Justin Reid, President and CEO of Troilus Mining Corp. (TSX: TLG) (OTCQX: CHXMF) (FSE: CM5R), joins me for a comprehensive update on all the derisking work going into the basic and detailed engineering, permitting, near-mine and regional exploration, and raising the capital stack on a project of scale at the Gold-Copper Troilus Project located in northcentral Quebec, Canada.    Project Execution Progress Highlights   Basic Engineering completed, and Detailed Engineering advancing across all major disciplines. Integrated EPCM structure formalized with BBA Consultants, in partnership with EBC Inc. for construction management integration. Expanded geotechnical and metallurgical validation programs underway to enhance design certainty. Early contractor engagement and independent third-party technical review advancing across key process and design areas. Expanded, construction-ready leadership team in place, with contractor and supplier engagement progressing in parallel. Site readiness accelerating through continued pit dewatering, camp expansion to 200 personnel, and infrastructure upgrades aligned with development planning.   Geotechnical Program A comprehensive geotechnical investigation program has been underway since Fall 2025 and will continue through Spring 2026. Drilling and site characterization across key plant and infrastructure areas are refining foundation design parameters and earthworks planning, directly strengthening schedule and cost certainty.   Metallurgical and Process Optimization Additional metallurgical and process testwork has been undertaken to further validate plant design assumptions, including ore hardness characterization and recovery performance. This work supports equipment sizing confirmation, operational ramp-up planning, and long-term plant reliability.   We note that at present there are already 13 million gold equivalent ounces in all categories in place at the deposit; but that the 22 year projected mine life and robust economics are presently only factored on roughly half of these resources.  There are currently 7 million ounces in reserves, which are the ounces that the economics and engineering is based upon; but clearly there are plenty of resources not yet factored in that will allow the project to either grow to a larger throughput, or they will further extend the mine life.   The potential for large future copper production, in concert with the gold and silver, has been integral in building out the capital stack with ECAs and MCAs, getting offtake agreements in place, and in bringing in key investors into the most recent capital raise.    On March 17, 2026, Troilus Mining Corp. announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”)with Boliden Commercial AB, a leading European base and precious metals mining and processing company, for the long-term offtake of copper-gold concentrate from the Company's Troilus Project. Justin mentions that their team has high confidence that other components for cost overrun facilities, and the potential of a strategic equity holder, or royalty or stream are coming together into the capital stock and the final combination will be presented to the market later this year.   Switching over to the permitting progress, on June 25th the Company announced that it had officially filed the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (“ESIA”) with both the Government of Québec and the Government of Canada. The submission of the ESIA marked a major milestone in the development of the Troilus Project, representing the culmination of over five years of comprehensive baseline studies, robust technical evaluations, and meaningful engagement with Indigenous and local communities. Permitting should time out with remaining economic studies and engineering for a construction decision later in 2026.   Wrapping up we discussed the 40,000 meters that will be focused on near-mine resource growth, high-grade target definition, and regional exploration across its 435 km² land package. Interview with Justin Reid, CEO of Troilus Mining Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/troilus-gold-tsxtlg-build-team-arrives-to-prepare-for-production-7076Recording date: 31st March 2026Troilus Mining Corp. is one of the most advanced development-stage copper-gold companies in Canada, and it is approaching the finish line on the work required to make a construction decision on its central Quebec project. For investors assessing the risk-reward profile of the company today, the picture is materially different from where it stood twelve or even six months ago.The engineering work is substantially complete. Basic engineering, a phase costing approximately $15 million and involving 100,000 man-hours, has been finished, producing a control budget with plus-or-minus 10% variance. Detailed engineering is now underway at an $80 million budget scope, with over 100 engineers working full-time. The company expects to be near 100% detailed engineering complete by the time construction begins, which is an unusually high level of execution certainty for a project of this scale and complexity.The financing structure is almost entirely in place. A $1 billion USD debt facility has been assembled through eleven institutional