Joshua has received instructions from God - be strong and of good courage. His first instruction to the children of Israel is this - prepare yourselves for in three days we are passing over this Jordan to take the promise land. The first city to be taken was going to be Jericho. During this time also the river Jordan has overflowed its banks. How are the children of Israel going to cross this river? Never forget this - the greatest challenge to any great endeavour lies at the beginning and at the end. The first step and the last step is the most challenging. At the beginning, one has to contend with the sweet influences of procrastination but also fear at times. The fear of drowning if you start this project, this endeavour. Israel took three days to prepare. Never start a project without waiting on the Lord for divine intelligence. Joshua got to know how to cross the Jordan at the end of the three days. Let the priests with the ark of covenant move in first and as soon as their feet touches the waters it will part a way for you. Easy! Nothing can and nothing should stand between you and your promise land. They Ason realised that the first city to contend with was Jericho. What did Joshua do? He sent spies to gather military intelligence. People of God, whatever you want to do after praying research about it. Find out more what others have done in that same project, what was their challenge, etc. By intelligence Joshua soon learnt that the walls of Jericho are not ordinary. 12 horses can race on the wall. How are they going to bring this wall down? But you know what? If God has delivered a thing or a people into your hand no matter what you will take it. Joshua and Israel soon learnt that the people of Jericho are afraid even though their walls are thick. His also raised for them an insider to help them. Rahab, an harlot, who no one regarded is the one Jehovah raised as an insider for victory. Precious One this message is for you.
Joshua has now taken over from Moses. The first command God gives to him is this - Be strong and of good courage. Three times God repeats this instruction to Joshua the son of Nun. What does it mean to be strong and courageous? How can one be strong and courageous? Why is it needful for him to be strong and courageous? Remember this - God had assured him expressly that wherever the sole of his feet will tread He (God) has given it to him. Similarly as Christians today to who Hod has given all things that Perrin to life and godliness. If God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness why do so many Christians suffer? Exactly the same question I would have asked if I was Joshua the son of Nun. Lord, if wherever the sole of my feet would tread you have given unto me why the need to be strong and courage's? Yes, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Because you are going to do the division of the promise land. Be strong in the Lord and be of good courage because there will be many voices trying to seduce you to turn away from the word of God just as Adam and Eve turned from Him and disobeyed God. They eventually lost everything. Be strong in the Lord and be of good courage because you will have opposition like Daniel did. Precious one, this message is for you and you can't afford to miss it. Remained blessed and keep shinning.
The children of Israel are now at the border of the promise Land. The spies complained - the land is truly a land of milk and honey though, but the cities are walled and the giants are there. They chose to return back to Egypt. For their unbelief God promised them that they will not enter the promise land. Hence that generation wandered in the wilderness for 40 years until they all died except Joshua and Caleb. Because of walled cities and the giants the children of Israel feared to contend for what God had spoken of or given them. But two things: first the walls of Jericho were walls no one could have comprehended that it can come down. Yet by the word of God it came down without a dynamite. Secondly, when God spoke to the children of Israel after 40 years of wandering to break camp and advance. However, the first warning God gave to the children Israel was concerning the land of Ammon. God said to them, do not contend with the Ammonites for their land because I will not give you their land. It was the land for the Zamzummims (a people great, many and tall) like the Anakims but the Lord gave it to the children of Ammon. Who destroyed the giants and succeeded them. The second warning - the land of the children of Esau don't contend for it. The giants, Horims were there but they contended for it and the Lord God delivered the giants into their hands. People have contended with giants and have prevailed. Why should you think your giants are a match. No one is a match but he who has God on his side. If God be for you, your giants are no match. This is a message for you.
There are times in life we lose opportunities or fail to cease an advantage. Such that we continue to look back thinking - if there was a, way to turn or go back in time, we'll go back and make some good changes. This was the case of Eve when Cain killed his brother Abel. Abel was a great guy, full of life and the fear of God. He's been raised by his parents with hope. And suddenly his own brother would slay him. It was sad losing Abel but scripture says, after they had mourned they moved past that lose. Eve and the husband kept going. What happened? Adam knew his wife and she conceived and brought forth a son and called his name Seth. For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of (or in place of) Abel, whom Cain slew. I want to admonish you today - God will do it again for you. This message will bless you more.
It is good and acceptable I'm the sight of God our Savior if we pray for all men. Especially kings and those who are in authority. The reason being that if leaders lead well it will make our Christian life easier and our Great Commission work smoother. A typical example is how the church struggles through the Cold War in Russia under a pitiless atheistic leadership. It was a crime to possess a Bible. A crime that could land you in prison, killed or tortured. Yet in fear underground churches sprang up. Bibles were smuggled from other European countries to Russia through car tyres. May our country never get to this state. May we have the liberty at all times to serve our God. But it will require that we pray for all men. This message will bless you.
There are time God deliver us from suffering and challenges that comes our way but there are other times He does not. Not because we are wrong but because suffering for righteousness is part of the Christian life equation. Job was a perfect man and eschew evil yet he suffered for his faith and confidence in God. Precious One. Jesus said,”Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Our generation of Christians have been made to believe that suffering is out of a Christian life. This is not true. However, it pleases God any time we confidently stand for righteousness, suffer for it so that righteousness prevails. At the work place should not God and righteousness reign there? Are you afraid that you will lose friends, face and ease with your career progression so you are silent on speaking out the truth. Like Esau so are many Christians, who for a mosel of bread sold his birthright. Today, you can find many Christians doing the wrong things - living in fornication, adultery, equally yoked with unbelievers, accepted the person of the unrighteous. etc. Others are offended, murmuring and chiding for their suffering of righteousness, But how can the gospel go far without suffering or leaving our comfort zones to reach the unreached? How can others believe our report of the gospel is we cannot suffer for what we believe. It is the will of God that we pick our cross daily and come after Him. God bless you.
