Three friends discussing women‘s favorite shallow topics over a bottle of Prosecco, because the world is crazy enough, and sometimes you just need an escape. Occasionally, we dip our toes in the deep end of the pool, but it‘s rare and doesn‘t last long!
The Shallow Girls are back with new content, new Brűmates, new stories, and some of the same old shallow topics. They're on a quest to reach Episode 100 even it takes them 10 years! And you're invited to tag along.
The Girls enjoyed a late summer vacay with their hubbies, and a good time was had by all. The guys went to play golf and left the Girls alone with four bottles of rum, an egg cooker, and trying to figure out the casual setting on the washer. This week's Prosecco is Gigi and here's the link to the amazing egg-cooking technology that the Girls talk about in this episode.
The girls agree that center parts aren't attractive on most women. Pam's bangs are back, Tammy likes to "dust a little dirt on her face," and Jackie just keeps shopping. This week's Prosecco is Riondo and the cork pop actually set off Tammy's home security system. The Girls are on the search for the best makeup for old skin that hasn't been tested on bunnies or beagles (or any animal for that matter.) A little summer break is on the horizon for The Shallow End - so stay tuned for future episodes. In the future ...
Summer is just more days on the calendar - except it's really hot! The Girls discuss what goes on in a local Polish Lounge. They might be falling back in love with Victoria Emerson, a brisket cookoff is happening with The Shallow End Husbands, and Sam's Club may or or may not be a date night destination. Join the Girls for another conversation about more shallow stuff!
The Girls are podcasting from a new location for the summer! Caterpillar eyebrows are still a thing and summer plans are in full swing. Happy Memorial Day!
Rest in peace, Mickey Gilley - Jackie wears her "I rode the bull at Gilley's" T-shirt in his honor. Pam is all matchy-matchy and pretty in pink, while Tammy shares a story about a special bookmark. You know, just the run of the mill random stuff that you'v come to expect!
The Girls are celebrating Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day this week! Join them as they discuss the parenting styles of Canadian geese, glamping, yurts and treehouses. And why their new Swig cups have stolen their hearts! Two words: "Dishwasher safe!" Cheers! #swiglife
Happy Patches to the rescue! When anxiety takes hold (and when does it not?) the girls are hoping these patches will take the edge off. Vici Wellness Nervous Wreck Patches This week's conversation covers: big decks, Mexican leopard for $2.50, and riding the mechanical bull at Gilly's. Pull up a seat and join the Girls for some weekly girl talk. Welcome to The Shallow End!
The Girls are taking a 30-day break from Prosecco to let their livers recover. It's graduation and prom season, one Shallow Girl is considering cat grooming as a new career, and clodhoppers is not an appropriate term for women's shoes.
This week, the Girls are coming to you from Amelia Island! And what better way to kick off the podcast than with a Prosecco Sunrise: 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice Fill glass with Angelini Prosecco Add a splash of cranberry-pomegranate juice Enjoy the rest of your day! The Girls have discovered sunscreen with sparkles, how to communicate better with each other, the Alfred Hitchcock effect is alive and well, and sharing isn't sharing unless it comes from the heart.
This week's drink is pretty in pink AND gold! It's Viamora Prosecco Rose and it's pretty as well as delicious. The chub rub is real, and the girls are hoping for a remedy in the way of this anti-chafe stick. They're headed off to a working Shallow Girl Getaway weekend to plan for the rest of the year, and they hope to have some fun new content for their listeners.
This week's conversation includes: The most popular items are not always the best. The dark side of chocolate. The best way to get ready. (Makeup, hair, then clothes!) And the useful art of forgery. Have a good week this week!
The Girls are taking a break from video, but never from podcasting! Jackie's birthday celebration keeps spilling over into additional days, there's shopping at Tuesday Morning, drunk kayaking on the lake, and the realization that time spent with your girlfriends is nonnegotiable! This week's questions include: Do you have a favorite eyebrow? And, do you share desserts? Have a good week this week!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! The Girls are celebrating with a Prosecco Irish Rose: 1 shot Irish Whiskey 1/2 ounce grenadine 1 ounce lime juice Fill glass with Prosecco Garnish with Maraschino cherry and lime slice And remember it's St. Paddy's Day; not Patty. Get it right! Springing forward has taken its toll on The Girls, or maybe it's the Irish Whiskey. One can never tell. Add a new word to your vocabulary this week - JOMO! It's the opposite of FOMO. And it's OK to experience both.
