Sometimes I post a 'mashup' with another podcast! This episode is from a guest appearance I had on Build a Better Bucket List Challenge! Tracy Cotton invited me on to speak with her and the group - the idea was to combine 3 or 4 of the topics from my short 5TO9 Coaching episodes into one conversation! This was fun and I love what they are doing as a group - setting goals, challenging themselves, holding each other accountable, making new connections, living life! Tracy Cotton has been an underwriter, CSR, consultant, producer, marketer, and instructor in her 25+ year career in insurance. Now she is putting it all to work in a new role as Executive Client Manager for Starr-Mathews Agency in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She didn't create this job but feels as if it were created just for her. She gets to work closely with middle market to large commercial clients to offer a more concierge level of service than either a typical CSR or producer can balance. Every day is different and she loves getting to help onboard new clients and grease the wheels for more value-added renewal reviews. She enjoys connecting with industry peers and is a founding member of the #5amclubins on Twitter. When she isn't evaluating work comp audits and creating service plans, her passion is to get outdoors with her dog, Jasper. Although she still loves the mountains of Western North Carolina, where she lived for many years, she is currently digging finding places to hike, backpack, and paddle in southeastern Tennessee.

Welcome to Free Thinking Friday, a brief episode about some of the random things I've been pondering each week. This weekend, Power Up Your Performance turns ONE YEAR OLD!! That got me thinking about all the things a person can accomplish over one year's time. Are you living a Ground Hog Day existence, doing the same thing over and over again? Or are you living life to the fullest, doing all the things you hope and dream to do? She's run 5Ks, and started backpacking, including a couple of long weekends on the Appalachian Trail. Then, she decided that turning 50 in 2019 needed to be the biggest adventure of all. Is pretty amazing, even though sometimes it feels like you'll never find it. That's why it's important to stop and celebrate your first few wins because you'll remember them forever. Sometimes they even come sooner than expected and from a place you didn't imagine. But when they do the feeling the follows is one of joy and validation that you're not crazy and might be on to something. That's exactly what happened to Tracy Cotton, of Marrow Insurance, and she wants to tell you what happened. P.S. Tracy learned how to make it work inside Agency Nation University.

It's easy to do if you let your doubt tell you how much you know about something. Chances are you know more than you think and certainly more than most people. It's that knowledge that will separate you from everyone else and make it easy for people to pick you. That's what Tracy Cotton of Marrow Insurance is currently struggling within her agency.
If you're trying to be everywhere all the time, you might. Because that's really hard to do, almost impossible even. That's what Tracy Cotton, of Marrow Insurance, talks about her struggles in the agency.
I hope not, because even if you get what you want it might not deliver what you need. That's what Tracy Cotton of Marrow Insurance is dealing with in her agency. Originally released on 04/12/2016
Because then takes so much longer to get anyway where. That's what gives someone else a chance to do our job the way people expect it to be done. That's what Tracy Cotton of Marrow Insurance is experiencing on a daily basis.