It is the will of God that you live a sanctified life. This is because whatever belongs to God he sanctifies. Not only that, those who are associated with God must be sanctified. God is the supreme One. Everyone who comes near must come to him sanctified. Sanctification brings holiness. It is interesting to know that it is sanctification that makes way for wonders. Joshua said to the children of Israel,”sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow God will do wonders among you. By this time, Precious One, you should know that you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation. Out of the masses God has chosen you. You are special to him. Will you not sanctify yourself to Him? It is the will of God to live a sanctified life. How must I sanctify my life? Take a listen this podcast and you will be blessed like never before. Keep shinning.
Shall not a man understand and walk in the will of God? Sure definitely. Had Adam and Eve continued in the will of God they wouldn't have lost the garden of Eden. Neither would they have had to till the ground to put food on the table. As a child of God, until you understand what His will is, you may be wandering in the wrong places and struggling with the issues of life. So Paul wrote to the Ephesians church. “...do not be unwise (or do not be a fool) but understand what the will of God is.” What is the will of God? To the Thessalonian church he told them - In all things give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Precious One, where you are today, and what you are going through give thanks to Him. It may not be the best yet but He who is the only wise God knows why. Give thanks. You have life today - Give thanks. Do you have strength or food to eat today? - Give thanks. Have you lost your job, your business or friend? - Give thanks. For the good and seemingly not good happenings in our lives and around us - give thanks. Why? For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. This podcast will bless you more.
In the armoury of God, the most powerful weapons are very small. Actually, in Christ the most effective things are not big, the most powerful weapons are not complex, etc. Paul and Silas were cast in prison because they did cast out a demon out of a little girl. They were placed in the inner part of the prison with chains on their hands Abd feet. Additionally, guards were placed on them to watch them carefully. There was no way out for Paul and Silas. What happened? Scripture says, “at midnight instead of complaining and crying they began to pray. After a while they went into praises and worship. They sang hymns, psalms and spiritual songs. Then suddenly...Suddenly there was an earthquake. Glory to God. Because God dwells in the praises of His people. In order words the presence of God filled the prison room. His presence and power were invoked by praises. Then the prison doors opened by themselves without anyone's effort. Their chains fell off without anyone's effort. Those gates and those chains of limitations are no longer there. Precious One, praises and worship puts God in charge of your situation. He will blaze through ahead of you. Jehoshaphat used this armour before. And scripture says he went to war against three kingdoms and he appointed singers to praise the beauty of God's holiness. What happened? The battle was the Lord's. He didn't even shoot one arrow. What have you been doing precious one about the challenges that confronts you? Crying? Complaining ? Looking for man to help you? I say unto you return unto God. Worship him in the beauty of his holiness and see the salvation of the Lord. Glory to God.
You know, Isaac said to Esau "your brother with subtilty has taken your blessing. I have blessed him and he shall be blessed. Esau wept and asked his father - Do you have only one blessing? In other words, speak and declare another and heavier blessing for me. But Isaac knew that blessing Esau won't be easy. The reason is that he had already made Jacob's brethren servants to him. So no matter how much Esau is blessed he will be a servant to his younger brother. Eventually, his father blessed him and placed the key to breaking his younger brother's dominion over him. Isaac said, "... And it shall come to pass when you shall be restless you shall break his yoke from of your neck". Precious One, if you can manage your present circumstances, it will definitely be your future. However, the day you will become fed up or restless with your challenging situation that same day it will be over. The scripture says Hannah went to Shiloh year after year to pray about her getting a baby but it didn't happen for her. Her husband told her, I still love you more than your rival so why should you care. But the day she got fed up with her situation she prayed like mad. She decided not to leave Shiloh until she gets change. When Eli realized the frustration, desperation and restlessness of Hannah he spoke to her - change is yours; go home. Exactly a year Hannah brought forth a child. What is also beautiful is that challenges brings out the best in you. By the time Hannah become a mother she was already a praying bulldozer. Don't you think such a mother will raise giants? Precious One, God gave Hannah a child but Hannah gave God a prophet. This message will bless you.
Every situation and every circumstance work together for good to those who love God. Those who are the called according to His purpose. A man who is purposeful will always have the forces of heaven and earth working for him. Without purpose, unnecessary struggles and challenges are inevitable. Joseph had a dream. His dream meant that he will become prominent and superior to fulfil God's purpose. His brethren set out to block the purpose of God for Joseph. He was sold; he became a slave. Yet Joseph refused to complain and murmur and frustrated. He did his best in his situation. He served his God and he prospered in Potiphar's house. He went from bad to worse. When he arrived in prison he blazed there. He remained focused and purposeful. Eventually he became the second in command in Egypt. When his brethren finally met him Joseph made it clear to them, “you meant it for evil but God meant it for good. For God did send me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance”. Joseph knew all this while that it was part of God's purpose for his life to be in Egypt and he chose to maximise every situation to the glory of God. Hallelujah. This message will bless you more
David was a man of faith. He made a profound statement in 2 Sam 22, “By I have run through troops. By my God have I leaped over a wall... He teaches my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms”. This statement shows how David blazed through his challenges with God on his side. Remember this, every one whose name was mentioned in the Bible worthy of celebrating had to deal with his own challenges and many of them blazed through. We can talk about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Hannah, Esther, Naomi, Paul and Silas, etc. You, having a challenge or a difficulty is no news. After all, man born of woman is of few days, and full of trouble. (Job 14:1). What is remarkable is that you, born of God, are more than a conquerer is the big deal. Abraham blazed through his difficulty when he wanted a child earnestly and it was not happening for him. He was old and he needed a child badly. In Genesis 15, Abraham met God on his matter. Three things happened and that was enough for Abraham to bring the supernatural into his situation, defiling all odds to emerge victorious. A cry of a baby was heard in the tent of Abraham in the fullness of time. This message of God will definitely bless you. Take a listen and your life will not be the same. God bless you more
When Rehoboam, a weak man wanting power, failed to unite Israel, Judah fell to Rehoboam and the remaining 10 tribes fell to Jeroboam. This was made possible by the prophecy of Ahijah in the days of Solomon. Jeroboam is now King of Israel by the prophetic word of God but then he began to think - the temple is in Jerusalem, Judah. If my people continue to go to Jerusalem to worship they may eventually fall in love with Rehoboam. Eventually they may kill me and hand my kingdom to Rehoboam. So he resorted to tactics - he chose to build two calves in Bethel and Dan. He said unto them, O Israel behold the gods which brought you out of Egypt. Paul said of the Galatians - O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you that ye should not obey the truth... Are you so foolish? Having began in the spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh? (Gal 3:1-3). In Jeroboam we see the insecurity of a privileged man. Insecurity can kill your reign. King Saul felt insecure about David. He would leave an entire Israel and go after David with 3000 soldiers. Many Christians are insecure in their marriages - they won't reign. Some are insecured in their workplaces - they won't reign there too. In our churches, we find some Christians insecured, they won't reign either. If God is our security; if God is the one who brings us into positions of service we can only rely on him. If God be for us, only with our eyes shall we behold the reward of the wicked. God rejected Jereboam. He became a byword in Israel. Precious One, let God be your security and everything will work together for your good. God bless you.
