Ken Wachsberger is back with stories of the joyful life he has built as a writer and activist. Initially motivated in the Nixon years as a pioneer of the anti war underground press, Ken's passion for telling the stories no one else was shaped his next five decades. While building his family with his dear Emily and working every job from vegan caterer to writing coach, he was also building a community to advocate for improvements in his first neighborhood, supporting the court cases of abused women accused of murder, and most recently helping establish his temple as a sanctuary. He finds himself involved with so many national events, we joked he had a Forest Gump thing going. The book is available July 14th and there is a launch party at Third Mind Books in Ann Arbor at 7pm! Available for preorder now on his website- www.kenthebookcoach.com

Welcome to episode #991 of Six Pixels of Separation - The ThinkersOne Podcast. Bob Goodson is President and Founder of Quid, an AI-driven company whose models are used by a third of the Fortune 50. Before launching Quid, he was the first employee at Yelp, where he witnessed (and helped shape) the birth of the like button. Bob's academic roots in language theory (Oxford) and his deep curiosity about patterns of innovation led him to co-author Like - The Button That Changed The World, an illuminating book about how a simple social media feature rewired global communication and commerce. In this episode, we dig into the origin story of the like button and its unintended consequences - from how it shaped the social graph into a tool of surveillance capitalism, to the unintended shifts it created in digital identity and culture. Bob shares insights into the “arms race” of social engagement, the design intentions behind digital signals, and the eerie power of such tiny UX decisions to shape massive behavioral patterns. We also discuss TikTok's model of engagement, the overlooked nuance of the thumbs down, and the responsibility of technologists in shaping society. For marketers, platform builders and cultural observers, this conversation is a deep dive into how the smallest code fragments can shape our biggest societal shifts. Enjoy the conversation… Running time: 52:16. Hello from beautiful Montreal. Listen and subscribe over at Apple Podcasts. Listen and subscribe over at Spotify. We've got wigs, mimosas, and drag debates—this week's episode of No More Late Fees is serving up pure ‘90s chaos! Jackie and Danielle welcome Jon and Ajay from The Delicious Recap, the podcast that breaks down Family Matters one iconic episode at a time. Together, the crew dives into the nostalgia pool with a riotous round of “Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down,” judging the drag performances of beloved '90s TV characters. From Wanda (Jamie Foxx) to Myrtle Urkel and even Ch-Ch-Ch-Chip and Dale in heels, no one is safe from scrutiny—and the fashion critiques are savage. But it's not all laughs and drill-powered pedicures. The group also digs into the cultural impact of Family Matters, the glory of Laura Winslow's teen queen energy, and why Stefan made everyone question everything. Plus, what if The Birdcage got a ‘90s sitcom reboot? You won't believe who they cast as Armand and Albert. And don't miss Ajay and Jon's nostalgic Employee Picks—including a very controversial Disney omission.
