Lambpardy is back, but not as you know it! It's the dawn of a new age of Lambpardy. Gone are the previous contestants, gone is the winner-stays-on format, replaced instead with shiny new contestants and an even shinier, even newer tournament-style championship! The winner from today's show will not be back for the next one, they'll face off against the next two winners, then we'll reset back to square one until there's three champions, who will face off against each other and so on and forever until every film fan in the world has been defeated and then, and only then, will we truly know the Lambpardy champardy.First on the podiums of this terrifying new order are Aaron Neuwirth, Cameron Kanachki and Darren Johnson. Who will ascend to the next level? Listen to find out who wins, as well as hear us discuss Hamilton (many times), Possession, David Byrne's American Utopia, Mad Max and Blackbird, amongst others!00:00 Introductions04:12 Lambpardy Round 125:23 Get to know the contestants30:32 Double Lambpardy51:08 Final Lambpardy54:47 Rants, Raves & Reviews68:52 The Rambling Ramblers' Movie Game84:29 Plugs91:14 Out-takesThe show can be found on iTunes, but the Lambcast archives are now also available on YourListen.com, so head over there to find all the past shows available for downloading and listening too! Sometimes it takes perseverance, hard work and trying again and again to achieve success. That was the case for this month's Movie of the Month winner, Audrey, who put Sing Street forward time and again until it eventually defeated the other competitors. That's not so much a rule for the film though, in which sometimes you can just pick up a guitar and almost immediately be a great musician. Regardless, this week' we're rocking out to Sing Street!Audrey hosted the discussion and was joined by Jay, Richard, Meg and Nick to discuss music, fashion, Irish history and so much more. 00:00 Intros03:52 Sing Street review67:45 Rants, Raves & Reviews88:00 Leonard Maltin Game105:00 PlugsIf, like it seems a lot of people, Sing Street is a film that just passed you by, now is the perfect time to circle back around and enjoy this absolute gem. We've been waiting for a scheduled release of No Time To Die and, frankly, who knows when that will definitely be, so we've just gone ahead and finished our six-part James Bond Franchise Lookback regardless.Richard and Jay were joined by DJ, Justin and newcomer Tyler to ride the rollercoaster of quality that is Daniel Craig's Bond career, taking in some of the best films, characters and scenes, and many, many terrible aspects too. Yes, we know Tenet has been delayed again. No, we're not talking about it. Instead we figured we'd heighten our expectations even further by talking about all the other films Christopher Nolan has directed. At least, all the ones that don't involve Batman.Jay and Richard were joined by DJ, Zoe and Patricia to play around with time, magic and British accents as they delved through Nolan's filmography, before the usual rants and raves and a fun, entirely sensible game.00:00 Outro02:40 Plugs09:06 Flick Reverse It game16:00 Rants, Raves & Reviews35:19 Dunkirk discussion48:03 Interstellar discussion66:20 Inception discussion83:09 The Prestige discussion99:03 Insomnia discussion114:29 Memento discussion126:58 Following discussion140:00 Zoe ranks the Bonds144:00 IntrosThe show can be found on iTunes, but the Lambcast archives are now also available on YourListen.com, so head over there to find all the past shows available for downloading and listening too! Top Gun: Maverick should've been landing in our cinemas around about now, but at present it's changed course for a December arrival, but for all we know it could be circling overhead for even longer at the rate things are going. There are, however, plenty of films still out there in the world, one of which is the original Top Gun, directed by Tony Scott, so we're here today for a Tony Scott retrospective! In Jay's absence Rob, Joel and Heather all signed up to be Richard's wing-men and wing-woman to discuss a meticulously curated half of Tony Scott's career, and with a sadly unavailable Aaron sending in messages from back at base. 00:00 Introductions03:19 Joel ranks the Bond actors09:15 The Hunger18:12 Top Gun29:30 The Last Boy Scout42:04 True Romance62:05 Crimson Tide78:00 Enemy of the State91:44 Man on Fire103:20 Unstoppable118:27 Rants, Raves & Reviews129:40 Who Am I? In the non-Darkest Timeline version of the world, this show would be about Pixar's latest, Soul, which may well be the greatest film they've made, we just don't know as it isn't out yet. What we do know, though, is the greatest movie that Pixar has released, and we're here today to tell it to you.Jay and Richard were joined by David, Thomas and Doug to quickly, then gradually, then suddenly very quickly again determine the best Pixar movie. It was not an easy decision, and most of the contributors were probably more than a little disappointed at various points in the show, but that just means the answer is correct. For today. The name's four, part four, of the Lambcast's coverage of the James Bond franchise; licence to discuss the Bond movies four films at a time. This time Jay and Richard were joined by three more Bond fans, all of different Lambcast guest calibre. The name's cast, Lambcast, licence to discuss movie franchises. We're taking inspiration from ourselves, namely how we split up the Harry Potter franchise last year, and chopping up the James Bond movies into six chunks, which we'll hit at a leisurely pace over the next year. We're kicking things off with, somewhat predictably, the first four films: Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger and Thunderball. [EDIT: There was a problem with the audio for the Remake-A-Palooza section, this version has fixed that.]So apparently the LAMB celebrated it's 10th birthday a few weeks ago (October 31st to be exact) but what with all the hubbub around other areas of life it somehow got forgotten. Worry not dear flock, for though it was not technically intended for that celebration we have decided to mark the occasion with what is easily the most ambitious, and ultimately most time-consuming to edit Lambcast show in the history of the LAMB, it's our 400th Show Spectacular! We couldn't decide on just one topic for this show, so we opted to commemorate the occasion by discussing pretty much everything in our worlds of film. So this show isn't just a Movie of the Month, it's not simply a Draft, it's not limited to just being a game of Lambpardy, no it's everything, all packed into one show. And because it's the 400th episode, each segment is tackled for exactly 400 seconds, or 6 minutes 40 seconds. If you think that doesn't sound like enough time to talk about a movie, well after recording the show I'm more than inclined to agree. We were joined by a cornucopia of Lambcast regulars - and a few unfamiliar voices too - all of whose credits can be found down the bottom.
