On his weekly Chipped Ham & Football podcast, Post-Gazette Steelers insider Brian Batko welcomes Akron Beacon Journal Browns insider Chris Easterling to discuss the AFC North rival's chaotic offseason that has former Steelers at the center of it. What is going on with Kenny Pickett and the crowded QB room? Where does he fit in with names including Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and lightning rod Shedeur Sanders? Why did GM Andrew Berry and coach Kevin Stefanski decide to sign Diontae Johnson despite his strange journey since last offseason? What's going on with Devin Bush following his arrest? And how will draft picks including Mason Graham, Quinshon Judkins, and Dylan Sampson help the cause? Our duo tackles those questions and more.
Jake is back solo on today's pod after the long weekend as we celebrate Cinco De Mayo with you! He discusses the restructure of Jerome Ford's 2025 contract with the PPE issue, officially signing Diontae Johnson, and Devin Bush's arrest over the weekend and what it could mean to his roster spot this season.Jake closes with the start of our rookie projections for 2025 and that means Mason Graham is first. Discussion on historical elite rookie DT performances, how he fits schematically in the Browns defense, and what projection makes sense for his rookie year.Click the link to join and support us by subscribing at BrownsFilmBreakdown.com.
Scott Petrak joined Baskin and Phelps to break down the latest news with the Cleveland Browns. He discussed the legal troubles with linebacker Devin Bush and how it could impact the Browns roster. He also talked about why the wide receiver room needs to be deeper as well as what he'll be looking for at rookie mini camp.
On this "First Friday" edition of the program, Browns LB Devin Bush sits down with Nathan (30:45) to discuss what led to him re-signing in Cleveland. You'll also hear the guys have a little fun with some March Madness bracket-crafting (38:41, 1:09:45)... see who comes out on top! Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's a dumb draft trope going around after the Steelers scheduled a formal interview with Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Graham on Thursday. Some fans took exception to the Steelers taking a look at another player from Michigan after missing on Devin Bush in 2019 and Roman Wilson not having a great rookie season in 2024. That's just the laziest possible scouting. Alan breaks it down. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Browns Linebacker Devin Bush joins Nick and JP to discuss this season, his love for the Browns, and the Ohio State Vs Michigan game.
Nick and JP are joined by Audacy NFL Insider Ross Tucker to discuss everything surrounding the Browns, they are also joined by Browns Linebacker Devin Bush. Nick and JP also debate if they think "The Game" will be close.
Welcome to Steelers Morning Rush, our new daily short-form podcast with Alan Saunders, giving a longer perspective on a single news topic surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers or the National Football League. Today, it's the matchup between Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris and a beat-up Cleveland Browns defense that includes former Steelers first-round draft pick Devin Bush playing a major role. Bush has been playing a lot since the Browns lost star linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah to a neck injury, and the 235-pound linebacker is not exactly known for his run-stopping prowess. The Cleveland defense has been leaking in general against the run, and the injury to Owusu-Koramoah and trading Za'Darius Smith to the Green Bay Packers at the deadline has made it worse. Can Pittsburgh take advantage? Alan breaks it down. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The line is small and the total is the lowest of the week around the NFL. If the Steelers win this game, are the Steelers the best team in the AFC? Do they stack up with the Bills or Chiefs? Poni doesn't think they have clearly looked like the worse team in any game this season. Chris has the Steelers at third, but said there's no shame in that. How bad would a loss knock them down the ranks? Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray gave a look at the current conditions in Cleveland and if those conditions give the Steelers a better chance. Will we see more Justin Fields tonight? Ray gave his thoughts on the red zone struggles. Ray doesn't think 6-8 snaps for Fields would be an issue for Russell Wilson. Do we see Mike Williams more than last week? The guys asked Ray if Pat Freiermuth will be more involved than he has recently. Is it still a philosophy of Mike Tomlin to not put the ball at risk over the middle of the field? Ray wants to see the Steelers run the football right at Devin Bush if he's on the field. Ray said it is 100% an embarrassing loss if the Steelers don't get it done tonight. Steelers-Browns Tale of the Tape.

Hour 3 with Joe Starkey and Brian Batko: The Mike Tomlin press conference. Devin Bush has 16 tackles over the last two weeks but Mike Tomlin didn't mention him in the press conference. Tomlin did a good job calling a timeout on the Ravens 2-point play. Nick Herbig took out both pulling Ravens lineman on the 2-point play.

