The LAMBcast

A thirteen year old film, that has been derisively described as poverty porn, is our chosen film this month. Featuring an excellent supporting performance from Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson and a cameo role by Anthony Mackie, "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete is actually carried on the shoulders of two young actors who are on screen for nearly every scene in the story. Nicole Ayers of the "Mad Lab Post" championed the film and hosted the show. We lost one of our regular guests to illness but a super hero appeared at the last minute to join us and Howard Casner of "Pop Art" adds his insight to the discussion.  

Even if you think he is crazy, Tom Cruise is legitimately a movie star. Cruise in fact may be the last movie star who can open a film on his name alone. This week, Aaron Neuwirth, Stuart Bannerman, Justin Gott and Jeanette Ward join the show to try and build the best slate of Tom Cruise Films Possible. The talk goes deep and we have some fun occasionally laughing at each others choices, but really, there are not any bad choices (Except the Mummy). You will find a lot of films get a lot of analysis as well as a lot of fun. Come join us. 

We have one of our do it yourself episodes this week, as Richard and the Guests construct Top Five Lists of Cinema Related Subjects and share them with you. Howard Casner has been watching the Criterion Channel, Todd Liebenow found some movies based on TV Shows you might not know, Dave Anderson has a choo choo fetish this week, and Nicole Ayers did the unthinkable, she stopped watching five different movies and tells us why.  Richard pulls off the slickest trick of attributing Star Wars to the wrong Director and no one calls him on it. Abracadabra. 

Just over a month ago, we promised we would come back for the new entry in the "Final Destination" Franchise. So here we are fulfilling our commitment with ninety minutes devoted to discussing gruesome means of dying and re-ranking the whole set of films. Jay Cluitt steps in as host, returning to the show in his former capacity. Lisa Leaheey, Aaron Neuwirth, and Matthew Simpson are also here. Richard was out this week (although he does make a surprise appearance in a couple of spots) and Jay invited Justin Gott to fill the void. Does "Bloodlines" have what it takes to be a real destination event? Is Lisa ever going to get over that thing in the first film that bugs her so much? Will Matthew be able to point out all the Vancouver locations in the movie? Can Jay come up with either a game or an exit question? Will Justin lose all credibility by preferring the 4th film to the 2nd? and finally, what does Aaron have on Jeffrey Reddick. the creator of the Franchise,  to get him to come back to his own podcast? This week you won't find any deep film analysis, existential themes, or scathing social commentary (OK there is a Carter Joke and a Reagan Joke, but that's it). The Lambs assembled this week to mostly share what tickled them about this 1984 Comedy.  It sometimes sounds like the Chris Farley Show , "Remember that time the bookstore owner talked backwards?" "Yeah", "That was awesome". Jeanette Ward, tries to keep us all from sinking into repeating all the jokes from the film, and she succeeds in getting us to dig a little bit for some overlooked gems. You may not understand the movie better from listening to the show, but you will want to watch it again because Matt Simpson, James Wilson and Bubbawheat are enthusiastic about so much of the movie. Come listen to your friends talk about the film, like you are all in the seventh grade again. 

We are back after a couple of weeks away, and the MCU is back after a couple of months off. Actually, a lot of people think the MCU has been "off" since "Endgame", but is that true? Also, is this movie the solution to whatever is ailing the franchise? We do a deep dive this week into the comic book origins, alternative character arcs and generally everything Marvel related. Oh, we also talk about the "Thunderbolts*", a film that seems to be generating goodwill around the interwebs, but how do we feel about it? Jeffrey Lyles, Matthew Simpson, Rachel Wagner and Todd Liebenow jump on board for a spirited discussion of the newest in the MCU. "We Own You Now."

What "Jaws" did for swimming in the ocean, the Final Destination Series tries to do to airplane flight, highway travel, amusement park rides, sporting events and bus travel. You will likely feel uncomfortable with some of the grim images generated by the film makers of this series. That's exactly why we watch them, we are lookey loos at the accident scene, without the guilt of someone actually dying. Join the film's Champion Lisa Leaheey as she hosts the show covering the five film that have been released so far in this series. With a sixth one due next month. 