Rehoboam had just arrived in Shechem to be make king over Israel. Before he would be anointed, the elders of Israel together with Jeroboam came to see this young prince. They asked him if a favour - please make our burdens lighter...*. As young King he had no idea. But Rehoboam forgot that his position as a king was granted by God. Such that if he needed counsel it was best to go to God. Rehoboam firstly consulted the elders who stood before his late father King Solomon. They told him - "if you would serve the people they will be your servant...". Rehoboam did not find this counsel appealing so he consulted his peers or friends who he grew up with. They told him, "let the people know that you are going to be worse than your father. If my father chastised you with whips I will chastise you with scorpions". Mr. young king found this youthful counsel appealing. He went ahead with this counsel. The people refused to anoint him king. He was nearly lynched. This is Rehoboam error. He is weak. He does not even know the difference between quality and poor decisions. Further he finds his position as an opportunity to terrorise his own people. Weak people have the tendency to be harsh and abusive. But David recounted, "O Lord, they gentleness has made me great". In our day, when I see racism, tribalism, gender biased thinking, I see the wanting power of a weak man. When I see a terror husband, bossy bosses and arrogant officials I see the wanting power of a weak man. Precious One, are you walking in this error? Such won't reign for long. Take a listen to this podcast and you will be glad you did. God bless you more.
King Solomon is considered one of the greatest kings in Israel. He was a gifted man. A man God gave a blank cheque and asked him - “what would you have me do for you”. A question that revealed a type of favour, where heaven is eager to do anything just for you. The man never asked for so much. He asked for wisdom. That was surprising. Many would have asked for riches or the conquest of enemies. He did not. But rather wisdom to serve. A long who want to serve. Today, it's difficult to find servant-leaders. People, including some Christians see positions and leadership as an opportunity to receive service instead. God gave him wisdom and more. But unfortunately Solomon had a weakness he did not deal with. He loved strange women. A passion that seemed so harmless. But it is the little foxes that spoil the vine; the vines with tender grapes. Precious one, every one and the pulse that drives him. Or the motivation that keeps him awake. Some it could be money, fame, public acceptance, etc. However, if God is not our ultimate passion any other passion can drive us from God. Further, some of us are driven by pulses that seems so insignificant as a child of God - unforgiveness, lying, envy, jealousy, pride, hatred or bitterness, taking things which do not belong to you, etc. These are little foxes. If you don't deal with them, they will lead you far. Taking small things which do not belong to you will eventually lead you to taking big things which belongs to a nation. It all starts small. How can you deal with these little foxes? First, talk about them; don't suppress them. Confide in someone matured in the faith. Once you are open about the problem you are half way through solving them. Secondly, confide in the Holy Spirit to strengthen you to live above these passions or little foxes. Thirdly, always remind yourself that you are complete in Christ Jesus. Therefore you don't have to do the wrong things to have, to become. All you ever needed is in Christ. This episode will bless you like never before. Remain blessed
Remember - When the prophet Nathan appeared before King David he spoke to him with a case scenario. David the King was quick to judge that such a person who has taken a poor man ewe lamb must die. Nathan replied - It is you. It is a king-size error to take that which does not belong to you. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not covert your neighbour's wife. Because what belongs to your neighbour is sacred. If you insist on taking what God hasn't given to you, He will take from you and even more what He has given you. God gave Adam and Eve a garden. He did not give them the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They took of the tree; God took the garden from them. When Bethsheba got pregnant then it dawn in David that she is another man's wife. Failing to take full responsibility, David murdered the righteous with the sword of the unrighteous. Precious one, learn to take responsibility when it behoves on you. God took from David the favour of Israel. Ego or pride is what urges this king-size error. Take a listen to this episode and you will be blessed like never before. Remain blessed.
Remember that God has made us kings and priests unto God. And those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in this life by Jesus Christ. If we are kings, if we reign in this life by Christ Jesus, then it means the Christian, the child of God can only reign by Christ who is the Word of God. The early men who walked with God some were kings. God raised Kings for His purpose, plans and agenda. But some failure terribly because of king-size errors. Saul was the first king. His error that brought his reign and dynasty to a close was disobedience. He chose to alter the word of God. It automatically meant that Saul said, "God's instructions are not so perfect or so wise so let me help Him wise up". Any time a man modifies the word of God for Himself he indicates to God that he is wiser than Him, he knows better. This episode will help you sit up when it comes to certain mistakes we can pay dear in the foreseeable future.
