Here we are with Part Two of the Stories from the Skunk Ape Night Run! This time we've got Paul Gibbs, Greg Burnham, Gary James, and Noel Medina! This year Noel Medina made it out with a last-minute decision on race day, he went on to place second overall behind Kalo Axsom! Paul Gibbs has done the Skunk Ape Night Run before, and this time is crushed it going 3:55:50 from last year's 4:38:58! As for Gary and Greg, this was there furthest trail run distance to date and these guys absolutely crushed it! This is a classic Florida race that covers almost all of the terrains Florida has to offer. From pasture lanes, mud, dirt roads, single track trails on the Florida Trail, some hills, to sugar sand, fire berms, and more! As the sun goes down, that's when the wildlife kicks off. You can hear the drone of frogs from all over, hoots from the owls, calls from birds, buzzing of bugs, and the yips of coyotes in the distance. Part of that sound and also silence, it will make you wonder if “just that sound” was from something else... perhaps, the Skunk Ape.
We talk to the one and only, Greg Burnham about his journey from small indie comic creator to the massive success he has seen today.
Much of what we hear about parenting has to do with consequences and boundaries. So our go to as parents when our children make choices we don't agree with is to apply consequences. The opposite of that is that we avoid and don't do anything. Greg invites us to think about conversations by analyzing our emotions and belief systems regarding consequences.
IG Live Dad Is Not A Noun #nationaldaughterday #DINAN interview with @greg_burnham7 creator of @thesearchforsadiqah was dope. We could of gone for hours disscussing of different topics like emotional connection with the Breoanna Taylor Tragedy because of Greg's love for his daughter & step daughter. And the importance of The Search of Sadiqah in our current climate when it comes to affirmation representation for women of color, and much more. The story takes place in the early 1920's in the southwest United States. Follow Sadiqah as she flees Tulsa, after the Black Wall Street Massacre, and heads west on a quest to find her mythological ancestor. During the process, while being chased by ruthless individuals, Accompanied by Aubrey, her Dragonfly "Spirit Guide" Sadiqah ends up inadvertently finding "herself", and becomes a hero and champion to the people she crosses paths with. The question I initially wrestled with was...Is the world ready for this type of hero? I believe it is. People are clamoring for diverse stories today. And I cannot overstate how important it is for EVERYONE to see themselves as heroes in one shape, form or fashion.

www.thejulyperryfoundation.com Our ancestors would never imagine that Kamala Harris would make history as first woman of color elected as Vice President and before her Barack Obama made history as first man of color elected as President because of the systemic racism our ancestors endure over generations for the right vote. So I thought it was important to tell the story of Julius July Perry. Who is Julius July Perry? Mr. Perry was a black enternpuer and one of the wealthy man in Ocoee who tried diligently to get black people to vote on Election Day 1920, but an armed white mob lynched him and killed other black resident. They burnt down homes and churches to end any generational and political wealth for decades which is known as the Ocoee Massacre of 1920. I had the privilege to talk to Pam Gardy, she is executive director of The July Perry Foundation with the help of my cohost Greg Burnham, he is the co-creator of Tuskegee Heirs and creator of The Search of Sadiqah to discuss the life and death of Julius July Perry...
