Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady returned to training camp practice this weekend after missing practice on Friday. We examine the 'Brady Effect' and how news he misses one practice compares to when other starting quarterbacks do the same. Then, rookie tight end Cade Otton was the star of Sunday's practice with three touchdown catches on the day. We caught up with Otton after practice to discuss his experiences up to this point in the NFL. And we field a Twitter question about rookie cornerback, Zyon McCollum. Finally, we take roll call as players like Mike Evans, Julio Jones, Lavonte David, Cameron Brate, Sean Murphy-Bunting, Breshad Perriman, and Josh Wells all sat out Sunday's practice. Locked On Bucs – Daily Podcast On The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a top 10 rated wide receiver according to Madden 23 player ratings revealed on Monday. With Mike Evans leading the way, we take a look at where Chris Godwin, Russell Gage Jr., Scotty Miller, Tyler Johnson, Breshad Perriman, Cyril Grayson Jr., and others rate as well. Then, the tight end ratings were revealed as well, and no Bucs made the top 10. So where are Cameron Brate, Cade Otton, Ko Kieft, and Codey McElroy rated? Finally, is Rob Gronkowski really done playing football? Peter King and Camille Kostek don't think so. On the Locked On Bucs Podcast! The NFL depth charts are pretty set! The rookies have landing spots! We now have a decent idea how the fantasy landscape will look come July! So it's time to put a stake in the ground and make some rankings. On today's podcast we'll tackle the scarcest position: running back. Beyond the first several names, there simply aren't a lot of sure things, and we'll talk about why. We'll also talk some about tight end ranks and why our first inclination is to once again *not* pay to get one of the highly rated ones. Fantasy draft strategy formulations begin now! Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer takes a look at what the tight end depth charts around the AFC are looking like after much of NFL free agency and while the Falcons and Cowboys will continue to have strong TE1s, the big question is whether Rob Gronkowski will re-sign with Tom Brady and the Buccaneers or Cameron Brate will step into a huge role again. Locked On Bucs – Daily Podcast On The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made some roster moves on Monday, releasing wide receiver and return specialist Jaydon Mickens which can mean only one thing - it's Jaelon Darden time. In addition to the release of Mickens, the Bucs activated offensive lineman John Molchon. There were also some practice squad moves, with the Buccaneers releasing outside linebacker Elijah Ponder and signing long time cornerback Blidi Wreh-Wilson, who spent time with the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons. Wreh-Wilson will likely get a crash course in the defense in case the Bucs have to call on him to join the active roster, given all the injuries they're dealing with. Mailbag time as we had a string of questions sent in from Mad Dog. We dive into the discussion as to what the bigger problem for the Bucs is right now - penalties or injuries. We've talked non-stop about the injury problems, but the Bucs are among the NFL's worst in penalties, being called for the second most in the league while having the most penalty yards of any team. Then again, is one affecting the other? More discussion as to whether or not O.J. Howard should be dealt - especially now, coming off a solid performance in week six - for some help in the secondary. Or is it time to start talking about trading Cameron Brate? If it were up to us, would we be willing to announce Todd Bowles or Byron Leftwich as Bruce Arians' successor, protecting them from the rest of the NFL? Or when Arians retires will it be time to look for an overhaul within the building? Finally, it's never too early to start talking mock drafts, right? Of course not! That's why they call it Mocktober! There are some NFL mock drafts floating around so we thought it would be fun to see what positions the NFL Draft folks are starting to look towards for the Buccaneers through six weeks of the NFL season. o Pre-Order or Get Your Copy of "A Season In The Sun" Starting October 19th: https://bit.ly/2Z679aG o Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Bucs Podcast on these platforms… Apple: https://apple.co/3iOePFk Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3BwlScY Audacy: https://bit.ly/3FAcIhV Google: https://bit.ly/2X0IEdS Megaphone: https://bit.ly/3uZOcSo o Follow Locked On Podcast Network on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LockedOnNetwork Check out all of our NFL Coverage: linktr.ee/lockedonnfl Follow James on Twitter: https://twitter.com/JYarcho_BUCS Follow David on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DHarrison82 o Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!
