Welcome back to The Hustle Lounge! On today's episode, Graham, Kris and Colin spoke on boundaries. This is part two of boundaries, as Kris and Graham spoke on episode #9 of The Hustle Lounge. In that episode, they touched the surface of the boundaries, exploiting how it could potentially affect your financial goals due to allowing family and friends to overstep their boundaries eluding to asking for money. On part two, Colin and Graham elaborated more and went into the space of family and friends intruding on personal decisions and choices, to include but not limited to parenting and parenting skills. Boundaries need to be set and the team stressed that they are not set due to being bougie or upper echelon but more so they are set out of love and are in place to keep the relationships in tact. If you have ever experience resentment or passive-aggressive behavior in response to a request or an action from someone? You may need to establish some boundaries and also inspect what you expect by holding yourself accountable to the boundaries that you set. Happy Juneteenth Hustlas! We hope everyone enjoyed the holiday along with Father's day and reflected upon the reason and meaning of Juneteenth! We also hope you can build off that momentum to break the chains of generational curses and build generational wealth. Organisms best adjusted to their environment are the most successful in surviving and reproducing. As a culture, we've failed heavily at this concept as we have failed to adapt to the ever changing world and opportunities to educate and better ourselves. With this upcoming recession, we have the ability to change the trajectory of historical generational curses and failure. If we play our cards right, this is the chance to get on the right side of wealth. One may ask with the economy in a recession, how? Listen to this episode and execute. The winners in all recessions are those who keep their jobs (go listen to don't quit your 9-5), can generate extra income (side hustles) and those who stack their paper so that they can take advantage of low priced assets (small businesses, stocks, and homes). Warning, some of these moves will not bring YOU instant gratification, but ultimately what's more important, your kids future or you having a good time today? As always, the show will continue to grow with your continued support and help so please share and comment. In this week's episode, the team discussed how modern society struggle with ingesting the truth. Graham had an incident with delivering the truth to a family member about a financial decision. The family member felt some kind of way because ultimately the truth hurts. The team then paid their respects to Kevin Samuels, who recently passed away at the start of the recording. Graham broke down that his delivery was rude and could've used some fine-tuning, but ultimately there was a lot of truth behind his statements. This then spurred the conversation to talk about how the majority of the culture is misled due to not being able to accept the hard truth because living a lie and being accepted by society's norm is more comforting. This led to the breakdown of some financial facts per usual and the usual rant stating that we must unlearn what we were taught if it isn't paying dividends and building generational wealth! For this week's episode, Hustle Smarter hosted their first edition of Verzuz! Now we didn't pull out Graham's number one rap record from Japan (we'll release it once we hit 100 spins) but we had a financial debate about what is considered an asset or a liability. The conversation started about houses and if it is an asset or liability. During this one-hour session, both Colin and Graham used their personal experiences to prove their point on their beliefs. Truthfully, there wasn't a winner in the conversation but it was cool to see two brothers being passionate about how to build generational wealth. Ultimately, after the team reviewed the episode numerous times, we agreed that we would consider the home an INVESTMENT as any investment can straddle the line of assets/liabilities. Even with the debate, there were still numerous gems dropped so check it out, and enjoy the show as it's a rare occasion that this passion will be displayed. In today's episode, the team discussed the dynamics of mixing family and business. In chemistry class, you have to investigate which properties would have good or bad reactions when they interact with each other. This is comparable to doing business with family. The only difference is chemistry class is an experiment, but when you mix family and business this can be detrimental to personal relationships. We provided our insight and our growing pains while working together. We highlighted that a major key when mixing family and business is the ability to differentiate personal relationships and business relationships. We also identified that roles must be established from day one and ultimately if terms can't be agreed upon before the business starts they should never intertwine. Hello everyone, we are back! This week's episode is a recap of the team's personal feelings on Black History Month and their stance on it. This episode is a little different from our regular episodes as we are now filming in person for Youtube and with that, our approach is a lot more relaxed and fun. This episode does have gems in it as always, but it is also a little more entertaining that usual. Some of the highlights from this episode is what Graham believes that the Black