The girls are celebrating the podcast's 2-year anniversary! Cheers! This week's conversation includes: bathing suit shopping, Pam's bad driving, nipple dimmers, HOA dues and designating a sh!tting bathroom on vacation. Join the celebration - it's like no other!
The Girls are celebrating Mardi Gras and living it up! Spring is around the corner and that means bunnies! Grits are on the menu, but not not everyone agrees on how to eat them. All that and more in this week's episode.
The Girls love a good science project! So, they're going to try a new product called Brewsy! Evidently, it turns any bottle of juice into wine! They also love celebrating holidays from the National Day of Calendar. Pinterest is back - did it ever leave? And The Girls talk wedding crashing strategy, because they're problem solvers!
Love is in the air! This week's episode includes talk about stringy lingerie, sister-wives without the sex, Hollywood crushes, and loving your local Mexican restaurant - even when they get shut down for a bad health score. The Girls highly recommend this week's Prosecco selection of Angelini Prosecco DOC (with or without strawberries!). Happy Valentine's Day from The Shallow Girls!
Say goodbye to 2021 and hello to 2022 - which doesn't translate into great New Year's Eve party glasses, but whatever. The Girls ring in the new year with Bottega Pink Gold Prosecco Doc Rosé. Always a good choice! And they've chosen their words for 2022: Faith, Peace and Gratitude. You'll have to listen to learn who chose which word. You just might be a little surprised. Happy New Year and cheers to 2022!
This year's Christmas episode kicks off with a Poinsettia or Poinsetta (how do you pronounce it?) Prosecco cocktail. 1/2 ounce orange liqueur 3 ounces cranberry juice 3 ounces favorite Prosecco The Girls visit with Santa and they put the final touches on their Christmas plans. Merry Christmas from The Shallow End.
This week's Prosecco cocktail is an old favorite - just add apple cider and Fireball for a spicy winter drink that is sure to warm you down to your toes! The featured Prosecco is Cecilia Beretta Treviso. It's delicious on it's own or mixed as mentioned above. The Girls discuss the comeback of cowl neck sweaters (they keep you warm and look great), wrestling cats, and the limit on how long to keep leftovers.
The Girls celebrate Pam's birthday week. and Tammy gets a belated birthday celebration, with raw cookie dough and Pink Rose Prosecco. This week's advice is don't spray yourself in the eyes with hairspray, but if you do, your own tears will help fix things. That is if you don't have breast milk available to you. Thanksgiving prep work is under way and The Girls will ready - one way or another!
The end of Daylight Saving Time is kicking everyone's butt! The Girls celebrate their 75th episode with a bottle of La Marca Luminore and discussing the options available for chin hair removal; including daughters-in-law, electrolysis and Tinkle razors. There's never a dull moment in The Shallow End!

And have you ever wanted to work the phrase "bloody hell" into everyday conversation? The Girls help you figure out how to do that. All that and more in this week's episode.
A short hiatus turned into a much longer, unplanned one, but the Girls are back - along with Pam's mouth! Want to know the best Halloween candy to pair with Prosecco? The Girls share their favorites (candy corn and Reece's Peanut Butter Cups top the list), and they can't wait to hear your picks! Happy Halloween!
