Yeah, another podcast about movies and tv! But we still like to have a good time and it’s fun to have a variety of movie podcasts in your library!
We're back. And better than ever. Join Anya, Ben, Marlon, and Tyler for our favorite episodes, the seasonal box office predictions, and this might be our craziest one yet. Witness the most generational fumble of Tyler's life, see what treacherous movies can we pull out of this wasteland of a season, and finally discover if we want to get him back. This is the most fun we've had with the show in a while and we're very excited for the future, so stay tuned, and don't forget to do the great stare over these insane lists.
Amidst SAG and WGA strikes, the upcoming theatrical release schedule remains elusive. Anya, Marlon, and Tyler attempt to pick out what movies will rank amongst the current release schedule (Aug. 31st). In this episode, Cam and Anya complete the tiebreaker round and crown one of them victorious. After, Ben taps in for Cam and goes head to head with Anya to name the highest grossing movie of every year from 1993-2023. Much more to come from this series, we're having a blast!
In this new series, Tyler hosts a game show where Cam and Anya must guess a movie based solely on its box office. It can be a statistical list, a list of grosses, but the rules are all here. We are trying out this new concept and are very excited to get more done! For those of you playing at home, here is the list Cam and Anya were reading off: 1. (2021, WBD, Scifi) 2. (2017, Entertainment Studios, Horror) 3. (2019, Amazon Studios, Drama) 4. (2021, Sony, Drama) 5. (2022, MGM, Drama/Romance) 6. (2021, Open Road, Action) 7. (2023, Sony, Romance) 8. (2015, Fox, Horror/scifi) 9. (2008, Fox, Comedy) 10. (2019, WBD, Drama)

After this past awards season closed out, Anya and Tyler immediately looked to the future with the first episode of Awards Corner, the one stop podcast shop for all things Award Season. In the next year, will Barbie clean house? Will A24 repeat their success with Past Lives? And why the hell is Tyler making an argument for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny? You'll also get to hear their live reaction to discovering that Lorene Scafaria is now directing the untitled Bee Gees biopic for Paramount. Disclaimer: This episode was recorded last week before the release of Avatar: The Way of Water which both of us have since seen. The Oscars shortlists have also been revealed since then, deeming Everything Everywhere ineligible for VFX, Nope ineligible for Sound, The Batman and RRR ineligible for Score, and X ineligible for Makeup. We didn't have the time to update accordingly and didn't want to scrap the episode, so we're including a disclaimer here that those predictions have since changed. Anya and Tyler once again give updates on their predictions for the 2023 Academy Awards following the announcements of the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards nominations. We made some live predictions to spice things up as well as unpacking why RRR is now firmly in the race, and the gladiator match for the gold between Everything Everywhere All At Once and The Banshees of Inisherin.