Most people get stuck occasionally, trying to decide on what to have for dinner or which pair of shoes to wear, or maybe the best route to take driving to the airport. You probably go with what is easiest, carries the least amount of risk, or something you have done before. Movies are subject to the same vagaries, we become paralyzed with the choices available to us and we default to a tried and true alternative. This week on the Lambcast, you are going to hear how four f our flock handle indecision. This week on the LAMBcast, we travel back to 1971, not to visit the new Magic Kingdom or order a cup of coffee at the First Starbucks, but to celebrate the movies that came out in this tumultuous year. We have a full show this week, with five guests and your host, all bringing five films from 1971 to talk about. Some people have themes to their list, some are just random, whichever it turned out to be, start making your own lists and adding any of these films to that list. Two Minute Warning came out a year before the better remembered "Black Sunday" and it features a different crazed manic trying to kill people at the American Football Championship.  Dave Anderson of the Free Kittens Movie Guide championed the film to victory in the March MOTM Poll and he hosts the discussion which includes Will Slater from Exploding Helicopter, James Wilson of Blogging by Cinema Light and Matthew Simpson from the Awesome Friday Podcast. (As well as your regular host) Charlton Heston and John Cassavetes try to prevent a sniper from killing a whole litany of guest actors at a football game. Is it a thriller or a disaster film? Come find out who gets it. 

The LAMBs have no common theme this week, except that they have been watching things that they want to talk about. We get schooled on a couple of streaming films, a couple of current movies, and a couple of older classics. Everyone had a variety of sources for their choices, and Aaron cheated by collecting the five Academy Animated shorts into one selection (good for him). We also go a short way down the Gene Hackman path, a deeper dive will wait until another show. The exit question was hard for everyone this week, and so they tried to cheat on that as well. Nicole Ayers, Jeanette Ward and Aaron Neuwirth have been watching things that they will steer you towards, and for a couple, away from.  

Time for some friendly competition as the LAMBs on this week's show compete to create a slate of films that will get your support as the "best". Aaron Neuwirth picks some classics and some Kaijo and of course one of them features a giant lizard. Tony Cogan represents for his country with Dr. Who, Quatermass and a short film classic that everyone will recognize. Dave Anderson may grouse about his choices being stolen, but he gets a great Disney film and two fifties movies that were good enough to get terrific remakes in the 80s. Matthew Poirier slips into the draft process at the last minute and stays true to his Direct to Video roots with plenty of fun picks. Finally, Richard plugs along, picking the best film available whenever someone passes it by. From 1900 to 1967, we have thirty movies that you will want to check out, argue about and most importantly, vote for. See the poll on the LAMB site. 

From a list of eight blind spots for the shepherd, the community went with the oldest film on the list. Perhaps as a way of mocking the age of the birthday of your host. "Kind Hearts and Coronets" is a dark comedy of manners that was release in the U.S. in 1950. Famous for Alec Guinness playing eight parts, it is a showcase for character actor  Dennis Price as the star. Three of the guests this week were old hands at this serial killer comedy, David Brook, James Wilson and Howard Casner had all been slain by this before. Only Matthew Simpson joined Richard as fresh victims of this drool Ealing product that is considered one of the greatest British films of all time. Set your headphones on stun because spoilers start flying immediately. 

Big surprise, a divisive film gets divided opinions on this week's episode of the Lambcast. The Vern Championed the movie to the MOTM spot and he hosts the discussion. Matthew Simpson, Bubbawheat and Richard are dumfounded by the film. Newcomer to the Lambcast Cayley, agrees that the movie is incoherent, without necessarily agreeing with others who share that view. So, is the 1981 film "Possession" from  Andrzej Żuławski, a horror film, a domestic drama, or a therapy session for a bad break-up by the director? If you have a taste for the weird, come and listen to some others who try to come to grips with it. 

The Lambs who showed up this week in the film pasture, did their own programming and created Top 5 lists of their own design. From comedic serial killers to Multiple Moby Dicks, we have an eclectic selection of movies to talk about this week. Don't let the slow January release schedule slow down your movie love, come hear what we all think would be fun to talk about. You may be inspired to create your own list.  

The start of the new year reminds us to look back on what we saw in the previous 12 months. Rishabh Vashishtha, Tony Coogan, Thomas Stoneham Judge and The Vern all gathered to share their Top Ten Films for 2024. We also have lists from Aaron Neuwirth, Mark Hofmeyer, Lisa Leaheey, and Matthew Simpson, in spite of the fact they could not be on the show in person. The guests who were live had almost forty different films to recommend, and there were some Pineapple Kiosk moments. We got a little rushed at the end, but you will want to hear what everyone had to say. Happy New Year and Happy Next Year!

