The Giants season kicks off Sunday against the Commanders and everyone around WFAN seems high on them this year. Boomer thinks they will be much more competitive this year. They were a flat team with Daniel Jones and Boomer doesn't think that's the case anymore. Gio wonders if that translates into wins. Gio said they can't start off 0-2 in the division and then have to play the Chiefs. Gio thinks the Jets offense is going to be miserable. A caller thinks Gio is poo-pooing both the Giants and Jets on a Feel Good Friday. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked about the vending machine situation at WFAN and how bad it is. We heard the sounds of Kevin Harlan and Jerry Recco on separate calls as the Eagles beat the Cowboys last night. Dak Prescott talked about Jalen Carter getting tossed at the start of the game for spitting on him. Trent Grisham hit another HR as the Yankees beat the Astros again. In the final segment of the hour, an insane Giants fan said they are going to win the division. The Cowboys lost last night because of a turnover and dropped balls.
Hour 1 The NFL season got underway last night and Cowboys fans should be pissed that they didn't win that game. Boomer said Dak made all the great throws, but CeeDee Lamb dropped too many key balls. Boomer also thinks the Giants should look at both those teams last night and know they can hang with them. Gio thinks the opposite of that. And the game started with an ejection as Jalen Carter of the Eagles was tossed for spitting on Dak. C-Lo is in for Jerry and here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of a big CeeDee Lamb drop. We also heard Jerry Recco on the call for a key Dallas fumble. Carter talked about the spitting incident after the game. The Yankees beat the Astros as Trent Grisham hit another HR. The umpire crew had a rough series. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about tonight's Chargers/Chiefs game being on YouTube, which is different from YouTube TV. Hour 2 The Giants season kicks off Sunday against the Commanders and everyone around WFAN seems high on them this year. Boomer thinks they will be much more competitive this year. They were a flat team with Daniel Jones and Boomer doesn't think that's the case anymore. Gio wonders if that translates into wins. In the final segment of the hour, an insane Giants fan said they are going to win the division. The Cowboys lost last night because of a turnover and dropped balls. Hour 3 We started briefly with Cracker Barrel and Dua Lipa, then went to a caller who wants to see a 70 yard FG this season by that kicker on the Jaguars. We went over some of Al's Cool Games this morning. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of the Cowboys losing to the Eagles and CeeDee Lamb dropping a few key passes. Travis Kelce did an impression of Patrick Mahomes ahead of their game tonight in Brazil. We heard the sounds of the Yankees beating the Astros. The Yankees host the Blue Jays tonight and the Mets head to Cincinnati. Bill Belichick will not let Patriot scouts watch his team. C-Lo returns for an update and has all the sounds of the Eagles win over the Cowboys, the Yankees win in Houston and the Mets rotation for the weekend. In the final segment of the hour, Tracy in Atlantic Highlands calls in and asks if we like chili competitions. Hour 4 We talked about the NFL and Boomer said there are ten teams he thinks have a legit shot at winning the Super Bowl. Boomer thinks the Patriots will make the playoffs. Boomer said how about the Cardinals or the Falcons making the playoffs? A caller wonders what we think of the announcement that Mike Tyson is fighting Floyd Mayweather. C-Lo returns for his update, but first Boomer had a lot of great questions during the break about conjoined twins. Two famous twins were seen with their newborn baby. We heard Jerry Recco on the call as the Eagles beat the Cowboys. Jalen Carter was tossed at the start for spitting on Dak Prescott. We listened to the Jim Nantz NFL season hype video. The Yankees beat the Astros as Trent Grisham hit another HR. The Moment of The Day: Jalen Carter spits on Dak, Eddie hits a Hawk Tuah drop. In the final segment of the week, our NFL picks.

