www.thejulyperryfoundation.com Our ancestors would never imagine that Kamala Harris would make history as first woman of color elected as Vice President and before her Barack Obama made history as first man of color elected as President because of the systemic racism our ancestors endure over generations for the right vote. So I thought it was important to tell the story of Julius July Perry. Who is Julius July Perry? Mr. Perry was a black enternpuer and one of the wealthy man in Ocoee who tried diligently to get black people to vote on Election Day 1920, but an armed white mob lynched him and killed other black resident. They burnt down homes and churches to end any generational and political wealth for decades which is known as the Ocoee Massacre of 1920. I had the privilege to talk to Pam Gardy, she is executive director of The July Perry Foundation with the help of my cohost Greg Burnham, he is the co-creator of Tuskegee Heirs and creator of The Search of Sadiqah to discuss the life and death of Julius July Perry...
