Planning a wedding is quite a big task in normal times, but this isn't a normal time. Brides to be currently planning a wedding in the Coronavirus pandemic are facing extra struggles. If you're getting married that's how you should be feeling too! In her own words "I'm planning a wedding and I want to enjoy the process" and "I'm getting married in May regardless". I think every girl out there has a vision from being young of how their dream wedding will look and Alexis is no exception to this. Influenced by the small number of Royal weddings we have had in recent years she wants that level of style and simplicity for her own big wedding day. And why not! Alexis and her fiance Thomas are planning a big family wedding at Rowton Castle where they are having an unplugged ceremony so that all their guests can experience their special day through their own eyes and really live in that moment. Creating her own wedding DIY's to save money to enable them to have the lavish wedding of their dreams will no doubt help others to aspire to do the same. If you are planning a DIY wedding yourself then you'll find loads of inspiring ways to keep the costs down and get creative for your own dream wedding. This episode is perfect for any brides out there who are currently in the middle of planning or replanning a wedding taking place in under the ongoing and ever changing lockdown restrictions here in the UK. Karla and her fiance originally planned their wedding day for November 2020 but brought their wedding forward to September leaving them 2 days to make all the necessary arrangements for their special day! Looking back now Karla and Dean feel incredibly lucky to have shared her wedding with their nearest and dearest and wonders why they spent so much time sweating about the small stuff instead of whats really important. Originally they planned to have a Harry Potter themed wedding with 113 guests, which quickly became a smaller intimate wedding with no DIYs and a fraction of the guests. Here's an honest opinion on how that felt! We talk about the emotional impact of having a smaller ceremony, the drama of bringing the wedding forward and how it feels to BE MARRIED! Kat and her fiance originally planned their wedding day for April 2020 then postponed to December 2020 due to the current pandemic. In that time they realised that being married was super important to them and made the decision to bring their plans forward to the summer of 2020 keeping within the current restrictions in the UK with only 12 guests. We talk about the emotional impact of having a smaller ceremony, the drama of postponing and how it feels to BE MARRIED! And how they plan to celebrate with a larger number of friends and family next year.