Hour 1 Despite hopes for a Feel Good Summer Friday, the Mets' disappointing season, potentially their worst ever, is creating a nightmare for Gio and Jerry. A "loser virus" seems to have infected the team, leading to contagious losses and a sloppy performance. Gio is frustrated, throwing a helmet off the desk, and both Jerry and C-Lo share his fatigue. Gio blames Cedric Mullins' poor route for a run, while Jerry sees the Mullins trade as a mistake. Carlos Mendoza is at a loss for words. A caller suggests firing Mendoza and hiring Wally Backman, but Jerry thinks Carlos Beltran will be the next manager. Gio disagrees. A Missouri caller rubs salt in the wound, and another caller's brother-in-law, a long-time stadium worker since The Beatles' concert, will throw out the first pitch. Hour 2 Gio fears a dark October for New York sports. Jerry sees the Giants' strong defense as a playoff hope, while Gio is less optimistic about the Giants and Jets. They discuss Shedeur Sanders, a positive Jets outlook despite potential losses, and the Mets and Yankees' playoff chances. The segment covers C-Lo's update on the Mets' struggles, Lindor's urgency, Mendoza sounding like Boone, Keith Hernandez's comments, Udonis Haslem's gaffe, Sal Licata's departure, and Darryl Strawberry's reaction to Pete Alonso's "down goes Straw." They anticipate the Giants-Jets preseason game, differing on the Giants' 2025 offense. The hour concludes with a discussion on Stanley Cup craze, crazy headlines, and Boomer's temperament. Hour 3 "Feel Good Friday" features "Surfside" talk, an online beef between WFAN callers, and the Mets' lack of an ace. Social media's impact is discussed, with Eddie opting out. C-Lo provides an update, while Gio asks Fliegs about Taylor Swift's new album. Gio and Jerry recall Gio meeting Dua Lipa. Mike Francesa's birthday wish for Jay Horwitz prompts a discussion of classic WFAN prank calls and famous on-air flubs. The hour concludes with a heated exchange between Dan in Carteret and John in Maspeth. Hour 4 On a "Feel Good Friday," Gio and Jerry try to remain positive despite the Mets' disappointing season. WFAN night/overnight shows are now streaming live on YouTube, with good initial viewership. A caller's teenage son got a hole-in-one after only a few months of golfing, leading to talk about the "rowdy" Ryder Cup. C-Lo returns for an update after Jerry fails to get support from Gio and C-Lo. The Mets lost, and a fan accidentally hit the SAP button. Howie Rose commented on an LLWS video on X. The Yankees play in St. Louis tonight. A Brewers fan called 911 over a free burger promo. C-Lo plays old on-air pranks and mistakes, including one from Jerry's overnight days. Moment of the Day: Mike Francesa wishes Jay Horwitz a happy 80th on Twitter/X. Finally, Gio and Jerry compare the Giants' QB room to other NFL teams and Jerry is excited for the Mets' MLB Little League Classic.

Hour 1 It was a "Feel Good" Friday post-trade deadline. Boomer praised Brian Cashman for the Yankees acquiring three relievers. Gio appreciated both the Yankees' and Mets' aggressive, prospect-preserving deadline moves. Boomer predicted a Yankees surge. Boomer was upset with Gio over a fried cannoli bet. Both agreed their teams met deadline needs. Jerry recapped the busy deadline (50+ trades, 100+ players moved, Jose Caballero traded mid-game). Boomer wanted David Stearns close-ups due to his height, while Jerry wished he was taller. Mikal Bridges took a discount for his extension to keep the Knicks under the second apron. The NFL preseason started with the Hall of Fame game. Finally, Boomer and Gio discussed the enduring impact of Russell Wilson's "Mr. Unlimited" video after Gio interviewed him, and Boomer interviewed John Randle for "Gametime." Hour 2 Boomer and Gio discuss flash flooding, Boomer's best teammate (Anthony Munoz), Robin Ventura's fight with Nolan Ryan, the 1999-2000 Mets, and BT and Sal's "going to town" phrase. Yankees acquired Jose Caballero, while the Mets traded for Cedric Mullins. Terry McLaurin wants a trade from the Commanders. Gio looks forward to Streamsong and Pebble Beach, and a caller suggests a golf psychology book for them. Hour 3 Gio's changing weather preference, McLaurin trade thoughts, Hard Knocks' Damar Hamlin spotlight, Yankees win, MLB trade deadline games, Mets playing time, Correa to Astros, C-Mac and Big Zoo's late-night talk, Jaxson Dart's learning from Zach Wilson, Jets fan's McLaurin opinion, Giants fan's Russell Wilson observation, and Boomer's take on Russell Wilson's motivation. Hour 4 Boomer and Gio discuss Aaron Rodgers, the Jets' Madden ratings, and a golf tournament win. Jerry grades the Yankees' and Mets' trade deadline moves. The Yankees won their third straight. Mikal Bridges extended with the Knicks. Joe Schoen addresses Giants roster flaws. The Moment of the Day: Gio reenacts a BT and Sal argument. In the final segment, Gio foresees a Yankees-Astros postseason collision, while Boomer believes bullpen additions suffice. Bullpens are increasingly vital in modern baseball. The Giants became sellers and will play the Mets.
