The AFC is stronger than the NFC, which is another issue for the Steelers. The Steelers have fumbled the quarterback position ever since Ben Roethlisberger retired. Mullsy says that TJ Watt and Cam Heyward should be Hall of Fame locks. This roster would be ranked higher than 19 if QB wasn't weighted so heavily. Pirates broadcaster Greg Brown joined the show. The guys asked Greg if he had any idea why Ben Cherington hasn't appeared on his radio show as of late. Greg was going through the lineup for tonight and what Cherington could have meant by saying it's a better team this year than last. Was it dumb of the team to expect some of the older players to have big seasons? What is wrong with Bryan Reynolds? Greg gave an update on Jared Jones and if he will ultimately have to face Tommy John surgery, mentioning that it is always up to the player to get the surgery. The guys reacted to the chat with Greg and got into the sensitivity of the team. How much better did they expect to be at this point? Donny Football Debrief – Another college football ranking that will cause a stir. Plus, big Bill Belichick news.

Greg Brown: Cockpit Adventures from the Flying Carpet

"This might as well be Oz,"  I thought, upon clearing the clouds approaching Paducah, Kentucky. I wouldn't have been surprised to experience supersaturated sunshine, and perhaps a golden brick runway. Tales of faraway lands work magic on youthful minds, and although I'd never been here before, the stories of a special person from my youth had cast a spell on this Ohio River town as real as any bright-hued fairy tale. Audibles & Analytics podcast host Jon Ledyard joined the show. The guys had a few Shedeur Sanders questions off the bat and if he is as good or as bad as some draft experts see him. Jon said Sanders will only be as good as the structure around him, like a Brock Purdy in San Francisco at his best. Jon doesn't think Sanders has a special arm. Jon would not take a QB in the 1st round of this draft, citing the bad track record of that position in that spot of the draft along with the Steelers recent history there. Jon likes Will Howard in the middle rounds as someone to take a chance on. Jon thinks Jahdae Barron should be on the Steelers radar in the 1st round – a player that provides defensive versatility.