How Shall a man define himself? What do you say about yourself? Who are you really? If a man is born again who really is he? Scriptures says, if the Son (Jesus) therefore shall set you free, you shall be free indeed. This means that if Jesus has set me free I am a free man indeed. See, many people are looking to be free - from sin, sicknesses, diseases, poverty, greed, crisis, insecurity, etc. As such many are competing with people, just that they may see that they are somebody, But see, I'm free indeed from poverty. I don't need to be rich to get anything I want for the Lord is my Shepherd. So I cannot want. Its not possible. I am immune to want or poverty. Glory to God. Who am I? Listen to this podcast and you will be blessed like never before.
Imagine finding yourself in a position where retreating is cowardice, halting is disastrous and yet it is impossible to go forward. What will you do? This exactly the state Moses found himself with the children of Israel at the Red Sea. The Egyptians were pursuing after them. The Red Sea was before them. Any man in this situation will be greatly confused. The Holy Scripture says, and Moses said or prophesied to the children of God, fear not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.... Moses and the children of Israel came through the Red Sea. They didn't need to fight Pharaoh; God fought for them. Moses knew how to prophesy by faith. Precious One, if your money can't buy, your faith should be able to buy. If the doctors have concluded it's not possible, your faith should make it possible. If man has told you it's too late, your faith should be able to reply them - "tomorrow by this time". Faith Prophesies the Unseen and declares what should be. This message will bless you more.
One of the major conundrum of many believers is how God can reveal His glorious mind to us, especially about our future, and what follows is a myriad of challenges pressing us almost beyond what we can bear. As a result, I have heard this conclusion many times - hell breaks lose when your prophesy becomes open. But not necessarily so. God is the overall ruler and anyone and everything can be a resource for Him to do what He wants to do. Including the devil. If the path to the fulfilment of your prophesy is through the backyard of the devil, God will still use that place as a resource. One truth we must appreciate is this - at times the road to the fulfilment of the prophesy or the word of faith is forward and upwards. However, at other times, it is downward and backwards. Yet it will bring you to the desired place of your faith. This is what happened to Joseph. He was his father's favourite. And it came to pass that he had a lofty dream one day. This dream was his word of faith. Not long the beloved of the father Jacob was sold to the Ishmaelite (that's bad). The Ishmaelite sold him as a slave to Portipha (that's worse) and eventually he arrived in prison (that's worst). Little did he know that it was a prison door that will lead him to the destiny which can, and must be his. Joseph maintained a composure of faith that sees no setback. How did he do that? Take a listen to this message and you will be blessed that you did. God bless you more
Faith is faith when it comes out of hearing, and hearing by the word of God. If faith comes by anything else its not the God-kind of faith. See, science can give people faith. After all, before the current crisis it had been believed by many that science will change the world for the best. Money can give people faith. That their future is secured. Others, it's their good job, or in a person who has promised them the world. But to put confidence in something that today is, and tomorrow its not is to build your house in the sinking sand. Everything in this life is capable of being affected by time, space and matter. Only God alone lives beyond the influence of these. When Elisha, by the word of faith, said tomorrow by this time... Someone said it's not possible because of time factor. Isaac came into a year of famine. He was weighing his options. One option, which was to go to Egypt. Due to the Nile river food production is still possible in that time of famine or drought. Then the word of God came to him saying - do not go to Egypt but stay here and plant within this famine or drought and I will bless you. Another option has suddenly come on board by the word of God. Which one will you go for? Precious One, if you find yourself in a situation where your eyes and common sense tells you it is not possible yet there's a small gentle voice saying it's possible what will you do? What did Isaac do? Take a listen to this podcast and it will bless you like never before.
True is audacious. Faith is confident. Faith does not consider that doubt - "what if..." Faith is daring. Abraham received the word of faith - leave your father's house, your country and your people to a place I will show you of. Lord where am I going? At least let me know so I can see if I like the place. Can you imagine embarking on a journey you don't know the destination? The Word of faith given to Abraham was not enough to inspire confidence but Abraham left, not knowing where he went. How was he able to take that step of faith with such an Audacity? It is risky. At least use your common sense. I remember many years ago when I heard from God in Kigali to quit my job to focus on ministry. In one month I had left my job and was home. Many heard of my decision and they wondered why I will do that as a young man. "After all, if God speaks to you, common sense should tell you to plan and strategize your exit", many preached me. Precious One, it is written if you hear His voice (or the word of faith) today do not harden your heart. In other words, the window of obedience to the word of faith is today. If you respond tomorrow your obedience is imperfect; your faith lacks audacity. You will need Audacity to respond to the word of faith today. Abraham left home with his wife and father and nephew Lot. What happened next? This message will bless you more.
Until we practice to respond to faith and respond by faith we are not going to build the unbreakable faith required in the foreseeable future. Paul said to Timothy and the church in general that in the last days, know that perilous times shall come. When that time comes which is not far from us, it will be futile to now build your faith. Remember this, faith Walks with God. Enoch was a man like you and me but he made a choice - to walk with God. He saw that nothing is as important as God Himself. If God is so important in his life then he is going to associate with Him , learn and imitate Him , and also please Him. To walk with God as used in the scripture above connotes the idea of someone who, for instance wants to exercise and he puts on the TV and practices alongside an instructor. Thus, he watches the TV and does exactly as the instruct says and does. So first, you must accept God as your instructor. Not only that you must watch or study Him and practice what you see. Glory to God! Today many Christians lack the faith they signed on to. They have a different work life which is not different from other unbelievers. In the office they are in league with unbelievers to do unrighteousness. On Sundays they have a different life. They join other believers to fellowship. This is not how to walk with God. A man or woman of faith allows his/her faith to determine his thoughts, words and action irrespective of where he finds himself. No one was to pray in the Persian kingdom. Daniel, a man of faith, did not allow the Persian law determine his faith walk. Precious One, are you a woman or man of faith? Do you walk with God in your workplace, your home and your relationships? Do you walk with God in your finances, your sexuality and your overall pursuits? The just shall live by faith. This message will bless you more.