"Hello, my name is Tammy, and I'd like to speak to your manager!" Evidently Karens have been replaced by the Tammys of the world, and The Shallow Girls have one of their own! There are deodorant issues in the studio, and The Girls decide leopard isn't just a color - it's a verb! Friday, Aug. 13 is National Prosecco Day, so raise a glass with The Shallow End and say cheers to that! This week's featured Prosecco - Bolla Prosecco Links to topics the Girls talk about: Tanaholix | Luxury Spray Tans Livin With MB (on Instagram) The Asher House Animal Sanctuary Accent Prone (MB's curated clothing line)
The Girls are binge-watching shows that may lead to new careers. Between "Grey's Anatomy" and "House," Jackie and Tammy are ready to open their own medical practice, while Pam is learning all her sailing skills from "Below Deck." Don't worry - they'll probably just stick to being professional Prosecco drinkers! This episode's topics include: Britney Spears, the quiet ears, and a trip to a sketchy package store. This week's featured Prosecco isn't a Prosecco, but a Cava: Anna De Codorníu Brut Rosé. Links to other things they talked about: Shirt extenders The quiet ears
The Shallow End Studio gets a makeover, and the Girls are loving the new look. Other than that exciting moment, they agree that this is probably the most boring episode to date. But ... the day is saved by this week's cocktail; a Prosecco Margarita! ~ 1/2 cup lime juice (fresh is best) ~ 1 cup tequila ~ 1/2 cup Triple Sec ~ 1 bottle of chilled Prosecco Mix all ingredients into a large pitcher and combine well. Run a lime wedge around the edge of your glasses and dip them (the glasses that is) into salt. Serve with lime garnish and enjoy! This week's featured Prosecco - Valdobbiadene (aka: the squatty bottle). Links to stuff they talked about: Revolution Pro Makeup Velvet Curtains The Shallow End on YouTube
Welcome to the "old people" episode where The Girls talk about all things that have to do with aging, and what they're doing to slow down the process. Including a visit to The Injector Artist! High blood pressure, crop tops, lip gloss that burns and of course a glass of Prosecco! It's all in this week's episode. This week's Prosecco cocktail: 1 - 1.5 ounces of La Pinta Pomegranate Liqueur fill glass the rest of the way with your favorite Prosecco - this week's highlighted Prosecco is Torresella.
Life is a three-ring circus with these gals, and this week's episode starts off that way! Tammy comes bearing gold leopard gifts, Pam riles up every dog she meets with her "canine" aura, and Jackie still hasn't figured out how to use the cruise control on her new car. This week's drink: Zardetto Prosecco with a splash of lemonade, and your choice of lemon-infused vodka, Limoncello or Orangecello - or maybe all of the above! Cheers!
Getting locked out of the neighborhood pool isn't a great way to start the day for a couple of the Girls. Pam is on a mission to save all the ants from drowning in the pool, Jackie's butt is sticking to her chair because her shorts may or may not be too short, and Tammy feels a little left out, but she has found her voice, and really just wants an invitation to things so she has the option to say no. This week's drink is Voga Rose Prosecco with fruit popsicles! A great summertime drink.
It's time to celebrate Independence Day, and the Girls are doing it with style - like they do everything else! This week's drink is Dragon Fire! And there's more shop talk. Actually, it's talking about shopping, but you probably expected that! Happy Fourth of July!
The Girls embark on the trifecta of warehouse clothes shopping! They discover that hackers are active and they're encouraging everyone to secure their accounts and use strong passwords. Preferably ones you can remember! And, yes, the Girls really do talk about their pets' bathroom habits. Riveting stuff, y'all! This week's drink is an Orangecello and Prosecco cocktail: Add 1-1/2 ounces of Caravella Orangecello to your glass of Prosecco for a sweet, summery treat! You won't be sorry!
The episode where Bailey was in the room! Jackie's dog Bailey visits The Shallow End studio and creates a bit of chaos. Pam shares that your daughter's wedding day is not the right time to start wearing makeup. And Tammy feels like there's a certain word that shouldn't be thrown around like confetti. Tell Pam that! Welcome to another episode of The Shallow End!
Malibu Rum in Prosecco? Don't knock it 'til you try it! There's a Rona Baby Boom going on because some of y'all weren't socially distancing very well last year. And those Amazon porch-package pictures have the Girls thinking that maybe they need to spruce up their front porch decór. Leave the Girls some love in the comments and don't miss an episode by subscribing via your favorite podcast listening platform.
The Girls give an introduction refresher for any new (or long-time) listeners who may have a hard time telling them apart. This week's Prosecco cocktail the Sloe Royale! The Girls are so excited about summer being on the horizon that they're wearing sunglasses and smelling Coppertone suntan lotion directly from the bottle. There's an important update about the rescue kitty, Little Luna, that you don't want to miss! And the girls realize that their husbands may or may not be listening to the podcast, so they may need to stop talking about all their shopping antics! Pull up a chair and join the conversation in The Shallow End. theshallowendpodcast@gmail.com