This week we check in on the Robert Eggers film that opened on Christmas Day to see if it sucked. "Nosferatu" is a remake of the classic Silent film, which was an unauthorized version of "Dracula". It was remade once before in 1979 by Werner Herzog, so this is the second time a controversial visualist has taken on the film. The LAMB's resident horror critic these days is Lisa Leaheey, and she was quick to sign up for the show. Matthew Poirier of the "Direct to Video Connoisseur"   returns for his second episode and longtime LAMB Sean Homrig jumps in with just a days notice to join the show. We discuss the look of the film, the performances and spend an inordinate amount of time critiquing possession visualizations. The Exit Question of the week involves vampire movies so if you want to sink your teeth into the episode, don't wait...listen now. 

James Bond does not quite trade in his Aston Martin for a sled  and eight tiny reindeer, but he does show up at Christmas time with some presents for your stockings. Following a long tradition of unconventional Christmas Selection for the December MOTM, James Wilson of "Blogging By Cinema Light" suggested, and the community voted for "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", the sixth 007 adventure. Matthew Simpson of the "Awesome Friday Podcast" joins the show to talk about the new Bond, George Lazenby, the best Bond girl Diana Rigg, and whether this really is a Christmas movie. We never need much encouragement here to talk about a Bond film, and the three people on the show have lots of opinions. James provided a game as well and our exit question concern the 007 franchise. You don't need all the time in the world, just about 90 minutes will get you in the 007 Christmas Spirit. 

This week is a recommendation show, with a slight spin. We are looking for films to recommend for the upcoming holidays, but we want some less well known movies.  So we will Skip "It's a Wonderful Life", " Christmas Vacation " , "A Christmas Story" and instead look for What can be  discovered on Netflix, TCM,  the Criterion Channel or Tubi?  Maybe there is a great Treasure from the sixties that no one knows about, or a Hallmark movie that is actually worth ninety minutes of your time. Aaron Neuwirth, Nicole Ayers, Tony Coogan and newcomer Matthew Poirier bring you historical holidays, action Christmas Movies, Short Films and a lot more. 

Twenty four years after being asked by Maximus "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?", we are asking the same question about the legacy sequel "Gladiator II". Director Ridley Scott returns to the floor of the Coliseum to once again entertain us with battles, violence, political intrigue and even some returning characters. Daniel Chadwick-Shubat of Get Reel Movies, Aaron Neuwirth from We Live Entertainment, and Nicole Ayers of the MadLabPost are here to let you know what they thought of this extravaganza of Roman mayhem and pseudo history. Russell Crowe is not back, but his persona hangs over this film in so many ways. Is Denzel Washington enough to make this movie satisfy the crowd? You will have to watch and listen to find out. 

OK, we did not get to this on opening weekend, but there seems to be enough interest to sustain the theatrical run for a couple of weeks. 'For The Rest Of Your Lives, There Will Be Before You Listen And There Will Be After. Lambs, Verbally Acknowledge Please.' Heretic is the A24 Psychological Horror film starring Hugh Grant, cast against type as an intellectually curious potential convert to the Mormon faith. We have two sisters and two elders joining the show this week in the spirit of the Later Day Saints which comes in for examination.Lisa Leaheey loves her horror movies, will she love this one? Nicole Ayers is not a horror fan, will she choose door number 2? James Wilson is also not a horror fan, but he may be susceptible to Mr. Reed's lecture. Howard Casner is a skeptic of everything, and we will find out if he is too jaded to enjoy the film. We do a little criticism of casting against type in other films and suggest some non-traditional casting of our own. So as Monty Hall might ask, which door do you choose?

By an overwhelming vote, Josie and the Pussycats was chosen as the MOTM for November. This widely misunderstood 2001 release has acquired a much stronger reputation over the pat two decades. The satirical edge of the movie and it's meta-approach was largely ignored in the marketing of the film on it's release. Our herd of LAMBs this week however have made note of it's wicked insight into pop culture and music and we have some pretty strong positive opinions to share. Todd Liebenow, Bubbawheat and the Vern join the show and "Pretend to be Nice". For us the three small words are "This Movie's Great".

