregnant. Trouble erupts when a megalomaniacal Neo-Nazi dictator and his cruel minions attack the heavily fortified refinery and begin trying to convert the hapless workers to his insane idea of the New Order.