The years ahead, mankind will not require prosperity message, or psychology message to live a healthy life, it will require our consistent response to the word of faith. In the face of crisis, pandemic, persecution and severe oppression it will require an unbreakable faith. But, you know, faith must contend with different kind of oppositions to stand tall. One of them is the sweet influences of disobedience. Adam and Eve had the word of faith with them - of all the trees in the garden you may freely eat but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat.... One day someone showed up and began to engage them. This new person promises them huge opportunities if they eat the fruits. This person seems to have their interest at heart than God. This person happened to be the serpent. Just as disobedience promises so much but delivers nothing but sorrows so in our days the world system, advertisement, and many false prophets promises so much and delivers nothing. Don't you think that Eve should have asked the serpent, "who are you that I should believe you - friend, master, God's boss or who?" This message will give you deeper insight to responding to faith in the faith of sweet influences.
Some Christians, if not many, have come to a kind of an understanding that when it comes to dealing with the devil, you have to plead or entreat God. In other words, "O Lord let the devil fail in his effort against...". But that is wrong. If you say Lord let, it means you are requesting God to take the responsibility of stopping the devil. The Bible never said that God is responsible for the devil. Then who is? I am excited to tell you that you are responsible for the devil. See, as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God. Even to them that believed on His name. Wow! Have you received on Him? Have you believed on His name? O, then you have also received the power of a son or daughter of God. What is this power for? Of course, to take care of the devil and anything that will want to be a thorn in our lives. Sampson was given power to keep the Philistines in their place. The Philistines became restless and sought avenues to deprive him or quench that power. When you are powerful the devil can't sleep. He gets so busy because of you. Precious One, you are very powerful in Christ. Don't leave the devil to God, it is in your power to handle the devil. If you don't deal with the demon of Fear he will deal with you. Jesus arose and rebuked the winds and the sea and there was a great calm. We rebuke anything that wants to play the fool in our lives. I dare you today in the name of Him who died and rose again, if you will rebuke the devil of Fear there will be a great calm in your life. Don't pray, rebuke. How should I rebuke the devil? This message will help you to understand how to rebuke the devil once and he will say "yes sir". This message will bless you more.
Why are you fearful? Is it not because your faith has become little? And as a result fear is trying to fill the vacuum. Why are you fearful? Is it not that you have not been building on your faith day by day? Hence the circumstances of life are overwhelming you and fear is trying to lord over your peace. If faith is little we will need to build it up. The more faith grows and enlarges fear also shrinks and dissipate. How do you increase your faith? Go back to the word, read it, meditate on it and confess it out loud to yourself. Remind yourself of the things God has said about you. Say the same thing that God's word is saying. "I am of God. I originate from Him. And have overcome fear because greater is He that is in me than the spirit of Fear." 1 John 3:3. Keep confessing it. Then the spirit of the Word will begin to generate more faith inside you. Glory to God! This message will bless you.
Definitely, we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, suggesting that fear is a spirit. Fear is a demonic bondage. As children of God we have been redeemed from bondage. Hence we can no longer be subject to fear. Never nurse fear but deal with fear quickly. The demonic spirit of Fear has the ability to open doors for other demons to enter your life. You and me we have received the spirit of adoption, meaning we have come into sonship before God. And as sons and daughters we have obtained authority to deal with the devil. So in dealing with the devil you don't have to look towards heaven. You don't have to pray. Because demons don't respond to prayer but authority and the authority you need to put the devil in his place is inside you. Don't forget what is written, "Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee..." Resist means withstand, don't give him chance or permission, oppose him. This means, call the devil and address him personally. Command him with all boldness inside your spirit and charge him what he should do in the name of Jesus Christ. I bet you the guy will flee from you today and will never show up. Right now, if fear or any devil has been harassing you resist him. You can put the devil in his place. God bless you more.
Are not 5 sparrows sold for two farthings? And yet not one of them is forgotten before God. How much more you? The very hair of your head are numbered. Fear not. Why? Because you are of more value than many sparrows. Glory to God!
Abram had to leave his country, his kindred and his father's house to a land God said He will show him. And he went not knowing where he was going.
David had an experience with God so he could trust God to defeat Goliath of Gath
Gideon didn't know that with God, every thing is achievable.
Every person has a reputation and if two people are going to walk together they must agree. Often when you want to agree with someone one thing you will consider is his or her reputation - has he done this before and succeeded? Does he keep his word? Is he/she reliable? Often when you are dealing with someone you trust you don't need to understand the person very well yet you give him or her all the support the person needs. God has said, ".... and lo I am with you always even to the end of the world." Can you trust God that He is with you in this time of global crisis? Daniel's friends made it clear to Nebuchadnezzar that they won't bow because their God is able to deliver them. And even if God chooses not to deliver them they will stay with God and trust Him. You know what? The God who is reliable sent the fourth man to deliver them in the furnace of fire. For 40 years the children of wondered how God would feed them. He rained down manna for them. If God can't get you what you need on earth, He will rain it down from heaven above, glory to God. Precious One, the question still remains - can you trust God in this time of pandemic? Can you reliable more on Him than your capability? Can you hope the best for you ahead of the year because the greater one is with you? This message will bless you more.
To him that is pure all things are pure. To the godly all things are sacred and must be handled with sacredness.