Offense vs USC Starts at 1:00 Who's the biggest Kalel Mullings Stan?? Doesn't matter, we were RIGHT. Where does Kalel's big run rank among all time Michigan runs in terms of skill? Max Bredeson got his quintessential kick-out block on the touchdown that we will remember him by. It's great to see Kalel do all of this despite how long he had to wait. The urgency of winning a national title is gone but we still have these stories of the players. Was that run what propels this team into the rest of the season? Orji was under siege pretty much every time he dropped back to pass, the pass blocking PFF grades aren't pretty. The game plan wasn't the greatest and they could probably utilize Orji better. The coaching staff might've gotten arrogant coming off a national championship season. Donovan Edwards had a lot of snaps but did it keep Kalel fresh for the final drive? He's still a home run threat. Oh no we're back in the police car in Fargo. [The rest of the writeup and the player after THE JUMP] 2. Defense vs USC Starts at 45:22 This team feels like it has six or seven NFL players and those players are why Michigan won this game. Five of those are on defense. The defense played really well and USC's good things that happened were Wink doing dumb stuff. Michigan's ability to weather the second half was encouraging. Will Johnson left the game but apparently could have returned according to Sherrone (then why didn't he?). Linebackers played well for the most part. "Hausmann is Devin Bush but big" is mostly out the door. 3. Hot Takes, Game Theory, and Special Teams Starts at 1:12:43 Takes hotter than the servers hosting the Kalel Mullings fan club. Tommy Doman is back and the punters on every one of Michigan's opponents are awesome. Do you go for the kick return out of the endzone? Where else are the yards coming from? The urgency to score at the end of the game was poor but that's what happens with a QB's first start and when you can only run. 3rd down decision making is tough when you can't throw downfield. Michigan nailed the stripe-out and the atmosphere was electric. 4. Around the Big Ten with Jamie Mac Starts at 1:43:58 Penn State 56, Kent State 0 Penn State set a program record for yards. Indiana 52, Charlotte 14 Indiana is #1 in EPA per play! Ohio State 49, Marshall 14 Another non-conference blowout, meh. Maryland 38, Villanova 20 328 passing yards for Maryland is solid against a good FCS team. Washington 24, Northwestern 5 Yards were 391 to 112, Northwestern's offense is baaaad. -1 EPA per drop back. Rutgers 26, Virginia Tech 23 Rutgers outgains Virginia Tech by about 100 yards. LSU 34, UCLA 17 Not many people are expecting much from UCLA at this point after getting dunked on by Indiana. It was 17-17 at halftime, though. Iowa 31, Minnesota 14 Cade McNamara gets 62 passing yards and shows that he can lead block. Michigan State 19, Boston College 23 Aidan Chiles gets 241 passing yards and three interceptions. Sometimes this MSU teams looks like they're ahead of schedule and sometimes they just do something ridiculously bad. Oregon State 38, Purdue 21 Purdue is Wisconsin lite. Illinois 31, Nebraska 24 (OT) Nebraska has gone eight (8!!) straight OTs without scoring points. MUSIC: "With a Little Luck"--Wings "Devil's Gate"--Prof "Big White Cloud"--JJ Cale "Shameful Game"--Pale Jay

Happy August, and happy Eat Local Month! Or should we say *drink* local month? Both answers are correct, especially when you combine the power of local growers and local brewers like our friends at Wildbloom Beer have. On this episode of That's Rad, host Anastasia sits down with Devin Bush, co-owner and brewer to find out what goes into a can of Wildbloom Beer. Turns out, it's 99% local ingredients and a whole lot of thought. Spoiler alert: the company's commitment to locally-sourced ingredients stems from Devin's time at brewery school at the ripe age of 18. “Thought” doesn't have a flavor, but Devin and co-owner Beth have made sure it impacts where, how, and with whom you enjoy your drinking experience. The ingredients in this podcast include a refreshing conversation on the natural components to beer, a rundown of the craft beer scene that goes down smoothly, and tasting notes of floral and humor. Enjoy this episode responsibly.