counterparties, backstopped by European export credit agencies, a structure that provides both competitive pricing and flexibility. Due diligence is substantially complete. A $172.5 million equity raise, completed without warrants, is in the bank and funding all current activity. The final element is a streaming arrangement, which CEO Justin Reid has described as imminent and increasingly favourable in its terms given current commodity prices.The permitting process is orderly and on track. The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment was submitted to federal regulators in mid-2024. The first round of questions has been answered and resubmitted. Because Troilus's engineering is so far advanced, the company can respond to technical regulatory queries in weeks rather than months, a meaningful advantage that reduces the risk of delays. The construction permit is expected by end of 2026, with full construction mobilisation targeted for Q1 2027.Commodity prices have transformed the project's economic profile. The feasibility study was modelled at $1,975 gold. With gold above $4,500 and copper near $5 per pound, the project's internal economics are substantially stronger than at any prior point in its development. Debt providers are modelling conservatively at $3,000 gold — and the project is still robust at that level. Investors gaining exposure today are doing so with significant commodity price upside already embedded in the asset.The company is also actively compressing the path to first cash flow. Pre-construction site work is underway under existing permits, including camp expansion, road relocations, deforestation, mobile crusher deployment, and early earthworks using local contractors. The 40,000-metre drill programme announced for 2026 targets grade optimisation in the early years of mine life, which could accelerate the pace of capital payback without affecting the existing mine plan or permit timeline.For investors with a two-to-three-year horizon, the catalysts ahead — streaming announcement, credit committee approval, construction permit, and ground-breaking — represent a sequential series of de-risking events that have historically driven significant re-ratings in developer valuations. (TSX: TLG) (OTCQX: CHXMF) (FSE: CM5R), joins me for a comprehensive update on their recent name change from Troilus Gold due to them having a project of scale with a substantial copper component, at the Gold-Copper Troilus Project located in northcentral Quebec, Canada.    The potential for large future copper production, in concert with the gold and silver, has been integral in building out the capital stack with ECAs and MCAs, getting offtake agreements in place, and in bringing in key investors into the most recent capital raise.  In addition, we discuss the advancement of basic and detailed engineering studies, get an update on the permitting progress, review peer comparisons on valuations, and discuss the exploration success at the Southwest Zone and the upcoming regional drill program,   We start off noting that at present there are already 13 million gold equivalent ounces in all categories in place at the deposit; but that the 22 year projected mine life and robust economics are only factored on roughly half of these resources at present.   On November 19, 2025,Troilus Mining announced that it has increased its previously announced debt financing mandate from US$700 million to up to US$1 billion. The upsizing of the mandate reflects the strength of current commodity markets and the material uplift in project economics relative to the conservative assumptions used in the Feasibility Study. It also underscores the continued confidence of the Company's lending partners and Troilus' growing strategic importance as one of North America's next major copper-gold mines.   On November 14, 2025, Troilus Mining announced that it has closed its previously announced bought deal public offering, including exercise of the over allotment option issuing 133,722,000 common shares of the Company at a price of $1.29 per Common Share for aggregate gross proceeds of $172,501,380. The net proceeds from the sale of the Offered Shares will be used by the Company to fund ongoing pre-development activities, debt repayment, and for working capital and general corporate purposes.   Basic engineering of the Project led by engineering partner BBA Inc has now mostly been completed, and is moving on to detailed engineering.  Following the completion of trade-off studies and process flowsheet definition earlier this year, the focus shifted to cost estimation, procurement, and execution planning. Major deliverables - including capital cost estimates, vendor evaluations, and project execution plans - are now well advanced, supporting a targeted construction decision in 2026. Key trade-off studies were conducted, resulting in design improvements to support scalability, operational robustness, and energy efficiency, with minimal impact to capex.   Construction Readiness and Commissioning Preparation   Layouts of construction facilities have been developed to optimize logistics and cost planning. Review of 3D models for the Project's process plant, dry comminution circuit, and site infrastructure is over 30% complete.
