Look out for next week's Episode - Conversation with Jody MooreHave you ever told yourself a lie? Have you ever held onto beliefs that didn't serve you in a positive way? Sometimes we grasp onto beliefs or thought patterns that do not help us progress or improve. In fact, they provide the opposite. I have done this. Sometimes I still do this. Having a more positive mind set is something I am actively working on, however I do feel I have made many improvements. Today I share 3 specific lies I believed as a recovering addict. I hope this may help anyone who has these beliefs right now. I love you all, thank you for being here and following along!

Hey guys I am back after a much needed break. I'm sorry it's been a while but life has been busy. This is an episode that is honestly spoken straight from the heart. I love being a positive voice and sharing uplifting things, but I think there also something incredibly uplifting from being open, honest and raw with our struggles. Today I felt like talking about what it was like going from a drug addict to a "mormon". It wasn't always easy. Even now at times I feel like it's hard being "different". I'm going to let you in on a little secret, EVERYONE HAS STRUGGLES. Even me. Although a lot of my journey in recovery and finding faith and conversion to Jesus Christ has been incredibly easy, there has been times it has been incredibly hard. The message today is simple. We all struggle. Everyone is different. But if you feel like an outcast, a loner, a sinner, or even just feel frustrated, don't give up. Keep trying, keep going. Christ knows you, he loves you and he has the power to bring you happiness and joy.

This Atonement of Jesus Christ. In this episode I share my faith and belief in Jesus Christ. I believe that not only did he come to this earth and love a perfect, sinless life, but I believe he did so because he was the chosen one to come and fulfill something no one else could. He fulfilled the Atonement. He paid the price, he paved the way, so everyone who has ever lived or will live is able to be At One with God again. I tried to make it relatable, I tried to make it simple.. However the Atonement is anything but simple.. To me it is amazing and incomprehensible, but I believe it is real and i believe it is true. Can you believe we are on Step 10 of the the 12 steps to recovery!?! I love this step... the key principle is: Continue to take personal inventory, and when you are wrong promptly admit it. How many of us can say that every time we do something wrong we not only own up to it, but also PROMPTLY admit it. I wish I could say I owned up and promptly admitted my faults 100% of the time... but I'm human and still struggle sometimes. Not only does this principle help create a happier, more truthful and in my opinion better life... personal accountability was a huge part of breaking free from my cycle of addiction.

Today I am just opening up about my life. Life can be good, it can be beautiful, happy, filled with joy, laughter and love... but it can also just be down right crappy! No one has a perfect life. Despite what you may think, EVERYONE has trials and struggles to go through. My life is no exception. With that being said, I do think I have a pretty good life. I don't share things because I want pity, or sympathy or anything like that... sometimes I just think it's refreshing to be real, open and honest. With all the good stuff and the bad. In episode 19 I share my journey with depression and anxiety, experiencing loss, dealing with stress, and what it's like to feel like God isn't there, or at least not listening to you. I hope to be real, yet also give some light and hope. Thanks for listening everyone!
