Inside Strategic Coach: Connecting Entrepreneurs With What Really Matters
Are you thriving or just arriving? In this episode, Shannon Waller and Program Coach Lee Brower explore the lifelong mindset that keeps entrepreneurs in motion long after the initial motivation fades. Discover practical ways to make growth and gratitude central to your business, family, and life—plus the powerful impact of asking the right questions and building strong traditions that last. Here's some of what you'll learn in this episode:The surprising first job Lee created for himself before he was old enough for a paper route. What sparked Lee's deep appreciation for entrepreneurship and its ecosystem. How Lee defines the mindset that drives enduring entrepreneurial success. Why motivation and inspiration play different roles on the entrepreneurial journey. How to tell the difference between genuine confidence and mere arrogance. Why great entrepreneurs are more like rivers than you might think.Lee's most powerful lesson from three decades at Strategic Coach®. Show Notes: Not everyone chooses entrepreneurship—sometimes it chooses you. Money motivates at first, but it's the freedom it brings that keeps you going. The best lessons come from learning alongside other entrepreneurs, not just from teaching. Successful entrepreneurs focus on making things better, easier to access, and more valuable. Great entrepreneurs don't ask themselves what's wrong. They ask, “What's right?” and “How can I make it even better?” Problems don't hold entrepreneurs back; they turn problem solving into daily practice. Motivation is temporary. Inspiration and purpose are what keep you going. You can elevate yourself by surrounding yourself with people who have skills you don't have. Family traditions, shared language, and rituals build lasting culture at home and in business. The most valuable assets aren't financial; they're values, learning, relationships, and contribution. Never delegate away your Unique Ability® until you truly know and refine it. Confidence grows from gratitude and from focusing on others, not just on yourself. Great results come from being open to learning in every interaction. Instead of chasing answers, ask better questions. The enemy of thriving is arriving. Just be yourself! You can't microwave your way to the top. Ai has become a great tool in business, but it is being used as a replacement for authenticity. It is very evident when we don't want to do the work. There are moments when it feels like the enemy has won. You may want to fight back, get even, or even give up. But what if I told you that God has never lost a battle? Listen in on today's episode as I'Wanna reminds us that no matter what it looks like, God will always win.
I used to feel weird talking about my results. Like saying I've never not had a six-pack… felt douchey. Saying I built a six-figure coaching business at 25… felt like I was bragging. Saying I run six miles at sunrise and watch the water while I eat dinner… felt like I was trying to flex. But the truth is—I've worked my ass off for this life. And I know there are a ton of guys out there, 18+, who want this kind of life too… they just don't know how to get there. In this episode, I get honest about where I'm at, where I've been, and what I've learned that actually works when it comes to building confidence, direction, and discipline. If you're a guy who feels like there's more in the tank or you feel lost and are tough enough to ask for guidance—listen to this one. I made it for you.Let me know you listened: shoot me a DM @djlogory and tell me what resonated with you.

In this thought-provoking episode, we explore the rapidly growing role of artificial intelligence in the fitness industry—and why simply selling “sets and reps” will no longer cut it. Sean and Cody discuss how AI is already capable of building personalized training programs, tracking progress, and even providing habit-based coaching. The conversation highlights why the middle tier of fitness professionals is most at risk, and how those who integrate technology into their practice will thrive in the years ahead. The discussion takes a practical turn, outlining real-world ways coaches and gym owners can leverage AI today—like streamlining SOP creation, speeding up programming, and role-playing tough client conversations. It's not about fearmongering—it's about identifying where AI can free up your time so you can focus on the human side of coaching that technology can't yet replace. You'll also hear a forward-looking take on how advancements in pharmaceuticals, haptic technology, and automation might change what “fitness” even means over the next 50 years. The episode ends with a challenge: pursue excellence relentlessly, because that's the last thing to be replaced—and the skillset that will help you pivot to any new opportunity the future brings.