While Colbert is a legend, there are lessons to learn about mistakes he made going down his final draft classes. Looking at misses like Jarvis Jones, Artie Burns, Terrell Edmunds, Devin Bush and Kenny Pickett, how can the Steelers be sure to have another strong draft class like Omar Khan's first haul? On the Friday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by Mike's Beer Bar, host Christopher Carter and Brian Batko discuss the Steelers' options in the trade market ahead of the NFL draft. Could the team's depth on the defensive line allow GM Omar Khan to trade a player like DeMarvin Leal or Larry Ogunjobi for some extra draft capital? And Does Nick Herbig's emergence at EDGE rusher potentially make a player like Alex Highsmith expendable and an attractive piece to move for an early pick? Our duo tackles those topics, looks back at how draft busts including Kenny Pickett, Devin Bush, Terrell Edmunds impacted the current roster, and ponders whether coach Mike Tomlin has been too loyal or not loyal enough to certain players.

Jake and Andrew are back once again to recap the Browns' 4th day in free agency. They have some banter to start the show on former NFL players loving to insert themselves into the spotlight once their time has passed. Then they shift to some conversation on the day's two signings in Quinton Jefferson and Devin Bush. What those deals mean for the Brown's defense and where the players fit. Then the duo closes with some quick thoughts on the NFL's rapid trade market of the past few days. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
The Browns continued adding to their defense on Thursday in free agency, agreeing to deals with defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson and signing linebacker Devin Bush. Mary Kay Cabot, Ashley Bastock and Dan Labbe started their Thursday edition of the Orange and Brown Talk Podcast by discussing those two additions to the defense. Can Bush resurrect his career here? How does Jefferson fit on the defensive line? Then they react to what they heard from two of the Browns' free agent signings on Zoom. Both Jerry Jeudy and Jordan Hicks met with the media and they talk about what stood out from each player and their first impressions of two of the Browns' first signees. On the Wednesday edition of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by Mike's Beer Bar, host Christopher Carter welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo with discuss the Steelers lackluster draft history in the latter years of former GM Kevin Colbert's career. How much are busts like Devin Bush in 2019 and Chase Claypool in 2020 hurting the current roster? What about misses on depth picks? And how much pressure does that put on current GM Omar Khan in NFL free agency and this year's NFL draft?Later, they get into the Post-Gazette's interactive Steelers NFL draft big board of top prospects that fit the team's needs. Why are Jackson Powers-Johnson and Zach Frazier the top picks at center? What about JC Latham and Amarius Mims at offensive tackle and Terrion Arnold and Quinyon Mitchell at corner? Then they wrap the show by analyzing the team's first cuts ahead of free agency, including QB Mitch Trubisky, P Pressley Harvin III and OT Chuks Okorafor.

Hour 1 with Adam Crowley and Cale Berger: Mason Rudolph won AGAIN for the Steelers and are still alive in the playoff chase. Passing grades for a ton of players and a lot of positives. There is a big trust factor with Mason Rudolph and he threw to the right people down field. He's playing like the Steelers best quarterback. Seattle and Cincinnati don't have great defenses, but the Steelers have underperformed on numerous occasions in these circumstances. George Pickens made plays and Rudolph gave him a chance deep down field. Mitch Trubisky played bad enough that Rudolph has the opportunity to thrive. If they go 10-7, the notion will be Tomlin did a lot with little but fell short. Joey Porter Jr. struggled against DK Metcalf early in the game but played better late. Metcalf became the first receiver to gain over 40 yards on Porter. Nick Herbig was a star with a big strip sack. Ben Roethlisberger live podcasted during the game and said he didn't have an issue with Mason Rudolph. He felt the Steelers could have drafted another player who could help more than a backup. He also said he tried to help Mason until Rudolph didn't want his help! Crowley thinks he's lying and trying to make everything about himself. Will the Ravens play their starters? Lamar Jackson missed the last chunk of the season last year with injury. The Ravens are on fire and might want to play their starters to continue momentum. Devin Bush had 17 tackles against the Steelers. He missed the initial plays at times and had to trail the play to make a stop. It wasn't as good of a performance as the box score looks.
Hour 3: Nick Farabaugh joins the show to talk about what is happening with Mason Rudolph's great recent play, if Rudolph will be back in Pittsburgh next season, if the Steelers will have a QB competition going into 2024, if the Ravens will play their starters on Saturday, if the Steelers will make the playoffs, and more! Donny won a big bet during the commercial break. How can the Steelers get into the playoffs? Dom's Game Balls. Nobody likes Devin Bush.
After a Christmas Miracle, led by Rudolph himself, the Steelers look to keep their playoffs hopes alive as they travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks in a SuperBowl Rematch from SuperBowl XL. The Steelers will be taking on two of their former first round picks with Devin Bush and Artie Burns both being active players for the Seahawks and both expected to get ample playing time. What to look forward to for this weeks game, injury updates and more. Go Steelers!
The Steelers are limiting Pickett to prevent a bigger QB controversy. Mason starting this weekend is the right call. Devin Bush and Artie Burns both are starting for Seattle. The character concerns remain for the Steelers WRs, but winning helps minimize those storylines. The Steelers need to win, as opposed to learning about Pickett. Pickett seems to be ticked, but will his confidence take a hit? Rudolph/Pickett is similar to Warren/Harris. Did the Jets make a big mistake by not going with Flacco early this season? Calls on Rudolph starting vs Seattle and Flacco as a potential future Steeler? Will there be a QB battle next season? Joe Flacco has been unreal with the Browns. He's proving that players can still be very good even if everyone else passed upon them? Did Mason have baggage that hurt his value last offseason? If the Steelers win out, their odds are 91% to make the playoffs. Bush and Burns are starting for Seattle. Which was the worse draft pick? Drafting for need can backfire in a big way.