Gary and Kaleb break down the first football game of the new season and some of the MLB trade deadline moves.

It's Feel Good Friday with Gio and Jerry. Gio questions how teams assess player investment, given rising salaries and players prioritizing money over winning. He believes some players, like the Knicks, Pete Alonso, and Francisco Lindor, care more about winning than others, like Juan Soto. Jerry agrees that players won't care as much as fans, and first championships are the best. Gio thinks older players were more win-driven, while modern players are money-driven. CLo joins for updates, but they discuss reality TV. CLo asks Gio about getting sick from licking his golf ball, which Gio is relieved is legitimate. Baseball is back, Jim Harbaugh is still a character, and CLo has a golf highlight. Gio wonders why Peter Schwartz didn't find Shane Gillis's ESPYs monologue funny and thinks Joe Benigno complains too much.
Hour 1 For a "Feel Good Friday," Gio and Jerry discuss player investment in skyrocketing salaries, with many players now prioritizing money over winning. Unlike most teams, the Knicks are praised for consistent effort. Gio believes losing impacts some players more, citing Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor as caring more than Juan Soto. Jerry agrees players can't match fan intensity, and no championship tops the first. Gio laments that most players once prioritized winning, but now prioritize money. CLo's update is delayed by reality TV talk. CLo asks Gio about getting sick from licking his golf ball, which Gio is glad was legitimate. Baseball returns tonight. Jim Harbaugh remains a character. CLo shares a golf highlight with odd background noise. In the final segment, Gio questions Peter Schwartz's lack of amusement at Shane Gillis's ESPYs monologue and criticizes Joe Benigno's frequent complaining. Hour 2 Note: You don't hear the music. Blame streaming service rules. Gio shares new music. A caller asks about Jim Harbaugh's 22 foul balls vs. Joe Benigno's 4 holes-in-one. Gio gifted Joe rolling papers and a porno for Christmas. CLo returns, shares new music, and Al's vacation audio. Marco Balletti pinch-hit for Infinity Sports Network. Sal Licata got upset with a Juan Soto hater. Gio displays his old mullet hair and recalls a 2021 boat party prank by Spike Eskin. A caller dreamt of BT being ejected from places, a common dream. Hour 3 The hour begins with dreams and nightmares, including listener calls and a sleepwalker's experience. A Princeton psychology professor analyzes Gio's dreams. CLo updates on Willie Randolph's surprise at not managing again, with Gio recalling hearing of Willie's firing in an LA hotel shower from Joe Benigno. Sal interviewed astronaut Michael Massimino. CLo also has British Open news. Finally, Gio and Jerry discuss CBS canceling “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” with Gio predicting more high-priced talent and shows will disappear due to unsustainable financial models. Hour 4 Gio and Jerry discuss a viral Coldplay concert video involving a CEO and HR head's affair. Gio believes their panicked reaction, not the kiss itself, caused the uproar, and he disliked kiss cams. They agree "bad publicity" is untrue. CLo provides his final update, discussing the Pebble Beach trip and Al and Eddie's non-golfing plans. CLo shares a recurring dream and "Ripped From the Headlines." Moment of The Day: Eddie's song. Gio wants to play an explicit band for Jerry. The show concludes with an update on the viral video and listener calls.
There's a lot less tears during this week's Feel Good Friday...but still plenty of happy feelings! :)