Every once in a while, the Lamb community collectively says, "Let's Get Lost". This week, we prove that "...all who wander, find some interesting stuff to talk about.". Nicole Ayers, Dave Anderson and Damien Riley join the show this week and meander all over the cinematic landscape (or as we might say "Lambscape"). 

We lost a few guests on the show but we did get a set of lists that cover the year pretty well. Howard Casner as usual, wants strictly the best. Tony Coogan is up to date on all the animation films that came out in 2010, and Richard plays action junkie on this weeks show. Get ready for the wayback machine to take you to your youth, or for two people on the show, their middle age. 

It's spooky season on the Lambcast, Halloween is coming and horror films are everywhere. We got a request a few weeks ago for a show that focuses on earlier horror films so it seemed like the right time for another draft episode.  This week we have some incredibly strange creatures who stopped living and became mixed up movie bloggers. There are a few reasons that we limited the entries to this time period. First, that was the suggestion from a listener that prompted the episode to begin with. A second reason is that I am looking for films that don't always get covered during the season. Let's try to broaden our tastes. Another reason is that 1973 marked a transition in horror films with “The Exorcist” breaking out of the horror ghetto and becoming a mainstream success. And finally, this limitation means that I don't have to engage one more time in an argument over whether or not “Jaws” is a Horror film. Aaron Neuwirth, Howard Casner, David Brook, Dave Anderson, and Todd Liebenow enjoy a "spirited" competition over their favorite older horror movies. Frankly, it is horrifying when the film you want is chosen right before your turn, listen to Howard scream repeatedly if you want proof. 

The October MOTM is a horror film, in recognition of Halloween and this year we have a truly frightening film, but still with a lot of humor. It comes from director Sam Rami, so that mixture will be no surprise to the deadites out there, but this film does not feature Bruce Campbell. Instead, we get Alison Lohman, being physically and mentally abused as a curse threatens to take her to hell via a violent lamia. Matthew Simpson of the Awesome Friday Podcast was the movie's champion, and he takes over the hosting duties. Damien Riley of "But I Digress" spends a lot of time admiring Miss Lohman in the film, and we talk about out favorite horror film directors as well. Plenty of spoilers, but with a film titled "Drag Me to Hell" you have a pretty good idea of what is coming. 

The polarizing dram project from Francis Ford Coppola has arrived in cinemas and thew Lambcast i9s there to talk about it. This week's episode is filled with a range of opinions, some of the guests found the movie abysmal, while others heaped high praise on it's artistry. One of the group gets yelled at for praising the film while not giving it a recommendation. We had no shortage of options. Daniel Lackey, Howard Casner, James Wilson and Aaron Neuwirth share their ideas, opinions and feelings, and isn't that what we all come here for? It is certainly not to check out any boners.  

The September Movie of the Month was chosen by James Wilson of "Blogging by Cinema Light". His choice of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" comes after three previous attempts with narrow losses. This week was no competition and James hosts the show. He is joined by Damien Riley of "Riley on Film" and also by Matthew Simpson from "The Awesome Friday Podcast".  Mr. Smith is one of the ten nominees for Best Picture at the Academy Awards, from 1939, a year that is considered the greatest in American Film History. Two of the people on this week's episode are veterans of the film, but the other two saw it for the first time this week. Come listen to us talk about this Classic film and why it is timeless and essential. 

Say it three times in a row quickly, and it will appear. Lambcast, Lambcast, Lambcast!This week on the show we summon the legacy sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton film, "Beetlejuice". Burton comes out of directing sabbatical to reteam with his muse Michael Keaton. They are joined by returning cast members Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara for a journey to the next world. The film is already a big hit, but does it deserve to be? Emily Slade, Rachel Wagner and The Vern huddle up to discuss the merits and faults of "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice". WE also discuss some film makers with distinctive styles and pick out our favorite Tim Burton films. 

This week is a do it yourself show. The five Lambs have assembled individual lists of movie related subjects and we share them in a Top Five Round Robin. Thomas Stoneham Judge is TIFF bound so his list features Audience favorites over the years. Howard Casner answers the question Tubi or not Tubi. Tony Coogan is not satisfied with a movie, he wants to see it on stage as well. Todd Liebenow is stuck in the 80s, but at least he has the Mall to hang out in. Finally, Richard is trying to score some tickets to the latest concert by a whole set of acts, but is having trouble finding their tour schedules. 