You are the righteousness of God in Christ. This means that if God says He is a righteous God the proof of His righteousness is you and me. We are the physical representation of God's righteousness. This is big. This is why God expects and demands that you live righteously. To live Righteously is for you to produce the fruits of righteousness. What does it mean to produce the fruits of righteousness? Simple, it means do not resist evil. Influence and affect lives positively in a way that glorifies God. Practically how can we do this? Jesus gave us a typical example - you have heard that it's been said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But I say unto you that when you are smitten on the left cheek turn the unto him the right cheek. If someone wants you to go a mile with him go with him two miles. Further, He said that if someone wants your coat don't go to court to challenge the matter. Rather add unto him your cloak so he can look good in your coat. Don't curse your enemies but pray for them. Bless them that despitefully use you. This tells us something that God's righteousness does not fight evil. It transforms evil. Pray for your enemies because weak people will want to make his fellow being an enemy. If someone by his wickedness will smite you on the left cheek add to him your right cheek. If he's able to smite you on both cheeks he will never be able to sleep comfortably without his conscience tormenting him of his wicked way. Precious one, by living Righteously we can bring transformation to our crooked generation and glory to our heavenly Father. This message will bless you more.
Knowing that we are living in the last days we are to live soberly, not as fools but as wise, making the best use of the time to the glory of God. It is important that we will pay attention to how we live lest we be cast out at the appearing of our Lord Jesus. To live sober is to do all things under the government of reason and letting all your reason be under the government of the Spirit of God. Why do you do what you do? What is the motivation for the things you do? Is it for the self or is it for the honour of God? There are motivations for all the things we do. Intentions, drive for all the things we pursue. God does not look at our actions. God pays attention to the intentions behind our actions. This is why Jesus said that if we want to live without sin we should do all things with love as the intention or motivation behind it. Love for God and love for the neighbor. Sampson was a man anointed by God to bring deliverance to God's people. He couldn't live soberly. His end was not honourable. Sampson will go where he is not supposed to go because he thought to himself that he can conquer anything. He loved strange women such that he would not listen to his parents who were guiding him in the way of the Lord. Sampson couldn't bring his appetite, desires and temper under reason and his reason under the government of the Spirit of God. Precious one, John the Baptist said, "He must increase and I must decrease". Do all things to the glory of God. Live not to project yourself but rather the one who died for you to live. Do not seek the honor of men but rather the honor of God. Live a sober life. This message will bless you more.
Jesus is coming again. Paul continues to admonish us by the Word to deny ungodliness and worldly lust. Not because we are ungodly or we are lustful. But rather, we are living in a time when iniquity shall abound. We will find evil becoming the accepted way of life. A time and era where the culture and the accepted way of life is contrary to the word of God. We are to deny all form of ungodliness. Now, the question to ask is what does the scripture means when it mentions ungodliness so we can deny it. Ungodliness focuses on whatever would lead us to doubt His being, deny any of God's essential attributes; His providence or government of the world, and His influence on the souls of men. Every thing, also, which is opposed to the true worship of God. Not only are we to deny ungodliness but also worldly lust, including but not limited to such desires, affections, and appetites, as gluttony, drunkenness, lasciviousness, anger, malice, and revenge, etc.; together with the immoderate love of riches, power, and fame. Christ is coming for a spotless church. If you and me are going to make it to the end without regrets we must, in the running around about our business, to prioritise our stand against all form of ungodliness and worldly lust. If a man gains the whole world and loses his soul what is the use of his gain. This message will bless you more.
Paul, by the Spirit, admonished that one of the critical areas to pay attention to is enduring sound doctrine. If there's one thing we have learnt during this crisis it is this - We are living in the last days. If we are going to make to the end we must prioritize our endurance of sound doctrine. The devil knows for sure that false doctrine has the capacity to render the believer confused and perplexed. And in his perplexity or confusion he can disenfranchise the believer. But as economic difficulties grow and the quest to survive intensify, what used to be wrong will be accepted. What was unrighteous would be deemed acceptable. But you the believer - Endure Sound Doctrine! Already, believers today are battling with some doctrines although scripture clear on every matter. However, because of our lust (thus we wish the scripture does not see the matter from this angle but from our angle so we can have our desires) we are unable to endure sound doctrine. For instance, it is a sound doctrine that God hates divorce. Divorce is not of God. Jesus speaking on divorce in Matt 19:9 stated, "...in the beginning it was not so". He went on to state that whosoever divorces his wife except it be for fornication (homosexuality, beastiality) commits adultery. And adulterers shall have no part in the kingdom of God. This means, many may miss their place in the kingdom of heaven because of remarriage. Precious One, endure sound doctrine. It is sound doctrine that all those who will want to live godly life will suffer persecution. Or, the true Christian life comes with persecution. Precious One, are you struggling with some Bible doctrines? Do you really want to subscribe to sound doctrine? Then, don't gather sermons to compare which one makes sense to you but search the scriptures yourself. And with the help of the Spirit you will come to the light of the knowledge of God. This segment will bless you more.
The world we live in today is not like before. The world has transitioned from a theonormous culture to an autonomous culture. A theonormous culture is where man looks up to God in all his efforts. Where we all believe in God's law in the form of how our conscience dictates wrong or right. Autonomous culture is where every person lives in his/her own world, where each lives by his own laws.. As such, right or wrong has become a matter of individual interpretation. This is a deception of the devil. The clear lines between good and evil, right and wrong are getting diffused. Many Christians have therefore failed to speak into others' lives to bring correction and instructions in righteousness. But the word of God remains absolutely true for all. Paul by the Spirit is charging us today to live beyond the autonomous culture of the time and reprove, rebuke and exhalt others with all long-suffering and patience. Some people are on the path of false doctrine. Those need to be reproved or convince. Paul often would enter the synagogue to convince the Jews that Jesus is the promised Messiah. Some believed and others did not. By convincing some he saved them. Others are on the path of destruction. Those rebuke with all long-suffering. Don't stop till they come to their senses. It won't be comfortable to them but it will be beneficial to them. Others are in a strait, losing faith. Let's make it our business to encourage those who are growing weak in the faith. In so doing we will save many for the kingdom. There's nothing as beautiful as spending your life to save others. Then can we say, "we have fought a good fight". Precious One, let us prioritize others' lives going forward. For greater love has no man than this. That a man will lay down his life for his brethren. This message will bless you more.