This week on Down the Garden Path, Joanne speaks with Erin Alladin and Sean Patchett about their podcast, Plants Always Win. Plants Always Win Podcast Plants Always Win is a podcast where two Ontario gardeners dive down plant-fact rabbit holes, answer audience questions, interview intriguing guests, and compete to bring you the most interesting stories and information. Erin Alladin, a.k.a. Earth Undaunted, is a professional communicator with a love for gardens, especially garden ecosystems. She's known online for her writing and videos about gardening with chronic illness and disability, as well as her background in permaculture and community garden-organizing. While chronic illness has kept Erin from making gardening her livelihood, she leaps at any chance to bring it into her work as an author, copywriter, and editor. Sean Patchett, a.k.a GardenGuyMuskoka, is a professional gardener, horticulture technician, and member of the Master Gardeners of Ontario. Sean completed the Horticulture Technician C.O.D.A. Program at the University of Guelph's Kemptville Campus and went on to build a landscaping design and maintenance business in Northern Muskoka. When he learned of The Master Gardeners in 2020, their mandate of freely learning and sharing plant knowledge inspired him to join. Sean continues to do public speaking and community projects. Sean and Erin discuss the origins of their podcast, the community they've created and Erin's latest children's book: The podcast began with Sean's initial attempts at podcasting, which later evolved after he connected with Erin through TikTok. Their shared interests and local proximity led to a partnership, and after experimenting with different formats, they officially launched the podcast in December 2024. Episodes alternate between: Plant face-offs, where each host champions a particular plant or gardening concept (e.g., Borage vs. Cosmos) and encourages listeners to vote for their favourite. Guest interviews, featuring experts from related fields such as entomology and forestry. Topic selection is guided by a spreadsheet, trending questions from social media, and input from their Patreon supporters, who are given advance notice of upcoming episodes to submit relevant questions. Plants Always Win has an active and growing community, including a Discord group. They regularly solicit listener questions and feedback, encouraging corrections and further inquiries at the end of each episode. Sean and Erin discussed the importance of context and nuance in their research, highlighting the need to evaluate sources critically and avoid spreading misinformation. They believe in fostering a love of nature in both children and adults, advocating for hands-on experiences and the benefits of getting “dirty” in the garden. Erin is also a children's book author. Her books, Outside, You Notice, and Wait Like a Seed, aim to connect children and adults with nature, emphasizing the importance of outdoor exploration and environmental awareness. They are available everywhere books are sold. Find Sean and Erin online: Website: www.plantsalwayswin.com TikTok: @plantsalwayswinpodcast You can find Sean online as @GardenGuyMuskoka. From a simple reading of Megilat Esther , it appears that Mordechai refusing to bow to Haman is what provoked Haman to issue the decree to wipe out the Jews. There must have been many Jews at the time who were angry that Mordechai had to be different, rather than just conforming like everyone else. That's what it seemed like, but Chazal tell us what really happened. When nine years before that, the Jews benefited from the seudah of Achashverosh, then it was decreed in Shamayim that they would be wiped out. The Mefarshim tell us, because Mordechai did not benefit from that seuda and because he did not bow down to Haman, he was the one who was able to be the catalyst to bring about the eventual salvation of the Jews. No matter what it might look like, when we do the right thing we always win. And when we do the wrong thing, we always lose. Hashem will not always make it so obvious. In fact, many times it will appear just the opposite, that it is the good people who lose. But it is only a test. Good always wins. The sefer Vaveh Ha'amudim brings a story that a man told about himself: Fifty years ago I worked in a butcher shop in Haifa. It was basically the only source of kosher meat in the neighborhood. I was living in a very small apartment at the time and I had to drive 30 minutes every morning to take my children to another city to the yeshiva that I wanted them to be in. The clientele in the butcher shop ranged from people just starting to keep kosher to religious people who were very particular about which meat they consumed. The sign on the door said "All our meat is glatt kosher" but there were times when the owner of the shop was not able to procure glatt