It is the 50th Anniversary of "The Towering Inferno", and enough members of the community thought that was a justification to vote for it in this month's poll. It turns out, we did this as a MOTM back in 2016, and for the moment, that is a lost episode. This episode is not lost and Dave Anderson from "Free Kittens Movie Guide" hosts the discussion. James Wilson and Matthew Simpson join the cast for this explosive disaster film from 1974. 

The Alien Franchise has been around for forty-five years now, and there have been ups and downs along the way. Fede Alverez, the director of the "Evil Dead" re-boot and "Don't Breathe" has been given the reins and our cast this week is ready to chime in on his work. We go spoiler free for the first half hour, but if you have seen the original film, there is nothing here that will surprise you. Heather Baxendale-Walsh, Lisa Leaheey and Damien Riley are all horror mavens, so Alvarez starts with a loaded deck, come find out how well we thought he played his hand. 

Six Lambs enter, One Lamb Leaves, at least if the community votes. This is a draft show with six slates of films, competing for your approval. Damien Riley, Aaron Neuwirth, Todd Liebenow, The Vern, Howard Casner and Richard Kirkham, struggle to choose from all the 1984 films available, to come up with a winning team. Do they choose films they love, or will they choose films they think you will love? Listen and find out if your favorites are selected and if so by who. No doubt this will be one of the big films of the Summer for 2024. Whether or not it deserves to be is the subject of our conversation on the Lambcast this week. Jeffrey Lyles from Lyles Movie Files, Bubba Wheat from Flights, Tights and Movie Nights and Pop Art's Howard Casner, join the show to mouth off about the two mouthiest superheroes in comic book films. The show is PG-13 but the movie is definitely an R. The spoiler wall comes down early (about 15 minutes in) and then you will hear plot talk, cameo appearances, and assorted other secrets of this hybrid Disney/Fox MCU film. 

Nostalgia for 1984 runs rampant in this week's episode as we check in on "The Last Starfighter".  Matthew Simpson hosts the conversation as the champion of the film, but Richard and Todd Liebenow are right there with him as we trapse down memory lane.  Tony Coogan provides a perspective on the film from a first time watcher just a few weeks ago. So join us as we tout 80s Digital effects, heartwarming story elements and the great contributions of two film veterans to a teen Sci-Fi film from one of the great years in movies. 

It only feels right that the Lambcast guests this week are of an age that they actually remember the Moon landing in 1969.  Everyone else will of course remember Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, two actors not born when the film they have made was set. A romantic comedy based on the loopy conspiracy theory that the Moon Landing was faked? Are we going to be pissed off, or charmed? You will have to listen to Howard Casner and James Wilson as they join Richard for this Trip to the Moon.  

This week we try to catch up with some movies that we haven't been able to cover in the last two months. Jeffrey Lyles, Tony Coogan and the Vern join the show to share the ups and downs of recent cinema encounters. If you are looking for a "Hit Man" or want a date with "Maxxxine", this is the place to be this week. So have some "Robot Dreams" while you are working the "Night Shift", a "Young Woman and the Sea" could do worse than these "Kinds of Kindness, ask "Axel F".

The first of at least three and maybe four films covering the expansion of the U.S. into the west, is the subject of our show this week. Actor/Writer/Director Kevin Costner has an ambitious story to tell and a huge canvas to paint it on. It may be a financial gamble but the three people on this week's episode don't think it is anything less than an artistic triumph. If you have heard differently, you owe it to yourself to listen to this point of view, we were all enthusiastic. 

This week we have three characters talking about three characters. Howard Casner and James Wilson mount up on their hogs to join Richard as we take a trek into the past with Jeff Nichol's "The Bikeriders". Tom Hardy, Jodie Comer and Austin Butler portray the three main characters in the story and we have some fun with their accents. The screenplay comes in for some tough scrutiny and the question comes up "Is there a story or is this an anthropology lesson?" We Finish off with a Viggo Mortenson Western, some TUBI talk, and a Maxxxine preview. Check your tank to make sure you have enough gas to get through the whole episode. 

Lots of emotions on this  show, most of which did not get a character in the movie. "Surprise" should have been here from the beginning, "Frustration" was shadowing Nicole as she got locked out of the film not once but twice. "Confusion showed up when Damien joined the show an hour in, and "Disappointment" hovered around Rachel and Richard, despite the fact they generally liked the movie. Join us for a very loosely structured discussion of "Inside Out 2". You might have a little "Anxiety" when you listen to some of the tangents we take, but you will be filled with "Joy" when you listen to the answers to the exit question of the week.

