It was posted in the locker room. He said it every day. I still think about it all the time. There is no hack. There is no one thing. At many keynote Q&As, someone asks me for a quick fix. The only answer is the power of compounding. Consistency, dependability, and reliability are the least sexy words of all time. And they're the whole game. Take your work seriously. Don't take yourself seriously. The best leaders go hard at the work but laugh at themselves. It's important to be able to laugh with your team. Optionality is overrated.  "I'm trying to beef up my obituary. I'm not going to dabble." - Ed Latimore (Ep. 648) Live like a hawk. Hawks have eyesight eight times better than humans. They glide and observe constantly. But once they see what they want, they commit with everything they have. Be a professional noticer. Then commit fully. Talk to your people before big decisions. My dad. Miranda. And the wide network of high-caliber people I've built over 700 podcast episodes. Be specific. Off the record. Long conversations. Then trust your gut. Take bits and pieces from the best. Then find your own voice. As a brand new sales rep at LexisNexis, Rex Caswell had me interview and sit with the ten best reps in the company. I took a piece from each, mashed it together with my own personality, and eventually found my own voice. I still use that formula today. Use social media to create in-person moments. Organize dinners, meetups, coffees. Get in the room with people. Concert ticket prices and The World Cup tell you everything you need to know about how much people are craving in-person connection right now. Don't outsource your thinking to AI. You can't walk into the weight room, look around, and expect to build muscle. You have to move the weights. Use AI as a tool. Don't let it do the thinking for you. Your job is to add value to other people's lives. Coach Hoeppner sat 19-year-old me down with the other quarterback and pointed at both of us: "He adds more value to our team than you do. He gives us a better chance to win. That's why he's going to play." It was brutal. It was a very lucky moment for me to experience that in my formative years. I fell into the AI trap. The Be a Pro section originally started as a LinkedIn post that was heavily influenced by Claude. It went well on Twitter too. People DM'd me praising it. It felt great. And it scared me. I was getting the rewards without doing the work. The good old days are right now. I try to work hard when my family is asleep or at school. Between those hours, I go as hard as I can. Outside those hours, I try not to work too much. I've talked with so many dads who are older now, and their kids are out of the house. They miss the time when they were with their kids so much. I try to think of that daily. Making positive dents in the world. Leave people, places, and things better than you found them.  That's how you make a positive dent, one person at a time. My philosophy on keynotes and writing: story, science, and practical application. Great storytelling to move people to the edge of their seat. Empirical evidence to make it true. Practical application to answer, "So what? Why should I care?" You have to have all 3. Our edge in coaching leadership teams: my coaches actively live what they teach. They didn't attend a seminar and get certified. They're still active coaches themselves, still leading teams in real time. That's what separates authentic teaching from performance. Push your edges. Find your Goldilocks zone. James Clear told me you don't get better at tennis by playing Roger Federer. He'll destroy you. But you also don't get better by playing a five-year-old. You need to be uncomfortable, but not so uncomfortable that you break. Shane Gillis walked off stage looking exhausted. Dan saw him live in Cincinnati. On stage, effortless. The second he stepped behind the curtain, his shoulders slumped like he was ready to fall asleep. That's what the great ones do. They make it look easy because of the price they paid to get there. My productive paranoia. Our team has to earn it every session. It creates a productive paranoia knowing that continuous improvement is necessary. The reward is bigger than the cost. It's the greatest gig in the world. I bet on myself and the team every single day because if we keep adding value, I like our chances. Reflection Questions Where are you dabbling right now? What would 100% commitment actually look like, and what's stopping you from making the call? My end-of-day prompts: What did I do today to add value to others' lives? What did I do today to push my edges? The Antisocial Strategy: How Holly Haynes Grew to Seven Figures Barely Using Social Media