One important lesson we have learnt during this crisis is the fact that we realize without doubt that we are in the last days. As a result re-prioritizing the important things in our lives will mean taking into consideration the things that have eternal value. The things that would count if Christ should appear today. This is why Paul, by the spirit is charging us to be Instant In season. To be instant in season means to be urgent and to be forceful. It is important that as people of God we are urgent with the things of God and forceful with the things that have eternal value. Paul was a man who was forceful and urgent in season and out of season. Paul always made sure wherever he found himself and whoever he encountered in life he would share the eternal message. He shared the gospel in every city he found himself. When he was imprisoned and he could no longer travel Paul wrote letters to encourage, to correct and to guide many in Corinth, Ephesus, etc. The missionaries that brought the gospel to Africa, India and China had to be forceful against all odds. Today we are forceful and urgent when it comes to our salaried jobs, career, parties, house warnings. But we have excuse for the things of God. How forceful are you in winning souls? How urgent are you with spiritual things? This message will bless you more.
Paul was about to be executed. He wrote his final letter to his son Thimothy. In this letter Paul charges Timothy to prioritize important things in his life so that he might be blameless before at the appearing of Jesus Christ who shall judge the quick and the dead. The first thing Paul charged Timothy to prioritize is to preach the Word. Why? It is the desire of God that all men come to the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Not only that but also the word is able to make one wise unto salvation through faith. Preach the Word because the gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes. Paul charged him to prioritize preaching the word because the word is the true lamp unto man's feet and the true light unto our path. As a people who are coming out of crisis, the question is what have we learnt from this pandemic and how different are we going to live our lives. If we have truly learnt we will reprioritize our lives. Those who have learnt these few months that material wealth means nothing in the face of this global crisis will understand that prioritizing eternal things is important. It is time to prioritize eternal things so preach the Word. Preach the word in the public transport; preach the Word in market place. Preach the word in the boardroom; preach the word in the office place. Preach the Word to your friends; preach same to your family. Your neighbors and work colleagues, your coursemates and your business associates all need the word. Let God's desire for all men be fulfilled through you in every way everyday. This message will bless you.
Isn't it beautiful - that the eyes of the blind will see and the ears of the deaf will hear. Not only that but also the Lame will leap and the dumb will sing for joy. All because God will do what the human mind cannot conceive. And just at the seeing of the wondrous work of God the deaf would hear, the lame would leap and the dumb will sing. But at hearing of that same wondrous works of God the blind will see. Glory to God. Today, in the face of a great challenge many people have gone blind - they can't see a future for their lives. Businesses have collapsed, investments have been lost. Others are deaf because they can't hear anything hopeful but only the rising tolls of death day after day because of this virus. Some are become dumb by the shock of the ongoing pandemic. Fear has paralyzed others such that their lives have simply grounded. But hear this - Can water spring forth in the wilderness? Can streams flow in the desert places? Then hear ye the word of the Lord - For in the wilderness shall waters break out and streams in the desert place, says the Lord. Precious One, in the midst of this current adversity shall hope spring forth. In the midst of this furnace fire shall the fourth man be revealed. In the midst of this global crisis shall life spring forth. He is a wondrous God. Hallelujah! This message will bless you more.
Say to the fearful hearted - Be Strong. Fear is not a good thing. Fear can weaken hands to curtail performance. Fear has the ability to weaken knees to stifle progress. When hearss are full of fear our strategic mental powers gets crippled. But in the midst of the storm God will be the hope of His people. God is saying to His people to whom He said, "my glory shall fill the earth as truly as I live", Strengthen the weak hands. Not only that. God is also charging us to make firm the feeble knees. Why? Behold, your God is coming with vengeance, even God with a recompense. He will come and save you. From now going forward you will have no fear. For you shall know that you have walked through the valley of the shadow of death and yet you were unharmed. Nothing else would make you afraid. Say to the fearful-hearted, "Be Strong". This message will bless you more.
Throughout the Bible we find that God has always been the hope of His people, especially in difficult times. Our times are not different. The God who does not change will be the hope of His people. God has said, "As truly as I live, the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord". This indicates that His light is going to break through the darkness. How is He going to do it? Thus says the Lord the wilderness is going to blossom into a garden. We live in a time where nothing seems to be going on. Men and women, young and old are all locked down in their homes. Many are asking questions, "what are we going to do? What next is going to happen? When is this going to end? Will we be able to recover from the impact of this blog al pandemic?" Many questions but no answer. I came to tell you - the wilderness is going to blossom into a garden and the desert shall flourish like the cedars of Lebanon. Previous One, this is the season to raise high the hope of your expectations. This message will bless you more
When sin is present the glory of God ceases. And pestilence fills the vacuum. This was the case when the children of Israel sinned in the days of Eli the priest and prophet of God. They went to war against th Philistines. The ark of God which is the symbol of the presence of God was in the camp of God's people. But once sin is present, His presence and glory will be absent. What happened? Israel was defeated bitterly and for the first time the ark of God was captured. But if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. When forgiveness comes, God shows forth His glory. As we have sought for His forgiveness, He has pardoned. And because He has pardoned all the earth shall he filled with the glory of the Lord. Precious One, from today going forward, th glory of the Lord shall fill the whole earth. Do you believe? If you shall truly believe you should see the glory of God in your personal life. This message will bless you more.