The "senior" staff at the Lambcast check out the new entry in the Mad Max Cycle (Motorcycle that is) of films. It takes two actresses to replace Charlize Theron, so the movie has some pretty distinct sections. We talk structure, action sequences and story and we get side tracked a couple of times on tech issues, but it's all very educational. The exit question of the week involves car stunts, maybe one you like was mentioned. Damien Riley, Daniel Lackey and James Wilson share their takes with Richard on George Miller, drug use for movie viewing and runtimes. This week at least the podcast is shorter than the movie.

Summer Season starts early in the movie industry. This week the Lambcast takes a look at the studios first pitch, "The Fall Guy".  Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are the stars of this romantic comedy that is disguised as an action mystery film. We have two opinions that are polar opposites and two in the middle that admire some aspects of the film, but find that it falls short on occasion. We talk about star chemistry, whether CGI undermines the stunts, needle drops and the humor. The spoiler wall is up until minute 44, so you are safe to proceed until then. 

After a tight vote the rebooted "Planet of the Apes" Franchise was chosen for the April MOTM. Charlton Heston will not be making an appearance, at least not as a featured player in today's podcast. Roddy McDowell will not be trying on a leisure suit or leading a revolution of house pets in any of the films we talk about today. The star of these movies is clearly Andy Serkis, who plays the ape Caesar, in a motion capture performance in all three films: Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, War for the Planet of the Apes. Matthew Simpson of the Awesome Friday Podcast is the host, he is joined by Nicole Ayers and Sean Homrig (for most of the show) as well as Richard. Get ready to go Ape for these movies.

The show goes on without the regular host, but with reliable guest host Howard Casner, herding the Lambs through a discussion of 1967, in films and the industry. Aaron Neuwirth, David Brook and Todd Liebenow share a lot of movies that came out in 1967, few of which would have been coming to your mind when you first heard the year to be covered. Drive-In fare, Spaghetti Westerns, and French films fill the episode. So maybe "The Graduate" didn't make anyone's list, there are still a couple you will recognize, and a bunch you will now want to see.  Surprisingly, Richard gets some films on the list even with being absent.  

This week on the LAMBcast, we take on that pebble in the shoe, the itch we can't reach, the sigh of frustration heard in line, the spoiler. You are being warned, this episode is out to deliberately spoil some films, complain about the spoiling of others and generally let film fans vent. We all love movies with a twist that works, and we share a few of those, so be careful. James Wilson from "Blogging by Cinema Light", Howard Casner from "Pop Art", and MovieRob, from his own site and podcasts join the show with thoughts about movie spoilers.

This week, the Lambcast tries trapping a new movie in our containment vault, the fifth film in the Ghostbusters Franchise (although some acknowledge only 4), "Frozen Empire". The new cast of Ghostbusters from "Afterlife" return to NYC and take up the family business. The Legacy Cast shows up in a variety of spots to check all the boxes, and having insured a PG-13 rating, we get a Supernatural Adventure film, which may be straying a bit from the roots of the franchise. Does it work, should you spend your money to see it, will you laugh? You will just have to listen to Matt Hudson, Lisa Leaheey and Todd Liebenow to find out. 

Well it happened again, The Vern won the Movie of the Month Poll and we got a film that is likely to be divisive. Exactly the way Vern wants it. "The Neon Demon" is a 2016 film from "Drive" director Nicolas Winding Refn. It may be a cautionary tale about the fashion industry, it may be a horror film, or it may simply be repulsive. Matthew Simpson, James Wilson and The Vern have very different views of the film. Whether or not you want to hang a single frame from the film on your wall as art, will depend first on whether you can stomach some of the ideas and scenes in the movie. Beauty isn't everything. It's the only thing. Are you high?

Like it's predecessor, Dune Part 2 was delayed from it's original release date, but only seemed to gain in interest as it moved further away. It has arrived and Nicole Ayers, Matthew Simpson, Nick Rehak and Thomas Stoneham Judge are all anxious to share their thoughts. Find an appropriate theater, lookback on previous Dune projects, and get ready for some enthusiasm from this week's guests. Most of us are already hankering for another trip to Arrakis.