Devin Bush or Artie Burns - who was the biggest draft bust? Jarvis Jones is also in the conversation. Will Pickett soon be on the list?
Crowley's car isn't insured and he's panicking. Now he's found it! Steelers vibe check - Crowley expects a loss in Seattle. A look at other notable NFL games this weekend. Devin Bush or Artie Burns - who was the biggest draft bust? Jarvis Jones is also in the conversation. Will Pickett soon be on the list? Pickett is so polarizing in part because he went to Pitt. The YAC went up because of Rudolph's ball placement. How has Pickett never had a huge game when so many backups are doing it? Steelers/Seahawks - odds and ends
Recap win over Titans // Abe Lucas // Devin Bush // Geno Smith’s press conference
Hour 1 with Josh Rowntree: Where do you stand with the Steelers? It's hard not to feel good for Mason Rudolph. He played well and had one good game. Jake Browning became Jake Browning again Saturday. The Steelers love drama. Rudolph balling out and throwing a touchdown on the first few plays was comical and a sight to see. Jesse James compared them to the Kardashians of the NFL years ago. They're a Hollywood team. Players like Eric Rowe, Mykal Walker, and Myles Jack helped the Steelers defense dominate Jake Browning. The Steelers will meet an old friend(?) in Devin Bush against the Seahawks. We remember Devin Bush and his dad calling out the station and being a pain when in Pittsburgh! Mike Tomlin will speak to the media today at noon. Josh thinks Rudolph will get some runs with the first team but Tomlin will let practice be their guide for Pickett and probably play him. Rudolph hasn't shown he can thrive when the pocket collapses. Josh thinks you go back to Pickett because he's the future.

Despite some early mistakes from the Seahawks, we saw some shining moments from Boye Mafe, Devin Bush, and some of the rookies on the defensive line. We also saw poise from Drew Lock as he was able to come back from a 0-10 deficit to take the lead before handing over the reigns to Holton Ahlers. With one preseason game down, we're ready to see some starters against the Cowboys in Week 2. Mike Jackson wants to matchup against Brandin Cooks and now he could have the opportunity. But we also want to see Riq and Spoon matching up against Gallup and CeeDee. With players nursing preseason injuries, we may not get what we want. The ultimate thing that could happen is some sadness from Jerry Jones over the outlook of the Cowboys season. Things got off to a good start for the NFC West as a whole. The Niners lost big, the Rams lost big and the Cardinals needed to rally in the fourth to beat the Broncos. A Pokemon pack opening former linebacker and a new face fad need to Do Better. Are the Seahawks "not messing around" in this offseason? With the amount of FA signings and activity surrounding the team it's hard not to believe it, but does signing Drew Lock mean you're not in the market for an early QB pick?
