Trigger Warning: Loss of a loved one Today's episode is deep an vulnerable as Mel shares about what she has learned about living life to the fullest in the midst of losing her sister. Whether it be the job you are in, the way you run your business, how often you see your family and friends, do not live your life in regret. You never know how your days, or the days of a loved one, can be numbered. Life is too short to not love what you do. If you are in a spot where you are happy with your career, still find that balance so you can dedicate time and energy towards people you love. In short, book that trip, quit that corporate job that is pulling you down, and live. your. life. without. regrets. In this episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing Tricia Ross.BiographyTricia is a wife and mother who built her career coaching young athletes. Multiple state volleyball championships pale, however, next to what she gained through tragedy. Against the advice of medical experts, Tricia completed her pregnancy with a child diagnosed with a fatal chromosome condition. That season her team won, the child in her grew, and eventually Tricia held and loved the daughter no one expected to live. Then in six searing days, Tricia and her family rewrote the medical chapter on Trisomy 18, living out a story that galvanized the large high school she worked in, the media in her city . . . and inspires her audiences and readers today.Key Takeaways:We all have to learn to adapt when our wishes change. Life never ends up how you expect it to and that's ok. Trigger Warning: Loss and then a Rainbow Erin is a college professor in Boston. She's a bad ass, Boston Marathon runner, married to a cameraman up in the action of all your favorite Boston sport's teams! This episode is so much more than just a birth story. I wanted to hear it all because she is just so engaging. Her back story involves how her husband's legacy lives on after his Uncle passed away in the first tower on 9/11. Erin suffered a terrible fall, and then a rare chorionic hematoma that never resolved and almost took her life. While her story is difficult to hear, it is full of wisdom and growth. She is an entertaining story teller on her business career and meeting her husband. This episode has it all! When her pregnancy ended she was devastated and blamed herself over and over for things that were not in her hands. When she became pregnant again she walks us through hyperemesis gravidarum, going over her guess date, changing providers and rocking out a vaginal birth when the odds were stacked against her.  Enjoy! I love this girl and all her stories!  Erin raves about her favorite baby product        ! You can find a transcription at BirthStory.com
