We had the privilege to have them speak at the "Made for More" Women's Conference at The Chapel. We felt the Holy Spirit in the room during this conversation. This is a powerful devotional and none you have ever seen before.Find The Dearly Loved Company on Instagram @thedearlylovedcompanyFind us on Instagram _themompodcast_

Sometimes it is just good to laugh! Who would you answer these "WOULD YOU RATHER" questions? Our last Summer Shorts of the season. :)
Let's talk Barbie movie. Of course a childhood classic and the movie did not disappoint in fashion or creativity, but we did notice that this movie seemed to have some deep thoughts. We talk funny parts, but also go a little deeper to talk about some problems that the movie is diagnosing in society.
Hi Mamas! How is it going???? How is your "Self Care" during the summer?! We get you! We have some tips to help you have some time for yourself!
Are you traveling this summer? First take a listen to the podcast to laugh and past the time, and then bonus is you will hear some helpful game ideas for your kiddos to keep yourself sane and your kids entertained on these long rides.
This is part of our summer series... Today will definitely make you laugh as we talk about Disney Princesses. This convo might shock you a little with our deep and not so deep thoughts. ;)
This summer we will be releasing Summer Shorts! Just quick 10-15 minute episodes discussing any number of topics- funny, helpful, hard, silly, serious, We've asked our producer Sam to sit in with us and share his two cents also! He's got a really thoughtful perspective on things and we thought it might be fun to add a dad's thoughts to the mix also. But we'd love your help too! We would love to hear what you'd like to hear us chat about so leave us a comment here or on our IG page!
Somer and Barclay look back on their last year coordinating MOPS. They talk about some of the lessons, hardships, and great memories from over a decade of being involved in MOPS. They also share what's to come this summer and they need your help!
A great conversation about the importance to pray for our kids. Gina Dummer takes Philippians 4:2-9 and uses the Scripture to talk about how we can pray. Sometimes we find ourselves forgetting or making it more complicated than it is, but Gina reminds us it isn't complicated. The power of prayer and bringing our children before the Lord is so eternally important. *Jewelry that has scripture on it. Somer wears madisonsterlingjewelry.com with the Philippians 4:6-7 to remind herself that "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayers and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Rhonda Mitchell sits down with us and talks about what the Bible says about hospitality. Did you know that the Bible commands that we are hospitable? How can we posture ourselves to be focused on others rather than Pinterest perfect? We just loved this conversation and know you will too! Listen to Rhonda's original talk at the One Another Women's Conferencehttps://vimeo.com/showcase/10247567
Our very own MOPS Moms, Nicole Larson and Mikka Jacobson share their stories of why they love Jesus and what gets them through the hard. Because let's be real, life isn't all roses, but their strength comes from the Lord.
Girlfriend time! Barclay and Somer have a conversation after Somer shares on friendship at their MOPS meeting. An unedited convo with friends and special time together.
The truth is that we are different. We have different backgrounds, we have different goals, priorities and aspirations. We have unique identities and personalities. The truth is that we all look at life through the lens of our unique experience. The bigger truth is that if we know Jesus, love Jesus and are covered by his blood and adopted into His family; He calls us to be unified. Unity does not mean that we agree or align on every detail. Unity means so much more.*Latoya is a returning guest. Season 1 episode # 7 you can find her talk on marriage. One Another Women's Conference Speakers-https://vimeo.com/showcase/10247567
We sat down with Ellie and Blake Dole on marriage. Love is more than just a feeling, but a behavior we CHOOSE to walk in. Love doesn't magically happen nor continue to magically happen. Definitely a good listen!

So OUR very own MOPS Mom Experts from our group joined us on the topic of Kid's Health & Wellness. Kristina Granback who is a Physician Assistant and Catelyn Herter a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse sat down to talk about health and wellness. I love that they are both professionals and they themselves are moms. What a wonderful combination! It was a great conversation and we hope it encourages you. The theme this year, "We Go Together," definitely relates in this topic. Mamas we are here for each other, through sickness and health! ;)
We sat down with Reed Paul our Student Pastor from The Chapel. He is wise beyond his years, and might have scared us with the fact that we have 936 weeks between the day our child is born and when they graduate high school. Yep! Did that make your heart skip an extra beat? Don't you worry he has some great points to really make an impact on each of our children's lives. Definitely an encouraging conversation and great take-aways. She is hilarious and I think we could laugh with her all day.

In today's podcast Barclay and Somer recap their adventure to Scotland. This trip was a dream come true! It wasn't the easiest task to go when you each have 4 kiddos and it is the busiest time of the year, meaning the end of the month of May. But husbands said, "Go have the BEST TIME and we got it", which we were so thankful for.Barclay literally planned everything and we were on the move to a new location every day! Everywhere we stayed had a unique special feel! We just had to see it all, and boy we did!HERE ARE OUR TAKE AWAYS!THE LANDWe went from city life in Edinburgh to the highlands. So the landscape was exceedingly different from each of the areas. Lots of rain and sun all in one day. And lots of grazing throughout the hills. The size of Scotland is the size of South Carolina.FOODWe aren't the most adventurous when it comes to food, so we were a little unsure what we were going to be eating, but we never had a bad meal. Everything was delicious!!! We did have a lot of potatoes. And everything was fresh! They get their food freshly delivered in the morning and when it is gone for the day it is gone.CASTLESWe saw so many castles!!!! The history and stories were so rich! Some are historically preserved. Many more are not but are still standing if only partially. Learning about Queen Mary, Jacobites rebellion, and the pretender Kings. History that has gone back a thousand years. The Battlefield of Culloden was amazing to see and also so tragic thinking of all the Jacobites who passed.PEOPLEThe people were one of the nicest we have EVER met!!! They were helpful, genuine, and so kind. And the public bathrooms were always so clean!!!The WHOLE Scotland Itinerary can be found here on this google doc! ->Scotland ItineraryFollow us on Instagram at @thechapelmopsafterparty. We sat down with our MOPS mom friend from the past, Nicole Howe who is a woman with many talents. It was such a great conversation on walking in power. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-control." 2 Timothy 1:7. When people feel powerless, people tend to have one or two responses, either they power up or power down, but we talk about how Jesus helps us power through. Say What?!?!?!?! Barclay and Somer's mamas are in the studio?! Funny how much Beryl and Cindy have in common, and they both agreed their daughters weren't the easiest as babies and toddlers, which is still up for debate.... But these Co-hosts would both agree that their mamas know best. Definitely such a treat to have them all in the studio together. A podcast they will always remember and cherish. They shared their stories at MOPS and we call this special day Caffeine, Cupcakes, and Courage.
