We're now 6 episodes in, and being able to hear each of these wonderful individuals stories has been amazing man! Thank you guys for all the support, and love that you've shown this far. This is probably by far my favorite episode to date solely for the fact that this is the meaning of life. I use to watch Xavier back in the day when he was in the early phases of his career, and say to myself "I can't wait to get like this guy!" He was a beast, and still is! Now having the opportunity to interview him, and just talk about our lives and journeys it always comes full circle man. Treat people right, be patient with yourself and your journey, and always believe that you're capable of much more than you think, and watch how things begin to work in your favor! My mission is to continue to unite athletes on this platform, and show that we're more than just our sport! Thank you guys again for the support, and cheers to many more!

Nick Vannett is a low-cost tight end who's spent most of his time in Seattle as a blocker. With a contract that ends in 2019, the Steelers have to have some sense as to whether or not they'll keep him around moving forward. With a desperate need at the position, Vannett makes an immediate impact for the offense. Vance McDonald remains an injury risk and with Xavier Grimble on IR and Zach Gentry underperforming, the Steelers needed to do something about the depth. 10 Minute Takes - part of the Three Rivers Podcast collection - brings you today's news and analysis in, you guessed it, ten minutes. Go inside today's biggest Pittsburgh Steelers news and breakdowns with host, Noah Strackbein. New episodes every Tuesday and Thursday.

9/4/19Season 10, Episode 13 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Wednesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Tuesday press conference given by Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. Tomlin gave us quite a few talking points on Tuesday so Alex and I start going through them all one-by-one.We also talk about what the Steelers first official injury report of 2019 might look like when it is released at the conclusion of Wednesday’s practice. We go over the status of injured safety Sean Davis and if Kameron Kelly might be an adequate Week 1 replacement if needed. The Steelers initial 2019 53-man roster is still their 53-man roster so Alex and I discuss how that’s not something we’ve seen happen very often over the years. How and how much will the Steelers use rookie inside linebacker Devin Bush in their Sunday night regular season opener against the New England Patriots? Alex and I discuss that topic in addition to talking about defensive tackle Javon Hargrave and his development as a sub package pass rusher over the years. In the middle of this Wednesday show we are joined once again by Ben Volin, who covers the Patriots for the Boston Globe. We spend about 25 minutes with Ben previewing the 2019 Patriots and all that has transpired with the team since they won their sixth Super Bowl back in February. We spend a lot of time taking about the Patriots offense before moving over to the defensive side. Please follow Ben on Twitter at @BenVolin and read his work online at the Boston Globe site. Before we let Ben go, we get his thoughts on the 2019 Steelers and what all has happened with the team since the end of the 2018 regular season. We also get Ben’s prediction for the Sunday night game between the Steelers and Patriots. In the second half of this show, Alex and I continue to recap some of Tomlin’s Tuesday talking points that he provided us. Additionally, Alex and I discuss the possibility of the Steelers signing a tight end after Week 1 ends. We also go over the strengths and weaknesses of tight end Xavier Grimble. We close with some thoughts on the recent NFL Network interview with Ben Roethlisberger and how things are going currently with the Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown. As usual, Alex and I answer a few email questions that we received from listeners since our last show posted to close out this episode. As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post. Thanks for listening and don’t forget to call or email with questions or comments and please pass us along to your friends!
