This week on the OTCBPodcast, we're back after the Christmas break and getting you set for a quick, yet intriguing week5 Eli Salama and Roughnecks are off to a great start but it's going to get tougher from here on out and it starts with the return of Superman to the Roughhouse. Playing some of his best lacrosse, Salama has benefitted from playing 10 months of lacrosse between the NLL and PLL. Brandon Robinson and the Bandits are hoping the UpState New York snow storm doesn't play havoc with their game this weekend. After balancing a life of college-hockey and pro-lacrosse, BRob has found a comfortable role in Buffalo and the return of the power-forward role in the NLL. Plus how much of a concern should the injury woes be in Saskatchewan, can Halifax continue to score at an ungodly pace and what impact will the return of Austin Staats have on the Seals. We also give you a new twist on our BoxBets Parlay. All that and more on this week's OTCB.
This week on the OTCBPodcast we have two great guests who were very busy this past weekend. First up is Mitch Belisle who was on the ESPN broadcast Friday as the Desert Dogs debuted in LaxVegas. We talk about opening night, offensive jitters and taking the RedEye flight home to on the Island for the Riptide game the next night. Ty Merrow puts in countless hours away from the turf breaking down each and every game. Analytics may not be as widely used in lacrosse as it is in other major sports, but the numbers he breaks down really do tell an incredible story. Plus we look back at a wild week 3, take a guess at whats under all 15 teams XMas Wish List and take a stab at an NFL parlay in this week's OTCBParlay. All that and more this week, on OTCB.
This week on the OTCBPodcast we welcome back two long time friends of the show, Gavin Prout and Jesse Gamble. Prout is in his first year as the OC in Rochester, and so far so good- as the Knighthawks are out to a 2-0 start and could get to 3-0 with a win this weekend. A young offence with a lot to prove, and after the first few weeks, they've passed the test. Gamble has been away from the NLL for the past five years. But after a cross-fit competition, he got a call to return to the pro league. In his first two games backs, he's it in just nicely with the 2-0 San Diego Seals. Week 2 brought us a lot of intensity and crazy story lines. What can we expect from week 3? Plus, Shanksy is a full-time firefighter now, the Bandits could be 0-2 and Tanner Cook is a problem. All that and more, on this week's OTCB.
This week on the OTCBPodcast we welcome back Ryan Keenan and Steve Toll to the show, as we break down a wild and crazy week 1 in the NLL. Keenan and the Rush dominated the defending Champs on opening weekend. The offence is clicking under new OC Cam Sedgewick and with the reacquisition of Marty Dinsdale, are the Rush BACK?! Toller and PCLC got to watch week 1, but now in their 2nd season of existence, the bar has been set even higher. With a young defence under his tutelage, Toll and HC Tracey Kelusky have high hopes for this year, Plus, Duch is off to Denver, the Seals and Dogs will play outside and another round of BoxBets. All that and more on this week's OTCB.
This week on the OTCBPodcast we get real games, FOR REAL! With a double dip on TSN, we catch up with Mitch Jones and Ryan Benesch. Jonesy played just four games last year but still finished top10 on the team in scoring. Reunited with his old coach, Troy Cordingly, the Warriors star forward is looking to lead his team to the post-season. Beni is back in Halifax where he feels very comfortable in their offence along side his old running-mate, Cody Jamieson. There may not be too many more chance for Ryan but the TBirds are in win now mode as he searches for his first NLL title. Plus we give out East and West predictions, some award chat, a few very spicy hot takes and our first BoxBet parlay of the year. All that and more on this week's OTCB.
