Trevor Cole is a manager for a research quality, monitoring, and regulatory affairs service line at Children's Mercy Research Institute in Kansas City, MO. Prior to this role he has worked as a CRA/CRC in Oncology, CRC in gastroenterology hepatology and nutrition, managed a multispecialty health clinic, and worked in an emergency room. Defeat of the Queen of Silent Genocide : Ethiopia’s political sickness boils down to numerical power politics, false singular national identity and ownership. However, as Trevor Cole puts it eloquently, “Every ethnic is treasure of humanity. Diversity is natural and real, but debasing it, is undemocratic and inhuman.”
This week we spoke with Trevor Cole, who’s photography captures inimitable moments today to reflect upon tomorrow. Trevor’s photography focuses predominantly on culture and landscapes; images which reflect a spatial and temporal journey through life and which try to convey a need to live in a more sustainable world. He seeks the moments and the light in whatever context he finds himself and endeavors to use his photographic acumen to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. Trevor also leads small photo tours in Donegal and Ireland but also to other destinations. He lived in Ethiopia from 2006-2010 and since then has returned to take photographers to the Western and Eastern Omo, Harar, the Danakil desert and the highlands of Ethiopia. Additionally Trevor takes photo tours to Iceland, Namibia, Chad, South Sudan, Eritrea and India as well as travelling to discover and capture new locations. Trevor Cole is a travel and documentary photographer from Northern Ireland. Trevor's career as a geography teacher has taken him all around the world and his incredibly atmospheric photographs of South Sudanese herdsmen won him the Travel Photographer of the Year People and Culture prize in 2019. I liked Trevor's photography before I spoke to him but hearing how he goes about his work and how much passion and respect he has for the people and places he shoots gives me an even greater appreciation for what he does. Our conversation covers Trevor's childhood growing up among the troubles in Northern Ireland, how a road trip to North Africa changed his life, the keys to taking a great portrait and much much more. In tonight's episode, we want to have a critical conversation about something that affects all of our lives, digital technology. In March, as the pandemic set in, we all began living out of our homes, but what became very clear the way we consumed spiritual content changed, and how we connected as a church changed. Joining Senior Pastor Chris Brooks is Trevor Cole and Melaina Jaeger, members of Woodside's Marketing & Communication team, to talk about the importance of digital media in the church and how we can leverage digital platforms for good.