Moses also had to intercede for the children of Israel. They had made their mind to return back to Egypt when they were just at the border of the promise land. God concluded - I will disinherit them and wipe them off the face of the earth. And out of Moses I will raise a new generation to take the land. So soon the children of Israel had forgotten that God has been the one fighting for them right from Egypt. He subdued nations before them. He split the Red Sea with the blast of His nostrils. He rebuked kings for their sake. Now, they are faced with the giants of the promise land and their conclusion is that God brought them this far to kill them. They measured themselves against the giants of the land instead of the giants against God. Fear took over them; anxiety gripped them. They said, "let's return back to Egypt". How were they going to cross the Red Sea again without God? You see, when fear seizes your mind, you also lose your strategic mental powers. God was going to wipe them completely but Moses stepped in. Moses' argument was simple because God is a simple God. Moses said, "O my Lord let your power be great" by demonstrating greater long-suffering, great mercy and pardoning their iniquities. In effect, Moses challenged God not to respond to the unfortunate unbelief of these people but rather respond by who He is. The greatness of every power resides in its ability to endure and forgive. God is great and He is all powerful. As a result, He also concluded, "I have Pardoned them according to your word". We have prayed also for our nation, that God would forgive us. We have taken God out of our lives and said, "we don't need Him. We are better off without God". We have permitted what God has called abomination and confusion. And today God says, "I have Pardoned according to your words". So then, let the nations lift up their eyes for their redemption draws nigh because He has pardoned according to our words. Let men and women, young and old, educated and uneducated raise their hope because He has pardoned according to our words. This message will bless you more.
Daniel also had to intercede for his people in the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus. He needed deliverance from captivity for his people. He understood by the books of the prophecies of Jeremiah that the 3time of deliverance is now. Though the prophecies indicated that the time of deliverance for his people is now yet he Daniel understood that it required prayer and fasting with sackcloth and ashes to shift the prophecies into gear. Hence he set his face to fast and pray. And the first thing he did in his prayer of intercession was to acknowledge God and ask for his forgiveness. Why? Daniel was a man of understanding. He knew that if God truly is a God who keeps covenant with those who love Him and keep His Commandment then being in captivity is a proof that God has not kept His covenant with them. And if He has not kept his covenant them its a proof they have not loved Him and kept His commandments. If they have not kept his commandment then they have sinned. So it became necessary that he starts to intercede from the point of their Iniquity. So Daniel's prayer is summed up in this statement - "O Lord Hear, O Lord Forgive." Precious One, it is time for us to cry to God with this same statement - O Lord hear, O Lord forgive our nations, our people, our leaders, our ministers, our judges and corporate officials. O Lord hear, O Lord forgive our fathers, our children our colleagues, our church leaders. O Lord, hear and forgive. This segment will bless you.
Abraham stood between Sodom and God. He negotiated for deliverance for Sodom and Gomorrah. He argued that because the righteous are also in the land it will not be proper for God to destroy the entire cities. God's response was this - if I find twenty people in the land I will not destroy it. How about ten righteous? God's response was the same - if I find ten righteous there I will not destroy it. This suggests that God was willing to spare the entire cities if ten righteous men were there. Now, if a matter between man and God, another man can intercede how much more a matter between man and hell? For the sake of the righteous in the land it cannot be considered proper that our cities and nations be destroy. It can't be proper. If we can negotiate God on behalf of another man, city or nation then we can command and rebuke the devil and hell on behalf of the same. We can lift up a standard against every flood of demonic pandemics and pestilence. If believers would pray on behalf of the nations of this world we will bring the power of God to bear on the current situation that confronts us. Remember, whatsoever we shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. This message will charge you to intercede like never before.
And I sought for a man among them, to make up the hedge and to stand in the gap.... But there was none. When the natural is overwhelmed the supernatural must be brought to bear on that realm. When man's effort becomes inadequate, divine effort must be invoked. At such a time like this God needs a man who can stand as a wall against the pandemic and a bridge between the natural and the supernatural so that deliverance can happen, miracles can occur and the salvation of the Lord would be revealed. God needs an intercessor at such a time like this. A man or woman who will want to pray at least one hour everyday on behalf of our world today. It is good to share and forward protocols that helps people to stay safe. But it's better when you are also interceding for our world. When James was arrested and beheaded it was because the church did not intercede. Hence Herod didn't see why he can't take Peter as well. When Peter was arrested and imprisoned, men and women prayed. The angel of the Lord was sent to deliver him. Intercession procures uncommon results. This message will bless you more.
Crisis has a way of making you fear and perpetually have the worse case scenario set before your eyes. You are always hoping that the worse will not happen. Jacob was being cheated by his own uncle. What a crisis. He wanted to turn the situation around. God appeared unto him and said, if you want th animals to give birth to speckled and spotted offspring set peeled rods of chestnuts in the watering trough. When the animals come to drink, their eyes would be set on them, and reproduce he same. What you set before you during prayer or crisis, will be produced in your life. Joseph was sold into slavery. It took 22 years for him to meet hi brothers and to reveal himself to them. Joseph, who understood how to live above crisis said, "you meant it for evil but God meant it for good. God sent me ahead of you to preserve your life. So God had a bigger plan. Jacob and his family would have perished if Joseph had not bee sent 22 years ahead. The God who saw 22 years ahead before famine crisis came upon the then known world and therefore sent Joseph ahead, that same God is 22 years ahead of you. Before your crisis emerged He had sent someone ahead of you 22 years ago. Precious One, this is why you need to raise your expectations. Help is on the way. Your God is gone ahead of you. Let your whole body reflect that God did send a Joseph ahead of you 22 years ago. This message will bless you more.
The fact that Jesus is in the boat does not mean that storms would not beat against you. It will, but be rest assured that with Him in your boat you are safe. This is the lesson the disciples learnt eventually. Jesus was sleeping in the boat and the wind and the sea were beating against their boat. Jesus was still sleeping. How could someone have sleep in the midst of storm? If you know your God nothing intimidates you. When the skills and experiences of the disciples couldn't steer the boat any longer they went to the master for help. There are certain situations that would require the supernatural assuage it. Jesus woke up, looked at their faces and saw only fear. He questioned them,”why are you so fearful. You of little faith.” And He got up, rebuked the wind and the sea and they ceased. Glory to God. Precious One, if you will rebuke the storm in the name of Jesus it will cease. This podcast will bless you.