culture needs to focus more on moving forward rather than looking back. While history is important, it is also imperative that we should be moving forward. Kris believes that we should have a deeper focus on history and that Black America needs better representation in the world. On this episode, Hustle Smarter spoke on the importance of accountability and how they feel about people who are always complaining and passing the blame on to someone else due to their lack of bad decisions. This episode was the prelude to Hustlin' Backwards, but the team felt that Hustlin' Backwards was ready to be released when it did. Hustle gets deep in this episode explaining how he had to face reality when he was in a financial dilemma and realize that he didn't have anyone to blame but himself. After he took accountability for his actions, he was able to then deviate a plan and get out of his situation to experience financial freedom. There are a lot of gems dropped in this episode, and as always the show will only grow if you help support it by not only following the link to donate monetary contributions but also rate and review wherever you listen and like/share/comment on your social media platform. On this episode, the Hustle Smarter team talks about the opposite of Hustlin' Smarter, and spoke on Hustlin' Backwards. You know, going out of your way to pay for overpriced Jordan's but don't have a vehicle or don't know anything about investments. I mean, it's cool but don't complain when the winners are winning… everything is balance, and you can do both, splurge and investment, but you shouldn't do 1 without the other, so if a choice has to be made, it should be definitely investing. It was a cool conversation between the fellas, check it out and if you have any inquires, comments or concerns email us at hustlesmarterllc@gmail.com. Happy Thanksgiving! This episode touches a few topics. With everyone eager to invest and find a way to generate more income, Hustle warns the world to be careful and tread lightly when looking at making these moves. This is not to discourage you from chasing a dream or a goal, but do the proper homework to ensure that their investment actually generates income and not become a burden. We like to mirror the statements from the Earn Your Leisure Brothers, "Assets over Liabilities" But in the same breathe, assets can become liabilities and vice versa. There were other examples given to include references to sports and rap music. Hope you are able to take a break and enjoy the time with your family, and as always the show can only grow with your help by sharing to friends and family rating and leaving comments if your platform allow. On this episode, Hustle Smarter spoke on distractions! With the recent events that had social media in a frenzy, this episode was right on time to discuss how distractions can pull you away from what you are working. Distractions can come in all types of forms, with the most obvious form being the addictive scrolling that one does on social media. Hustle even went deeper and started to say how he doesn't answer his phone for leisure calls during business hours as it costs him too much time and then he is playing catchup with all the work that he missed thru the day. Please, be cognizant of your distractions and minimize them as much as possible as they may be keeping you away from something that could be life-changing for you. Not only did they speak on the marketing techniques used by the big companies to reel the consumers in annually, they also spoke about the latter effects of draining your liquid capital on things that don't matter. As they went along in the show, they tapped in on different things such as why we shouldn't lie to our children and tell them Santa is dropping off gifts, how we should break down how gifts are actually bought, and we should also try to spend more uninterrupted time and attention with our loved ones instead of always on the phone as that could be a gift within itself. In today's episode we had a special guest, Mr. Ernest Sanders. Mr. Sanders is a lawyer and a judge representing Kris's hometown, Little Rock Arkansas. I know most of you are wondering when did Kris and G get into politics, but trust me this isn't that. This is a run of intense dialogue between three generations who all live off of the same principles and morals, and ultimately it became a culmination of majority of the episodes and validation that the blueprint and keys to success are there! We believe numerous topics previously discussed on the Hustle Lounge was hit in this interview, along with upcoming ideas for the next episodes! Mr. Sanders is here to introduce himself to the world as he runs for the Circuit Judge position, and he is also an avid listener of the Hustle Lounge Podcast. It is inspiring not only to have him as a listener, but for him to come and share his knowledge and wisdom on our platform. In this episode, it went away from the usual talks that we have. Kris brought up a recent social media post about $50,000 or dinner with Jay-Z…. Even though it's a funny topic and a pipe dream, Hustle explained on why he would take the money and sitting at the table would be unnecessary if you don't have the capital to capitalize. We also talked about the boss-up conference with Rick ross for 25K and why ITS A GOOD MOVE! He also talked about the importance of your demeanor and carrying yourself as what you portray yourself to be! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thehustlelounge/support