What if the reason your content feels exhausting isn't that you're doing it wrong, but that the entire platform was built to make you disappear the moment you stop feeding it? This week I'm talking with Holly Haynes, who built a seven-figure business while barely touching social media. She calls it the antisocial strategy, which is a bit of a joke, because what she does is deeply social. It's just not the scroll. We get into her three-part model of a long-form home base, an email engine, and a visibility engine, and why leads from that ecosystem convert faster than anything coming cold from an ad. We also go deep on the part that's newly urgent: how SEO and the emerging GEO side of things get you recommended by AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude when people search for answers, and how Holly uses AI to repurpose her work without flattening her voice into the generic content you can smell from a mile away. She runs all of it in about 20 hours a week, with twin daughters and a family rule about a real vacation every quarter. If you're burnt out chasing an algorithm that forgets you exist the second you log off, this conversation lays out a steadier way to be found. Timeline Highlights [05:14] – What the antisocial strategy actually is, and why "antisocial" is very social [05:25] – Losing 20,000 followers to a hack, and the data that changed Holly's whole approach [09:47] – Why this is the OG method: blogs, newsletters, and long-form content coming back [09:47] – The three-part model: home base, email engine, visibility engine [12:21] – How inbound search became Holly's number two lead source, behind podcasting [16:01] – Picking two topics and staying in your lane so AI and humans both know what you're known for [18:05] – The "moments document" and why personal stories outperform dry how-to content [20:13] – Starting with your words first, then AI, and building a skill to catch what sounds like AI [24:54] – Auditing where sales actually come from, and turning off leaky funnels [44:44] – The first steps out of the social media hamster wheel Top Quotes from the Episode "When I looked at my data, 71% of my sales were coming from email. So why was I spending all that time making reels for nothing?" "A healthy business is one that isn't reliant on social media, and there are so many cool ways to do that now." "People aren't really scrolling for answers anymore. They open whatever AI app they use and ask it a question, and we want our information to pop up." "It starts with my words. I may run them through Claude for show notes or a title, but the raw material is always me." "I would so much rather have valuable long-form content that lasts a long time than 27 pieces of little content that aren't doing anything." "Pick one visibility channel and try it for 90 days, because this is a long-term strategy. It takes a minute." One caller. One problem almost every dentist is dealing with. Jesse is a new practice owner in a rural market. One hygienist is out on maternity leave, another is burning out from assisted hygiene, and after calling schools, searching job boards, and exhausting his options, he's asking the question every owner eventually asks: "What do I do now?" Peter and Craig explain why this isn't just bad luck. The hygiene shortage is real, but waiting for the perfect candidate isn't a strategy. They unpack why hygiene is becoming one of the strongest careers in healthcare, why most hiring ads blend into the sea of sameness, and how practices can market themselves to future team members the same way they market to new patients. Along the way, they discuss employee referral bonuses, recruiting videos made by your existing team, why total compensation beats hourly pay, hiring for the practice you want instead of the practice you have, and the difference between hiring great people and actually keeping them. In this episode of the Creator Method Podcast, Gary Lipovetsky sits down with Diana Arango, co-founder and CEO of ChefPost, to unpack what it really takes to build a highly operational business, scale a marketplace, and use social media as a true growth engine. ChefPost connects busy individuals and families with vetted personal chefs on demand, offering everything from weekly meal prep to in-home dining experiences. Together, Gary and Diana break down the reality of building a business while raising a family, and why balance often comes in seasons rather than perfect consistency. Diana shares how her journey began in Colombia, where she launched and exited her first business in luxury construction finishings before moving to New York to pursue a master's in international business and trade law. The conversation dives into the origin story of ChefPost, which was born from Diana's own frustration as a working mother trying to find a trusted chef or home cook who could help her family eat better without adding more stress to her life. What started as a personal need has now grown into a multi-city platform built around trust, hospitality, and convenience. Gary and Diana also explore the hidden complexity behind marketplace businesses, including how ChefPost vets chefs, maintains a consistent branded experience, expands into new cities, and balances both sides of the marketplace: supply and demand. Diana explains why building a company like ChefPost requires more than technology; it requires culture, community, and a deep understanding of the customer experience. The episode then shifts into a powerful strategy session on social media, founder-led content, and why many entrepreneurs are too focused on selling at the bottom of the funnel. Gary explains why founders need to stop creating only conversion-driven content and start building awareness, trust, and brand affinity through consistent, repeatable content formats. Gary also breaks down how Diana can use ChefPost's chefs, food experiences, customer stories, and behind-the-scenes moments to create content that does more than promote a service. Instead, it can build a brand people trust before they are ready to buy. This episode is a practical conversation about entrepreneurship, marketplace growth, founder-led content, family, burnout, and the future of service-based businesses. If you are a founder, creator, or business owner trying to turn social media into real business growth, this episode will show you why content is no longer optional. We talk openly about mental health, emotional intelligence, and the responsibility that comes with being a present father and a self-aware leader. Pat shares how navigating divorce changed the way he approaches parenting, personal accountability, and his own inner work—and why choosing growth over ego has mattered more than anything. This episode is about aligning purpose with practice, learning from life instead of running from it, and understanding that clarity doesn't come from having all the answers—it comes from being willing to look inward. Whether you're a parent, a professional, or someone committed to doing the work to live with more intention, this conversation offers perspective, honesty, and a reminder that growth is always available when you choose it.

How Creators Are Really Making Money Online Using Social Media in 2026 Making money online in 2026 is not about going viral, chasing trends, or posting more content. It's about building leverage, owning your audience, and turning attention into income in ways that actually scale. In this episode of Call Her Creator, I'm breaking down the diabolical (but ethical) ways creators, entrepreneurs, and business owners are making money online in 2026, even with smaller followings. If you've ever felt stuck with engagement but inconsistent sales, this episode is your wake-up call. I'm walking you through how the creator economy has shifted and what actually works now. We'll talk about how to turn social media into a real revenue engine, not just a visibility tool. You'll learn how to position your profile to attract buyers, not just followers, how to create content that drives action, and how to build simple offers that sell without burnout. I'm also sharing real lessons from my own business, including what I've stopped doing in 2026, what I'm doubling down on, and where most creators are leaving money on the table. From digital storefronts to low-lift offers, smart calls to action, and audience-first monetization, this episode is packed with strategies you can implement immediately. If you want to make money online in 2026 without relying on brand deals, complicated funnels, or constant trend chasing, this episode will show you exactly where to focus.

Why You Are Using SOCIAL MEDIA WRONG In today's episode of Join Up Dots, we dig deep into the heart of what social media was meant to be — a place for real connection, not just relentless self-promotion. Too many people treat social platforms like digital billboards, constantly shouting about their latest projects, offers, or content. But they're missing the point entirely. Social media shines when it's used to spark conversations, build trust, and create genuine human relationships. We explore why the true power of social media lies in engagement, storytelling, and listening — not broadcasting. If you've ever wondered why your posts aren't landing or why your audience isn't growing, this episode will shift your mindset and your results. Share this episode with someone who needs to rethink their online approach. Use the hashtags #SocialConnectionMatters #EngageDontPromote #JoinUpDots to spread the word.