meat and, instead, he took what was called "kosher meat" which was on a lower standard. The issue was, he did not inform the customers of this and there were people who would be mortified to find out they were not getting glatt meat. I couldn't watch them buying meat that I knew they would not want to consume, so when that kind of customer ordered his meat, I would tell him in a low voice, "The meat we have today is not for you, come back another day." I was petrified of getting caught by the owner, but I couldn't let the customers be misinformed like that. Eventually the owner caught me and fired me on the spot. During those days it was very difficult to find work. My children were hungry and I wasn't providing enough for them. But I kept my emunah strong, knowing that I did the right thing and Hashem would take care of me. One day, I met a man who came over to me who saw me looking so depressed and asked me what was wrong. I told him, "You want to know? I live in a small apartment. I have children sleeping on the floor. I have to drive 30 minutes each way to take my children to school. I don't have a job and my children are hungry. That's what's wrong." The man said, "I am a contractor. I just built a brand new building in a religious neighborhood right near your children's school. The apartments in that building are very spacious. There will be plenty of room for you to fit your children there. I have a deal for you. I will accept your current apartment now as a down payment for an apartment there and the balance you can pay me whenever you get the money." I couldn't believe this offer. I asked the man why he was being so generous. He said, "One day, about two weeks ago, my wife came back from the butcher empty handed, and I asked her where's the meat? She told me a worker there hinted to her that the meat wasn't up to her standards. I admired whoever that person was and I was worried about him losing his job. I just found out that it was you. I want to have the zechut of helping you for your heroic acts." The man concluded by saying, I thought I was sacrificing for Hashem, but now I see Hashem gave me much more than I ever did. I live in a beautiful apartment in a neighborhood that I want to be in. And baruch Hashem, I even found a job here with much better pay. When we do what is right, we always win. It might not always seem that way but it is for sure the truth. Purim Same'ach and Shabbat Shalom .

When it comes to keeping your online accounts safe, one trick that can work wonders is switching from simple passwords to passphrases. Instead of wracking your brain for random characters, you create a memorable sentence or phrase that's unique to you. Think of it like crafting your own secret code that only you can crack. With a passphrase, you're adding layers of complexity that make it incredibly tough for hackers to break through. Plus, since it's something meaningful to you, it's easier to remember without sacrificing security. It's just so helpful hearing about these two iconic figures in bhakti, and it's even more inspiring because of the fact that Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu authorized it and did it himself. What to speak of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, there is a way in which you always win with the basics. And if one maintains determination to overcome any obstacle, and also has a sincere prayer that "I don't want anything else, but You, Kṛṣṇa," then Kṛṣṇa says in Bhagavad-gītā: "teṣāṁ satata-yuktānāṁ bhajatāṁ prīti-pūrvakam dadāmi buddhi-yogaṁ taṁ yena mām upayānti te. That is, if you have that mood, or any mood that you want Me, then I'll give you the intelligence how you can come to Me." So this is a place where this yajña has been done many times by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Śrī Gadādhara Paṇḍit. Hearing these pastimes, we can come back to them again and again and remember how they did that, and take inspiration from these sections of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Roderick McLean said it was important to 'always cheat: always win'. A larger than life character, McLean, known as 'Popeye', was sent to prison when police and customs officers captured a gang of eight drug smugglers off the Caithness coast. During the raid customs officer Alastair Souter was killed when he fell and was crushed between a customs cutter and the gang's boat. The drugs haul netted three tons of cannabis, valued at £10 million.McLean, the gang leader, was convicted and sentenced to 28 years in prison. But there is so much more than this to the story - not everything is quite as it seems.Find out more about the UK True Crime Podcast:https://uktruecrime.comSupport me at Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/UKTrueCrimeSourceshttps://www.uktruecrime.com/2024/11/25/always-cheat-always-win/ Hosted on Acast.
